I saw Graham solo acoustic years ago, great show. He spoke briefly about the songs before playing them. More of a "show" than a concert, could have been on Broadway
Of the first four Graham Parker albums, only the fourth, SQUEEZING OUT SPARKS, was played on the New Jersey, New York City, and Philadelphia radio stations to which I listened back then. If, wherever you lived, HOWLIN' WIND, HEAT TREATMENT, and STICK TO ME got on the air, those must have been the coolest stations.
as with every concert filming it seems the camera guys/director don't understand which instruments are making the noises; lots of close ups of GP's rhythm guitar.
It's Andrew Bodnar, from Parker's former backing band - The Rumour. He's a phenomenal bassist who also played the bass on Elvis Costello's "Watching The Detectives". This guy's my all-time favourite bass player.
One could argue this fine show presents Graham Parker at the height of his career, at least in terms of record sales and radio airplay.
Holy crap, I was at this show! Amazing to re-live it 32 years later. Thanks for uploading.
Mona Lisa's sister!!! One of my favorite GP albums.
A master class in songwriting
Followed Graham Parker from his very first album "Howling Wind" a great artist.
My , glass jaw ... jesus ! Thanx uploader !!!
G.Parker kicks ass !!!

Thunder and Rain!
Love that voice!!
what a great band
Great band. Very tight. Wish he would do more of his more recognizable fm hits from the first 4 studio albums. But that’s what Graham does.

Love the 'Mona Lisa's Sister' album, and there's a lot from that album, mixed in with some greatest hits, GREAT set list, thanks for posting!
Probably the best GP concert I've seen on UA-cam. Even better than the Rumour days.
Excellent as it is, IMHO, even with Brinsley & Andrew.. nothing in the world is better than G P with the Rumour live
❤ his stuff.cool dude.
Durban Poison brought me here. The song that is.
GP is best with the Rumour and it’s horn section. The Stick to Me album is his masterpiece.
lol my dads in the audience somewhere!
My uncle is the drummer!
Max Parry Wow that's amazing!
Excellent upload, thanks!
I put him along side of Bob Dylan.
: ah !... nan... mais c'est terrifiant les coups de basse qu'ill y a dans ce live !
35mn : et oui, Bob Marley écoutait Graham Parker !

Woz there
Not enough of good songs from Parker. What an ignored talent but this is not helping by tossing in not so great songs.

@@richardsiebierski5923 Thanks, I just thought he seemed a bit tall for Andrew, but I suppose his right hand action gives him away.
Springsteenitus ....yuck.
Loved the wordmaking...😁but I can't catch the drift.
Bullshit.
Oh please. Nothing like him.
He does sound a trifle less constipated then Springsteen.@@peterzang
