I just noticed that my brain adjusts so much faster to realistic motion than realistic aesthetics when it comes to prosthetic hands. When I watch other videos that show aesthetically realistic prosthetics with stiff movements, my brain keeps registering and noticing the artificial hand. With your hand however, I notice it for a few seconds and my brain just stops registering it as artificial unless I focus on that fact consciously. Due to the range of organic motions you have with your prosthetic hand, my brain just accepts it as a "real" hand. What a fascinating effect.

The muscles of the hand and wrist are designed in such a way that the pinky finger acts as the strength axis. As such the pinky finger and the muscles and tendons it's responsible for account for about 50% of a normal hands grip strength. Also mine like I've stated in a newer video of yours it works with fiber optics and yes just like the internet lmao. Only problem I might have is if some else could move it I can but I need it to be for everyone because that's the point but of course I made it so that I can move it Frist and work the rest out later. But also like I have said before I really like how your hand works. It's mechanical and I really like that I also really like how everything looks my hand started as your design but I changed it so that the weight of each finger is correct with what an actual finger weighs well as close as I could get. But I'm still working with it once it's done you all will know
Try adding some compliment mechanisms to certain areas where applicable they are quite unusual but they reduce part count and friction due to them not having joints

But I wanted to stop by to say that I admire your hard work and tedious efforts in making such a magnificent prosthetic device! Hard working inventors and tinkerers are what America is about. Keep it up!
Just stumbled across your channel Ian and I'm subbed! Absolutely fantastic content. I've been AK and AE left side since 2008. I fab some of my own prosthetics too but nowhere close to your level. My hat is off to you good sir.. keep up the amazing work!!!
Turning into Luke Skywalker!
More of a Doctor Wilhelm Voigt.
This is bloody incredible! Much love man! 🔥❤🔥
Like I've said before I'm working in my own but it works much different and the progress is going very good it moves very well. I hope to make a video on it soon. But I'm still working with it once it's done you all will know
I didn't really understand how it worked before, but this video made a lot of things clear.
Try adding some compliment mechanisms to certain areas where applicable they are quite unusual but they reduce part count and friction due to them not having joints
