No matter what, I always pack my personal item bag so it contains what I need to “survive” without my all my other luggage for at least 48 hours. I haven’t filled out a customs form in years and I travel internationally several times a year but a pen is always handy. I use wireless Bose earbuds and I have a pair of crappy wired earbuds if the IFE isn’t wireless. (I haven’t invested in the wireless adaptor yet.) I use a Matein travel backpack for my personal item during flights but also carry a Sherpani anti-theft tote/convertible backpack to use as a tote/purse once I hit my destination. I love both. I use a collapsible silicone water bottle. It’s lighter and I can shrink it down. I also bring my international adaptor if I’m traveling internationally (which I do more than domestically). I also bring a change of clothes in a compressible packing cube, a sweater, and snacks. You never know when there’s going to be a cancellation or delay in food service on a plane. I also bring my iPad. I download shows, movies, ebooks, and games before traveling. The IFE may be broken or you’re delayed and need entertainment.
Thank you this fully explains the personal luggage bag thing to me. I will be travelling with my sister, a frequent traveller but its about 16 years since I went on a plane and its all changed
I used to do this too!! I've personally noticed that they have gotten a lot stricter with this in the past year 😅 at least in my experience in the US anyway!
Tinted lip balm! Also, a little pill box with my necessary meds. I have psoratic arthritis and I'd hate to be stranded without my meds. I dont think it would be possible to fill an emergency prescription?
yikes, be careful with that. Maybe that’s okay in the US but here in New Zealand (and likely many other countries), tasers are a restricted weapon requiring a police permit and it is a criminal offence to bring them through the airport in carry on or checked luggage.
I have tried many times to contact you personally but I could not. There is some problem with your UA-cam channel due to which you are not getting views. Your videos need to be optimized. Please respond to me😊😊😊😊
What is something you ALWAYS have in your personal item bag? 🎒
Alcohol (sanitizer) . Kindle. phone. Wet wipes. Headphones.
Anything that has value (monetary - electronics, ID - or sentimental - jewellery) or a pain to replace (medication!!!)
@@tray2811 oh jewelry is a good one!
@@xiinasiomai same same 🙌🏻

Yes yes yes!! I filmed a section about snacks but it got deleted 😭 snacks are key!
Always check the size/weight requirements for airlines. Some of them can be very different!
Yes!! Learned this the hard way 😅😂

I'm so glad you found this video helpful!!
I have always traveled with a hand luggage, a purse and a backpack all combined. Some airlines do allow that
