I never ever realised that there was such wit and irony in people of that era! It is hilarious and could have been a Harry Enfield “Mr Grayson & Mr Cholmondly-Warner” public service announcement. Forget Cambridge Footlights, forget Saturday Night Live & the Comic Strip, High Wycombe Photographic Society was the place to be! Oh to be able to say “I had a hand in making that”
Based on the "Determined Girl Works Her Way to the Top Man-by-Man" story outline, this 1954 parody looks like it may have used 1933's excellent "Baby Face" as a well-known reference of that time as a template. Certain angles, poses, and expressions of the actress even remind me of those of Barbara Stanwyck, the lead actress of "Baby Face." Really fun and well-executed trailer!
Brilliant parody, thanks for posting it. At first, I thought the humour was ahead of its time - then I remembered this was the heyday of the Goons! - I can imagine Peter Sellers doing the voiceover.
@ get it stupid-the comment was specifically designed to demonstrate simpatico with the basic thrust of the video. Do learn to pay attention. Fuckhead.
@ get it shithead- if you were capable of reading insightfully, you’d have understood I was simpatico with the vibe of the video. Do try to read at a fifth grade level fuckhead. Go ahead and delete this again- I’ll be back asshole.

I can imagine watching this at the Palace on Frogmoor...
This is absolute genius and shows a massive understanding and mastery of what it's sending up. Huge respect.
Great spoof! So much better quality than the version that was available before, and with the music track too.

Speaks to the moral decline of our once glorious nation. One hopes it is refused certification by the RSPCA or whoever. Outraged of Bingley Heath
