Thanks for the review. Just bought one for my wife. She loves it! It is plenty of power for her. Most people are surprised it’s an e-bike. It’s such a clean simple design which is part of the reason I bought it. The Bali graphics are beautiful in person.
I ride a standard Townie 7-D and it is a good bike. Bare bones, but well made and I have heard the same thing from Electra e-bike owners. I talked to a guy who has the Cruiser Go Step-Over and he is putting in some serious riding on it, and going a fair distance, too.

Yeah, this is actually a pretty great cruiser. They dialed in the clean, light, efficient design. Most competing cruisers tend to be busy, heavy, and inefficient. For comparison, I'd look at the Blix Sol Eclipse which weighs about 8lbs more at 54.7lbs electricbikereview.com/blix/sol-eclipse/
One important point, even with a "just" 250 Watt Motor, there should be brake inhibitors, especially for older riders. Safety first for a almost no cost improvement.
Yeah, it's a mixed bag. None of the Bosch, Shimano, Yamaha, or Brose ebikes have motor inhibiting brakes, because the sensors are so dynamic and utilize torque. I don't fault Electra for skipping it here with their advanced cadence sensor. If there was a throttle or if it was a cadence sensor only, then I would be a little more concerned.

The right mix of features for the tourists with single speed, almost no exposed cables and battery in frame.... and with a 250w motor, maybe less likely to get Granny or Junior in serious trouble.
I agree Skeeter. Actually, I think some of the earliest electric bikes were Electra Townie with hub motor conversions... I think Pedego might have started by doing one off builds that way! The battery wouldn't look as nice, but you'd get more power, range, and probably a throttle. I prefer rear hub motor, but front could work for this too :)

i think he is saying this is a combination sensor both cadence and torque, also a torque sensor can be at the bottom bracket or the rear hub, the torque sensor on my Ariel Rider W-Class is at the bottom bracket.
Bafang makes a bottom bracket torque sensor. One is installed on my Ride1Up LMT’d. I suspect it also senses torque though I don’t see that it claims to, as lightly moving the pedals will cause the motor to put out a very small amount of work.
This is just perfect for an awful lot of folks. If you don't need to climb a lot of hills, it is going to be just fine. You are looking arca bike that most are content to ride 6-8 (maybe 10)mph traditionally. This may be more comfy at 10-12, but e-bikes should make traditional cycling more convenient, comfortable and accessible, not faster.

Boy oh boy its really hard to justify the price on this ebike when you can buy a Mokwheel Asphalt ST that comes with a 500 watt motor, 14.4 Ah battery, front and rear lights with separate break lights, 7 gears, fenders and rear rack, torque peddling, throttle, great color display, horn, hydraulic breaks, 2 year warranty .... All for $1,500. Its also a step through (they also make it with a full frame if you prefer). I sincerely would like to understand why anyone would prefer this ebike?
Well, this is a new model that hasn't been covered before. I do repeat myself a lot, because I think many viewers will be new to the channel and only watch a couple of videos before making a decision. I try to be consistent, thorough, and cover a variety of products. There are many ebike channels now, and some offer entertainment, others do news, so it's a healthy ecosystem. I'm open to your input on how to improve or what you'd like to see :)
Your running 'steel _rust/scratch comments are a bit ocd....sctatches are part of a bikes 'rights of passage"...its need some "red/rust badges of courage".
Good point GKT. I like to comment on the different materials because of weight, vibration and flexibility, as well as rust potential. I tend to repeat myself across bikes because I feel that a viewer might be coming for the first time and just be interested in this one bike. I've had cars with little chips that eventually rusted, and I learned that touch up paint can prevent this... so that's where the feedback comes from. These bikes are so nice, it's great if they can be cared for and made to last... but it does come off a bit OCD, which I kind of am :P
yea I agree that identifying' alloy/non ferrous parts is important. Personally i dont like you all taking up imp review time ..with this questionable thoroughness. I personally want to know more details about the running gear...its reliability...parts availability...dyi off warranty stuff. Let's face it the lack of transparency regarding proprietary parts is a big problem. I already hear the c/o of folks with 'toe- stubbers' / dead bikes. We don't need another reason to beat up the working stiffs' in these developing countries that provide us our consumer goods our scary trade deficit.. to say nothing of most of these countries of origin' civil rights records..living conditions. Dare we mentioned thevecological impact of these electronic devices and the predatory third world sourcing of the bikes materials?

It felt decent to me, because the support is dynamic. You've got a cadence + torque sensor, so each of the three assist levels can deliver a range of power vs. one fixed band.
