15:13 mark....For the bulb tops I pull the metal piece up but not all the way out of the little top piece, put the top piece back in then push the little metal hanger piece back into the bulb. They usually pop right in because pulling it upwards is essentially pinching it.
Thank you, Brandi, for sharing. I love all of these. My favorite is the candlesticks. Yes, to a pinecone video. God Bless you and your family. Have a Blessed weekend.
DIY Snow Paste- Mod Podge, baking soda and white acrylic paint (apple barrel, folk art, etc). For it to glisten add some white glitter, crystal glitter, iridescent snow flakes.
I'm big on reuseing and upcycling so i use the cardboard from soda 12 packs to make my cone trees. Once its opened upmits really big. I tape the handle part if they have been pushed through. I also secure mine with tape because i like the edge to,be flush on the cone. I used some thicker, fluffy yarn and some leftover macrame cord to wrap them and they are gorgeous.
Something I do with the bottom-of-the-jar candle wax is, after I’ve collected enough, melt the wax and then dip my pine cones into it. I place them on wax paper to dry and if desired dip them again. Arrange them on a nice tray and they look like Christmas trees on a snowy day and they smell beautifully! Lastly if you cut the top of the pine cone off and paint them they’ll take on the look of a Zinnia. From there you can make a Spring wreath or add stems for a bouquet. Just thought how with modpodge and paint and then pour a little inside your ornament turning it in different directions to create a design on the inside. Challenge yourself and use an acrylic pour technique.
Love, love, love the ombre candle holders. 👍 for a pine cone video. You sounded a little down, hope things are OK with you. Sending love, hugs and good vibes your way!
Brandy you're a hoot! I also use sponges instead of daubers or Panthers and I get the big huge sponge that's in the automotive section at Dollar tree and just cut it into sections for the craft or project that I'm doing at the time.
I am loving this video. Like i said i like to upcycle and your crafts are easily modified for upcycled materials. Love love love the santa letter jar. I had my kids cut out the picture from themads or catalog (y'all remember those Sears catalogs??! I miss those) and put them in an enevelope and off to santa they would go.
❤❤ Hello beautiful lady, newbie to your channel. Thanks for sharing your cool talents. Yes I would love to see you make more pinecone tutorials # replay ❤❤
Girl yessss these are beautiful I love all of them!! And thank you for all the tips with mod podge I kinda have a love hate relationship with it!! But you have taught me a whole lot!! And I appreciate it so much!! Specially now that I got the TDS PAPER! I would be pissed if I fuccked up any of that beautiful paper!! I’ll be making some DIYs with it this weekend and I can’t wait!!
I loved everyone of these! Loved all of these hacks! I will be attempting to do a few of these! Thanks Brandi I would love to see more DIYs with the pinecones ♥♥
😂🎉❤hi Brandie ….new viewer here ! Fun times with your video thanks so much … would love to see a full video on pine cones … I have a bunch… mostly smaller than that one which would be great to come up with a lot of ideas maybe .. love the sweet idea for the kids to put their list ideas in the little cookie jar from $ tree ❣️Happy Thanksgiving ❤ 🦃 Kim from Oregon
Love your ideas and teaching! Yes! Please I'd love some Pinecone craft ideas. I took have a lot of them. Some gifted to me too. Sorry to say I do not have a big beautiful one like you used in your video
Love your DIYs and tips and tricks. Wondering if you could do a video on what glues work best for different projects? For example, glueing metal to wood - what works best for permanent hold? Also, glueing things to glass. I appreciate you!
I have a video about glue.. I did a series on my channel trying things years ago and figured gorilla glue gel works best let me try and find it for you..lol it's a fun video
Love your mod podge creations!!! The wires on the ornament caps should have little ridges at the bottom of the wire. If you pull the wire up into the silver cap, then push the cap back on the ornament, you can easily push down on the silver wire, and it pops back out. Hope this helps! 😉
Try it on a piece of dollar tree wood first. Get 3 sponges or pounces. Dip one in one color the other in another color and move them from each end towards each other. When they almost touch keep popping color on each side and use the 3rd blank sponge to blend the too and clean it as needed if it becomes to saturated with one color over the other
I just came across your channel. I like your relaxed, fun way of creating. It’s just crafts y’all. Any pine cone ideas you have are welcomed. I’m prepared. I’ve subscribed and I’ll ask the neighbor to ask the neighbor about gathering up some pine cones for me. Or I’ll just go take some and keep my trap shut. Let the games begin.
The hangers are ridiculous but the smaller ones are worse. I had to use needle nose pliers and a lot of $@#$ words. I know the feeling. Your projects are all cute. Thanks for the video.
Brandy, Have you ever done a reverse mod podge? I saw a crafter do it and her craft was so beautiful. The candles stems have a pearl essence to them or the the look of the inside of the oyster shell. Do you put the mod podge on the item that you are going to paint on first before you lay down the stencil and tape it? OR Do you put down the stencil, painter’s tape, Mod Podge, paint, (Mix pod podge and paint together)? Dry between layers. You made Saturn.
All AWESOME ideas Brandy. All look gorgeous too. I love the idea with mica powder in mod podge. I’d like to know if you’ve got ESP lol. I was very kindly given a bottle of purple mod podge and when I realised how long it took to be able to use the thing I used it on I decided not to use it but then had no idea what to do with it. Then your video comes out and what do you use but the purple mod podge. I got an idea at least, with how else to use it than what I’ve got it for. Seeing how it’s a big bottle I’ll be dipping string for the next 20 years though lol. Do you have any other ideas for using it Brandy. I’d really appreciate it if you do. As I can’t see very well I can’t read the bottle to see what it says. I even went on Plaids page and the only thing I could find was someone recommending not to use it, so no help there either. Loved all your projects, especially the big pine cone on your door, it looks awesome.
15:13 mark....For the bulb tops I pull the metal piece up but not all the way out of the little top piece, put the top piece back in then push the little metal hanger piece back into the bulb. They usually pop right in because pulling it upwards is essentially pinching it.
This is a really great idea!! Thank you
@@thediystruggle Came to say exactly what she said, but she definitely explained it better than I would have! Squeezing makes it ALOT easier!
I always take my tops off and hot glue them back on. I hate dealing with tops popping off.
Happy evening, everyone

I'm gonna try your idea. I hate putting those tops back on ornaments.
I love the way you get the two colors to blend into each other. I have quite mastered that technic yet any tips?
Try it on a piece of dollar tree wood first.
Get 3 sponges or pounces.
Dip one in one color the other in another color and move them from each end towards each other.
When they almost touch keep popping color on each side and use the 3rd blank sponge to blend the too and clean it as needed if it becomes to saturated with one color over the other
Hope that helps

You measure micah powder like i measure garlic😂❤ until it makes your heart happy 🎉

Hi!
Hey
GOOD MORNING,
TRY REMOVING YOUR GLOVES WHEN ATTEMPTING TO RE ASSEMBLE THE TINY HANGERS...💜
I will try.. those pointy pieces hurt me so much..lol
How can I send you a picture of the mason jar with the reverse mod podge.
Email me at thediystruggle@ Gmail.com
Or send me a message on IG
Love mason jars
ANOTHER TIP: TRY USING BLACK YARN TO WRAP AROUND THE PINE CONE (2-3 TIMES)
Thanks Jan
Does the mica powder come off like glitter? I hate glitter.
It does not it is on there sealed! Its amazing!!
You make me laugh
I forgot to mention it during the preview but I've gotten adhesive spray at my DT
