If there's a trap with a vent you're only getting water AFTER the vent because you're sucking air through the vent and NOT the water in the trap and condensate pan. I use a wet vac and use duct tape to seal the vent insuring to clear drain pipe, trap and condensate pan. Having said this it looks like a useful tool.

Just purchased one due to my pipes being clogged up and it works great.
What if no water comes out ?
