I prefer to place all flowers of the same color together and make sure none of the same species are touching each other so I can water them and have them duplicate (minus a golden rose).

You shouldn't have got rid of those rare hybrid flowers like the Purples!!!!!! even though you only needed 2 you could have sold them on Nookazon for alot of bells or decorating your island with them as a flex

I doubt anyone will reply but how do i make sure i’m able to put plants on the dirt path? Can i only put flowers in the dirt path the game gives me or can i use a custom design ?

So you can't plant anything on custom paths, but you can put flowers on both dirt paths and sand, and you can plant palm trees on sand paths as well! Hope it helps!
