These ships are mainly for business men or people who are travelling for some work or for people who carry large quantities of luggage or raw materials for business and other purposes. It all depends on the schedule of ships. You have to check in DSS counters that the return ship is available on your desired date or not? If it's available then Yes, or else No 🙂. I will not be able to guide you right way like this for cheap flight rates my friend 🙂 The cheapest flight cost totally depends on which category of flight you are booking? And how well advance you are booking? So in order to get cheap flight rates try to book your flights well in advance may be before one yontwo months. And always try to avail various discount coupons or discounts which are available on various credit cards and debit cards so that your ticket cost can go further down during check out. By the way the cheapest flights for Port Blair you will get from Chennai. It will be around 7k per person (one way fare) if booked before one to two months. From Delhi I'm not sure but the cheapest flight can be around 9k to 10k if booked in well advance. Please check and compare the prices in sky scanner or similar other websites before booking. Hello Krishna, The main reason for ship is the cost. People travelling in bunk category can travel in 1/3 rd price of flight. Secondly various businessman take lots of luggage with them, like they do clothing business and all, so they purchase it from the mainland and travel via ship. Thirdly few people have a craze to travel via ship and spend few night in it and travel to Andaman. So they take the higher class categories and travel. And at last sometime there may be a huge spike in the the flight price due to some festival or occasion, so in that case people prefer ships, because the ship prices are like train fare. They don't go high or low. So in my opinion these are the few reasons of taking ship to Andaman. Thank you 😊👍
I think one should go by Ship if possible because one can travel in Ship ONLY where it is a sea route else on land either you travel by Air or by Train, the mode which is already experienced by many. Ship has its own fun. I do not find any fun in travelling by Air, the only advantage is time saving else I do NOT like it at all.

Ship me food ka cost additional hota hai. It's not included in the ticket cost. And there are separate dining areas and food counters for bunk class and other higher classes. And for payment you can buy food each time as per meal basis or you can also buy a combo coupon for all two to three days of your journey which includes all your breakfast, lunch, evening tea and snacks and dinner. The cheapest flight cost totally depends on which category of flight you are booking? And how well advance you are booking?
So in order to get cheap flight rates try to book your flights well in advance may be before one yontwo months. And always try to avail various discount coupons or discounts which are available on various credit cards and debit cards so that your ticket cost can go further down during check out.
By the way the cheapest flights for Port Blair you will get from Chennai. It will be around 7k per person (one way fare) if booked before one to two months.
From Delhi I'm not sure but the cheapest flight can be around 9k to 10k if booked in well advance.
Please check and compare the prices in sky scanner or similar other websites before booking.

Nepali citizens are allowed in India with id (no passport required), so logically in that sense they should allow you in Andaman also with your Nepali govt. approved i-card. Because it's just an another area of India only. So whatever rule is applied in mainland, that should be applied there alao.

The main reason for ship is the cost. People travelling in bunk category can travel in 1/3 rd price of flight.
Secondly various businessman take lots of luggage with them, like they do clothing business and all, so they purchase it from the mainland and travel via ship.
Thirdly few people have a craze to travel via ship and spend few night in it and travel to Andaman. So they take the higher class categories and travel.
And at last sometime there may be a huge spike in the the flight price due to some festival or occasion, so in that case people prefer ships, because the ship prices are like train fare. They don't go high or low.
So in my opinion these are the few reasons of taking ship to Andaman.

I think one should go by Ship if possible because one can travel in Ship ONLY where it is a sea route else on land either you travel by Air or by Train, the mode which is already experienced by many. Ship has its own fun. I do not find any fun in travelling by Air, the only advantage is time saving else I do NOT like it at all.

Ship me food ka cost additional hota hai. It's not included in the ticket cost.
And there are separate dining areas and food counters for bunk class and other higher classes.
And for payment you can buy food each time as per meal basis or you can also buy a combo coupon for all two to three days of your journey which includes all your breakfast, lunch, evening tea and snacks and dinner.
The food menu has veg as well as non veg options on different days as per their schedule, and if suddenly the sea becomes rough, then the menu also changes as per situation.
