  • This is my take on the Encabulator techno-jargen videos as suggest by one of my subscribers. I rewrote the script to actually pertain to the functions and mechanisms of my prosthetic hand.
be sure to have closed captioning on for this video.

The video is ment to be funny and is actually a modernized remake of a classic" meme before memes were a thing" the original was titled turbo encabulator. There have been several remakes of it

First, you take the dinglepop, and you smooth it out with a bunch of schleem. The schleem is then repurposed for later batches.
Then you take the dinglebop and push it through the grumbo, where the fleeb is rubbed against it. It's important that the fleeb is rubbed, because the fleeb has all of the fleeb juice.
Then a Shlami shows up and he rubs it, and spits on it.
Then you cut the fleeb. There's several hizzards in the way.
The blaffs rub against the chumbles, and the plubus and grumbo are shaved away.
That leaves you with a regular old plumbus!

The way the jargon escalates from “okay I know that word” to “from context and some root words I recognize I can figure out what this means” to “I’m going to trust that that’s a word because I’m not educated in this field” to “okay you’re just fucking with me” to “dingle arm??” Which I am still not entirely confident is a made up joke term because from what little I’ve picked up by osmosis from engineering minded friends has taught me that sometimes the real technical terms are goofy as hell
Having it still relate to the actual function of the hand while slowly getting more and more incomprehensible was such a good move. Lulls you into a false sense of security and ends with you questioning your sanity.

The missile knows where it is at all times
It knows this because it know where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is, whichever is greater, it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't and, arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation; the variation being the difference between where the missile is and where it isn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it, too, may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows: because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is, however it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice versa. And by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

Joke or not, your invention is still amazing. You are an inspiration as an engineer and as a man. You stood up to the strugles in your life and used your ingenuity to solve them. With your spirit high all the way.
If you are not what Aristotel meant by magnanimous man, no one is.

Seriously though this work is amazing and complex and i couldn't understand more than 5% of what you said but i get the basics: you've outdone anyone else in this!
    Deepest respect and congratulations.

"The reciprofication of the dingle arm" -- we've all been there man... I saw the title and thought, "Where have I heard of an encabulator before..." and once I stopped laughing at the cat scene, it hit me. Very fun video :)

Absolutely magnificent creation! Truly a work of art! Ian, I am honored to witness the development of such a wonderful invention, and I sincerely wish that you and your genius became more recognised, and hope that your work would mark the beginning of something even more grand - a revolutionary way of making prosthetics for all people who are in need of such, and all mankind in general!

I watched the retro encabulator video recently. I love these kind of videos! XD
What I especially like about your version is that it references a lot of real things from your prosthesis even if they are sometimes described with random, fancy sounding words XD. I actually got to learn something while being entertained!

I'll take your entire stock. Hopefully, one day this could be fully implemented and I could finally have a mechanical prosthetic for my left foot, if it's possible, which I'm pretty sure it is. Keep up the good work, you got this.
