"Never givin' Up" imo is one of Aaliyah's most underrated songs in her catelog. The way they sung this🔥🔥🔥 It was supposed to be just Aaliyah on it but Tavarius sounded so good, they made it a duet. He was only 14/15 at the time I think. One of those songs that really showcased Aaliyah's strength as a vocalist. People have her twisted when they hear songs she sang that she didnt have to belt it out (especially in the 90s when everyone was trying to sing like Whitney). This song called for that vocal ability and she delivered 💪🏾💯 that song also made the Brandy cry because it was so good
"Got to give it Up" does sample Billie Jean AND it's a cover of the biggest black gathering song of all time by Marvin Gaye. She dances with his hologram in the video. Slick was singing about her song "At Your Best" in his 3rd verse. The song NewNew was jamming to in ATL😂
"4 Page Letter" is Timb's fav production on this album. Missy wrote & sung some background. Aaliyah's bro wrote the treatment for the video. The beginning "Turn my music up" was a mistake😂 Missy was talkin to the sound engineer & when Aaliyah heard Missy say it in the demo, she thought it was supposed to be included😂 they ended up keeping it🔥
Never giving up that's my number one song on the album I can play it on repeat I love that song man I don't know what it is it's so beautiful I can drive and listen to that song on repeat again
Aaliyah sounds like an angel on 4 Page Letter...love her voice on this track.
"One In A Million" is a classic from top to bottom just hits after hits.
Writers do not necessarily write songs for themselves all the time, they're usually meant for someone else.

Right, Aaliyah was 17 years old when this album was released, and 15-17 during the recording of the album. For "Got to Give It Up," Aaliyah sampled a Marvin Gaye song and reinterpreted it in her own style, which is why they reference him and when Slick Rick sing ''You're a positive motivating force within my life'' it's a reference to an Aaliyah song from her first album, the song is ''At Your Best''. In this album, there are music videos for "One in a Million," "Hot like fire (remix)," "4 Page Letter," "One In a Million," ''The One I Give My Heart To'' and "If Your Girl Only Knew'' You made me laugh with "Never Givin' Up," indeed, everyone was in love with Aaliyah, even Timbaland admitted he fell in love with her, haha. She was truly beautiful and had a unique style and voice. Many artists were influenced by her. This one is her second album, her last is ''Aaliyah'' released in 2001, one month before her death, and her first album is "Age Ain't Nuthin But A Number'', released in 1994.
