Would have loved it if it finished off with Bluetooth and Multiband 6, but not a deal breaker. The mod is definitely funky and has a split of opinions, at lunch today I had 3 people love it and 4 people... well not love it LOL.
Fantastic mod to the G King! I did a similar mod to a GW5600 with a titanium bracelet and it seems that the same kit will fit the GX56. I’ve been looking to do a mod with the iridescent metal and think I’ll do it, but with the Rusted Iron model.
That’s awesome mate, I get some flak and some nice comments on this mod, super divisive, but it was fun to do, the King is a big watch, and it was fun to do a big mod.

Totally mate, I know this can be a little daunting, this is where I got this bracelet and case from www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005707012111.html My tip is always to check the customer reviews, quite often they will show the final look, to see if the right branding is there or not.
This is a good question, negative displays always feel hit and miss to me. After having both I would always opt for the positive display. When I get back home I'll give it a test, but I'll be out for a week.
So I did some testing around different light conditions, in well lit rooms it's not too bad, however when the light is not great, and I'm talking about shady, not dark rooms, the ability to read is pretty bad, and you need to hit the light to see. I still like the watch for its size... But as you say on an inverted display it's not so readable.
Totally cool mate, I have had a mixture of feedback, my wife said it looked awful, and a colleague at work said it was very cool and cyberpunk. Good to try things that challenge ideas.

What are your thoughts regarding the legibility of the King when outside? Thinking about getting one, but the negative display kind of worries me...

Outside in bright light, it's not too bad to be honest. But you need to be looking directly at it, at an angle super tough
Ngl the watch great before but honestly rainbow steel is just tacky
