Couple of noted, David Neres was also very unlucky with injuries. He had a lot of them, most of the time when he started to play well again. And Veltman had a limited transfer amount, but it was not a hard amount. He could go when a good offer came along. That was done because of his loyalty to the club, his limited amount of playing time and because he was just back from a big injury. He deserved a move at his age, so Ajax didn't try to get more money for him.
He probably regrets that even more now
3:33 there was no need for that violation 😂😂
Hasn’t Onana pre-signed a contract with Inter Milan?
Still hasn't go to inter tho,so i guess that count
@@ichangemyopinionbasedonpeople yeah but it’s worth mentioning
Mateo* not Mateiyouw
Ajax sat too long on Neres's transfer. Should've sold him around 2019.
Day 176 of asking why is messi better than pele
I can highly recomend to watch Lasse Schone most beautiful goals for Ajax. From scoring incredible long shots to outstanding freekicks. Schone had won like 3 or 4 times the goal of the season award at ajax. In a few of the years he won, second place was also a goal he scored
He really schone in front of goal
@@finnmcneil7393 Well done there
Reminds of that free kick against Real Madrid
The Goal of The Month for Ajax is called ‘The Lasse Schöne award”
@@debayanbhunia7084 i loved tjat goal so much, it is one of the best freekicks in champions league history, not the best but top 15
I wish Ten Hag the best of luck cause he’s gonna need it.
Although personally I wouldn’t have picked Man. United.
Its a great moment for a coach to go to United right now, it can't get any worse than ragnick ......
@@RdamWest rangnick is not a great coach...he is the best as sporting director...you will see how MU will improve in their profit...because RR is great in that field...you will see new MU in 5 years time
tbh united is probably the best team to mange when it comes to the fact if he does well in united he would receive much more praise and reputation than any other team. United are the most supported team in the world, the amount of attention you would receive is much more than even real mardrid and barcelona
@@boney__70 if united fans can be that patience for 5 years, or we’ll see a different united in the championship
As a Dutchman, I wouldnt have taken the gamble on ten Hag.
Ten Hag is a very brave man for taking on the mess that is Man Utd it can go either 2 ways for him he's a success and wins major trophies at the club and have his name etched in managerial folklore or he doesn't succeed and his reputation is completely tarnished but it's a risk he's willing to take so i wish him well.
TBH, I don't think his reputation will be tarnished at all if he doesn't succeed.
He is taking over a club that isn't really well run, he is taken a job that at this point is like the everton job.
But Man Utd brought him in specifically because of his reputation and to make them a force again not simply to be battling for a top 4 finish every season so the pressure on his shoulders is huge he will need to get rid of all the deadwood and build his own team so time will tell which way things will go for him.
Nah, its a great moment to go to United, he cant do worse than ragnick..
i hope he gets Van De Beek back
Managers don’t have to be brave. They are either successful or they get shit canned with all the money they would have earned had they stayed the entire time.
Ajax Amsterdam are one of my favourite respective clubs daily and ever in this world and other planets and they could have been an unbeatable force in mainly the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League even now, good friends!!!:-D
Comments section: " do the most passes made by a substitute goalkeeper in the Nepalese under 17 league"
Pity what the Bosman ruling has done to teams like Ajax can you imagine what the club could have won if wasn't forced to sell their star players every season it's a shame really considering the rich history of the club while oil state backed teams with significantly less history such as Man City and PSG can snap up players just like i really hate the way football has gone.
it is indeed unfortunate, but up until then players could be frozen out of teams at the managers discretion. john bosman`s actions helped many players out of impossible situations. many players at the time said that his actions actually allowed them to move easier between clubs and leagues in order to find better salaries, conditions and, ultimately, success.
The squad they had with Sneijder and vd Vaart was insane
Onama will move to Inter in the summer and lost his place in the starting eleven after being hated by the fans, Tagliafico also lost his place in the starting eleven, but the fans do still love him.
Ole was very harsh on van de beek. I hope ten hang brings out the best in him once again
Didn't suit our style at all, not sure if he even seeks the league. But ole didn't want him
@@jhaych what style of football did we play? He was not given enough game time to proof if he was as poor as mcfred or not. We don't know his preferred position. Just like when thiago came to liverpool, people said the same thing but he's one of their inform players. Donny would have brought stability to that midfield. Apart from matic, none of our midfielders can hold the ball in possession. Ole fear of our defence(maguire) made him to keep playing mcfred even against lesser teams who wouldn't attack.
@@ogbonnachibuike4616 I think the issue was we relied so much on Bruno being free that if Donny played at the same time it limited Bruno, and he was never starting over him, so Donny had to play where he was less comfortable and reliable. It's just a case of poor transfer business and squad balance from a UTD perspective and unfortunate for VDB
@@TheJGTurton true. Poor planing has been our problem also.
@@jhaych man u has no style anymore, all balls on the portugese
Surprisingly good pronunciation of Willem II!

Sorry but Jose Mourinho got really close and actually won a respectable trophy and only had one full season with a team of unprofessional players
Of Mourinho had come in straight after Ferguson they'd never have declined like they have. Their last bit of success came under him 😂
@@adamprice9888 yes he wanted more money spent on a midfielder and new backs but the glazers declined.

Lol class lad
While including Neres, you could've mentioned that he got injured and lost his form and starting team place due to that
Hope he goes to benfica
Hey Alfie, you should do a video of the rescue of Hearts FC by their fans and their turnaround since.
Would be better to do this video if they can finally be that non Old Firm club who qualifies for the group stages of Europe, most likely the Conference League next season. If not then they're just a regular and barely-known (internationally) club in little Scotland.
Day 253: Indonesia XI If All Eligible Players Had Declared For Them.
Keep dreaming bocah
Who is there?

Okay, since no one is gonna say it I might aswell. I've noticed you working hard on your pronounciations and you haven't missed a single one! Great work, the extra detail does it for me.
Have you seen the guy who comments on every pronunciation? Doesn't seem to say anything positive or allow for Alfie's accent.
Day 18: Considering that the last player who played in the miracle of Bern died about 5 months ago, I would really like to see a video about the whole story between Germany and Hungary, especially because it meant so much to at least the German population
Day 437: Ways to fix VAR with your suggestions
Maximum review time of one minute with on screen timer and ref mics and its fixed for all, so it wouldn't need a full video
he already made like 2 videos about var that kinda includes ur video idea
Compliments for using Dutch terms like Eredivisie and Klassieker 👌😉
Why do i feel this is like "doing a Liverpool" a couple years later, when they hired Jurgen Klopp. I understand if someone think this is comparing apple and oranges, but check this. Both of the team Klopp/Ten Haag came from, Dortmund or Ajax are well known to find good players and develop them into great players.
So the big question will be, will Man United-supporters stand behind a manager who doesn't look for the biggest "star" names, but get players who can be star players
It's not the fans we have to be worried about. It's whether to board will allow him to find exciting young players with potential of instead of forcing him to sign nothing but shirt sellers.
@@Noobie2k7 Then he should get it in his contract that he got veto over every signing. And beside that, get his staff of scouts
Does not go for star rather make them star.
Isn't what Sir Alex did for 26 years. Thats why fan wanted Ten Hag over poch.
@@Dipesh1234 Correct. He bought this danish keeper for VERY little money. That guy turned out to be the great dane Peter Schmeichel.
A lot of man united fans will turn on him I can see it now😂 it's vintage behaviour from them.. not saying all United fans btw, just their armchair plastic fans
he will be sacked before the world cup

Day 21 of asking awesome person Alfie to make a video on Detroit City FC and to look at a club with partial fan ownership, a historic stadium built during the great depression as part of President Roosevelt's Works Progress Administration, and a rowdy group of supporters known as the Northern Guard who are championing the fight for equality for all minority groups. Oh and also, we just beat MLS side Columbus Crew in the US Open Cup.
Ten Hag has become arrogant and a sore loser at Ajax the last few months. He is going to have a hard time with this man utd team.
Onana is finished. He signed at Inter and won't be playing for Ajax anymore.
Here before Manchester United Bottle the Top 4 Race in the 2022/23 EPL Season …. 👀. ⚽️
Man Utd actually got relegated in the 2030 season of my FIFA career mode, I honestly couldn't believe it, they had a single season in the championship and came straight back up. Never ever seen that on FIFA before.
I once saw it happen to Arsenal, in both a FIFA career and an FM career of mine
@@lidoanhoxv9662 it's weird how it goes on football games sometimes, Watford are another totally random team on FIFA, iv seen them qualify for the champions League on FIFA several times after a few seasons. Also Brighton seem to finish in the top six regularly on FIFA 22

7 most expensive sales in Erik Ten Hag's career
7 ManU midfielders Ten Hag needs to cut
Where is DUSAN TADIC???!!!
Ten Hag joined Ajax halfway through the 2017/18 season. Ajax was out of europe, the cup and trailing PSV Eindhoven in the league by quite some margin (which is why his predecessor was sacked). The last half of that season didn't go great either, PSV became champion with like 4 games to spare, when they defeated Ajax in a straight game at home in Eindhoven. Very humiliating. But that summer Ajax bought Tadic and Daley Blind, and they created the best CL season since 1996. So Ten Hag had been the Ajax coach for 6 months when Dusan Tadic joined Ajax.
I remember watching ETH first game for Ajax a couple of years ago when I was still living Jamaica. De Jong and De Ligt at CB was hilarious because they both just went anywhere they wanted. I think de ligt scored at worldie that game from 30 yards after a mazy run from the back
Huntelaar on the Ajax Board had me on the floor 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
3 man midfield is not a theme in Ten Hag's entire managerial career. At FC Utrecht he played 4 4 2 diamond midfield pretty much exclusively.
You know someone is a fan when he starts pronouncing Dutch club names correctly. Kudo!
I've not watched one of these for a while but two and a half minutes must be a record of waffle before it actually starts
Will I understand Erik Ten Hag if I haven't seen Erik One Hag through Erik Nine Hag? 😁

He can maybe help bring back van beek back to his best
I love how you say 'Willem Twee' and not 'Willem Two' haha 😁
In real english is it William the second.
Ziyech and tagliafico were my favourite players under ten hag
How itll start: ten hag plays youngsters and players he brought in
How itll end up: ten hag splashing the cash on expensive fixes with mixed results like every other manager since fergie
How does ajax lose their players always for such low fees compared to benfica for example.
oh wauw you said willem 2 fantasticly.
Mourinho wouldn't have failed if they had only listened to him...
Pandemic are quicker then this guy's starting intro
onana has signed for Inter if i am not wrong
It is not sure of that is true. what is true that he is not the same after he came back. His predecessor this season only conceded 4 times in 20 league games. When he got injured Onana got back in the goal again, but he conceded every game, conceding 10 goals in 6 league games, and making a crucial error that got Ajax kicked out of the Champions League. He lost his place now because he played so bad and because of his bad attitude. Shame actually.
Heerenveen* not Hierenvein
"Golden Boy" Award????? 😮
Neres went for 12 million euros not 15-17
They all failed to live up to the hype on their own.
Rashford people keep saying he has been injured why he is not playing well , He went on England duty injured when he should have gone for a operation yet UTD let him go knowing he would not play so the question is WHY did he go , He waited until the Season starts then goes to surgery , Since then he as been a DISGRACE, TO MANY PARTIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST GOT IN THE WAY
Hag* not Horg
Interesting, but it is very hard to understand who you are talking about - since 90+% of pronunciations are wrong :-( (which is normal for English speaking people :-) )
I love it how you butchered Deyovaisio Zeefuik haha xD, but to be honest it is a hard name to pronounce. Ten Hag did a great job once he was appointed as the successor of Marcel Keizer as the manager of Ajax. Nevertheless, I think it is in both interest (Ten Hag and Ajax) to go both their own way. Ten Hag is ready for Man. Utd. and Ajax should build up the squad for next season(s). I hope there will be an Ajax-head coach which will bring in more youth into the maind squad, because I cannot agree that Ten Hag brought a lot of youngsters. Players like Naci Ünüvar need to make more 'flying hours'. Great video though! And love it when you make a video about my favorite club AFC Ajax.
A unique video idea 💡
7 teams that have wore the colour of their rivals ⚽️
Was thinking like why Man United wear blue even though it’s dark and City have wore red and black as an away shirt and are rumoured to bring it back for next season 🤔
Also Everton had that red stripe on black and Arsenal wore that all white kit to highlight knife crime 🤔
Also why do England wear dark blue shorts sometimes, surely that’s due to the Union Jack, but why do they wear them 🤔
Can’t think of anymore at the minute, but I bet I’d be a fun video to research.

Never will forget that Schone goal against Madrid
Before Barcelona signed Quique Setién as a manager, I really hoped that they will hire ten Hag instead. Anyway, gl at United
he is an amazing manager the problem is that man united is a big mess the big problem is will they give him time cuz he will need a min. 2 season to make united a good team and if they will give him the players he wants, if i´m not wrong man united will have about 200m to spend but will they buy players that he wants or will they buy star players only
