Merry Xmas to you both! You are certainly right about 1984 and it being a signature sound/year for the decade. I think the 82/83/84 years for me were the some of the best regarding the quality of the songs on the radio and in the top 40 charts, and is a favourite sweet spot in my listening habits. 👍👊🎸🎧
There are so many high quality tunes on that chart. I'd happily have half of it on a compilation/playlist. My top ten: 1. Night Ranger - Sister Christian 2. Peter Schilling - Major Tom (Coming Home) 3. Lionel Richie - Running With The Night 4. Slade - Run Runaway 5. Laura Branigan - Self Control 6. Rockwell - Somebody's Watching You 7. Rick Springfield - Love Somebody 8. Corey Hart - Sunglasses at Night 9. Scandal - The Warrior 10. Dennis de Young - Desert Moon Nadolig Llawen a blwyddyn newydd dda to one and all from sunny Wales!
