Blocks: Using Tensor Flow to Find and Grab Rover Ruckus Gold Minerals

  • This video demonstrates how to create an autonomous op mode that causes a robot to seek and grab Rover Ruckus gold minerals. It includes video of navigating to three gold minerals and links to BLK and PDF files of the actual op mode.

    If you knew the FOV of the camera you could use the pixel offsets from the center in order to figure out your angle error, then just use a PID heading controller to turn to that heading. After that you can use those same pixel offsets to find the position of the gold mineral, so you could use a basic encoder system to travel to the exact position you need to. Just a couple of ideas, may or may not be useful to anyone looking to go deeper.
