I was just there last week again. It's quite safe, there are fewer tourists than there were in Feb, but the numbers are going up so you can definitely consider planning a trip.
Yes. These videos were shot in Feb’22, when I travelled and things weren’t this bad. There are still tourists in Sri Lanka right now though, contributing to the local economy and doing a little bit. Tuktukrental.com has also been facilitating support throughout the country in what way they can. Hoping these vlogs eventually go on to help travellers (whenever they do travel) find the right places and support the locals.
