You know, it would be sooo convenient if they had the touchscreen order thing at the drive-thru just like the already have inside. That way you just place your order, drive up front, and then they just get it ready and give it to you. No hassle, no problem.

Y’all both so beautiful. I think all drive thru speaker should have a button to push if need assistance. So once you push it someone can just come out. They need to have something like that for all of them. Y’all shouldn’t have keep dealing with the disrespect.

I think you would have more iewers if you had subtitles. What little ASL i learned was 40 years ago. I did not have anyone to practice with so most of what I learned is forgotten.

Yes I agree you should have been treated better. BUT also, standing up for equality does not = name-calling (i.e., calling people morons, implying someone is a lesbian). It’s equally inappropriate.
EVERYONE is fighting their own battle (me included, you included, the girls at the window). For example, I am autistic and have a LOT of emotion attached to that because of how I am expected to act BUT it’s not an excuse to verbally abuse non-autistics.
Another example, I watch a lot of deaf/HoH videos to learn about your culture and learned that some deaf people find it easier to lipread. So why would I voice and “waste my breath on you?” So that you have the opportunity to read my lips IF that is easier. Why “waste my breath?” Because it is not a waste to treat you like *I* do everyone else, equal. I hear, I speak. I voice to you AND I gesture. Should I use a way to communicate so you can understand the best I can? YES! Can I keep moving my lips while I do it (making eye contact with you)? YES!
There are many disabilities out there. If I met you and you expected constant eye contact for example… that would be difficult for me. Many (not all) autistics find eye contact very uncomfortable. But maybe as someone deaf/HoH you have learned eye contact is a good thing for communication. So you maintain eye contact and I feel wayyyy awkward. Should I call you a moron? NO! Definitely not! I should explain to you what accommodation I need to feel equal. Education and understanding. ❤

This is F*cked up... You go on a rant bout EQUALITY and then make a snide comment about the lady looking at you like she's a lesbian?!? You're a hypocrite. Everyone needs to be decent, the servers AND you guys.

This is partly why we need robots at these places. Usually rude, arrogant and ignorant young girls with attitude who are not the least bit bright. Robots will be efficient, more accurate, and probably sign. Let’s go robots!

I really hope this channel gets bigger. I've worked at fast food places a lot, well mostly in my youth. I picked up basic ASL and Spanish just so I could help customers to the best of my ability. Can I say that I would have never of taken your phone, you would have seen my ass get some paper write your order down for myself, so I knew I had it. Then I would have told the chick at the window to NOT stare and if she was trying to learn to see how I handled things then to LOOK at me not you. You learn from me, not by staring rudely at the customer. I feel weird taking other people's personal belongings even if they are showing me something on their phone. So yeah I wouldn't have taken your phone, that was odd. But yeah, I might not be the best at ASL or other spoken languages but I try. And you are right, regardless of how long that line is, you have the same exact right to be there. You are taking the amount of time needed to get the services you are paying for just like anyone else. I'm really sorry that you both were made to feel awkward or ignored in those situations. For me, I might not be deaf but I do have visual issues. I'm blind in one eye and my vision isn't very strong at all, I don't like using drive thrus because I have a hard time reading the signs and even if I go in I still have a really hard time reading what is on the menu, I normally order online which is what I am comfortable with but in truth I shouldn't feel like that and there should be more accessibility options.

The guys had a very different experience! I can only assume it was because they went to different places but all places should have the same level of accessibility to order food. I don't know why people were voicing to you when you said you were Deaf already but people aren't the smartest
