I think the angle grinder skills are the most impressive part of this video. Cutting a straight line is hard enough, let alone those complicated angles and curves
True that! I like the grinder he's using, but can't tell what brand it is.
@@jeremyd6823 probably Bosch
@@jeremyd6823 at around 7:09 you see the petroleum coloured body, it is a Makita!
Use a grinder everyday for the right situations and it's speed, power, and accuracy with an 045 wheel will follow...and a little editing never hurt a video
@@jonathanlarsen4177 he usses more then one grinder one is a bosch and one is a makita don't really matter what brand it so he doesn't have to change discs as often
If I did this MIG weld test like him, they will instantly fail me on the TEST!!! I guess it is okay if it is for a small home project but not for industrial projects.
That's all I was trying to figured out here... the welding was seeming odd. Full disclosure... I'm not an experienced welder. But it just looked weird.
Mighty, they probably wouldn't even let you finish the test, they'd be too busy laughing you out of the shop if you pulled that spotweld nonsense!
It would have been so cool to watch them TIG... or at least lay down a solid MIG bead right?
My thoughts as well. Spot welds are not structural welds. Maybe good for furniture or a fence.
I'm not certified and even I was horrified.
With all the tacking he may not be the greatest welder in the world but his grinding skills are great and creative , a lot of guys can’t even do a straight cut properly - sure it may not be less stable if he’s welding that way but most of it looks like decorative parts that are not going to be used in places where there’s really a need for a lot of durability ☺️good work 👍
"Grinders and paint make me the welder i ain't!"
Neat cutting and bending. Terrible weak welds.
Amotherfreakingmen to that!
Yeah I can’t stress how much I hate those welds.
@@vandebe1 you can't hate what's not there. sorry i didn't see any welds. those things are just glued and about to spring back open
How can you tell?
@@AGPMandavel no heat into the metal, no protective gas, needs constant flow not tec tec tec you follow? then grinding the already weak welds makes it worse.
Wow a 90° angle but it takes longer! Genius. These are totally pipes! Wow!
Right? These are the most pointless cuts most of the time and there was not a single pipe in the video, all just box section.
I'm jealous. Very jealous. Kinda mad too. I could have used those skills back in the day when making an iron structure. That's some mastery at welding and with the angle grinder.
Well, not so much the welding part tbh
It’s not welding, but it is art!
My metal shop teacher would love this video he would make us do all sorts of pipe welds and grinds just like this there are a few inventive ones that I like improvements on some basics.
When I see this "welds"... just tacking. Set your welder right, and weld. Not spot for spot, with an arc that gets edited out... And why the wire brush when it is grinded anyways?
I was saying the same thing your called a welder not a Tacker and if you are going to show complex welds show how to set up your equipment so people get the right idea. I've been welding for 30 years and the setup is one of the most important part so your weld is a true weld and not subpar tacks.
i think its just a video effect,🙄
You should put up a video to show them how it done dude. 😂
It’s irritating isn’t it…all the metalworking “hacks” on UA-cam and they always seem to edit in tack tack tack with their mig then show the finished product to look like a tig bead then they grind it down flush…🤦♂️. I’m like, ok there went all the strength of your “weld” buddy (or string of tacks to be more accurate).
Your not going to get invited to be a guest.
Are you a robot?! Your precision cutting is unbelievable! 😮
A grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't
😂
I'm a professional welder. While tack welding makes no sense here, they will hold for decorations. He's pretty good with his grinder. I wouldn't trust those welds to bear large amounts of weight.
its so hard to lay a bead. hahaha
Measure to size, cut to fit, paint to hide... ; )
I use his joints... they work 60% of the time... all the time
Factories: Just make sure it holds before going going out the door.
“Grinding your welds to make them look good, doesn’t make you a welder, it makes you a grinder”
If you love what you do it doesn't become work. This is beautiful to say the least
Pipes are round. This guy is welding tubes. Halo!
Excelente video!!! Yo soy aficionado, y parece muy sencillo pero se necesita práctica.
Fascinating…genius.
Can barely express how satisfying this was to watch!
Really excellent and exciting to know about different types of joints...
One of the most relactifying videos on the www
A question for experienced welders: Welding technique aside (bead versus continuous) - how would you join 2 tubes so that they would have a rounded corner?
There are a number of videos on YT using these grind and weld techniques and a lot of welders say they they are not structurally sound.
How would you do things like rounded corners (referencing a video is fine also)
You get rolled material. I've been doing structural for 20 years and I've never seen a rounded corner like this Etsy level nonsense.
Beautiful work
We call that weld style.. "commitment issues"
Really, thank you for sharing. Impressive.

I just got inspired to be a welder,😊
Top grinder cutting skills too.
Simply clever!
Las críticas, aunque sean insidiosas y malintensionadas, no le restan un buen mérito por su ingeniería e inventiva. Gracias por compartir maestro metalúrgico.
I don't care what academics say. For me, this is ART
Ancient Chinese welding secret. It's the welding for me, amazing.
I studied welding and became a master welder in CHINA, Best hour I spent in my life
A welder of 45 years once taught me, if you have to use a grinder after you have welded... Then you're a grinder not a welder. That said, some of the aesthetics here require a grinder. Make the apprentice do it! Lol
You give a kid a few toys and suddenly he’s posting tutorials. I see bridges and high buildings collapsing soon
Some really cool techniques! Thankyou
Exelente trabajo👍
Wow!!! Sei un artista. 👍👍👍
So many angled solutions. You are awesome .

Awesome truly awesome.
Nice work!👍👍👍👍
Incredible..! YAOWZZA! 🔥
Satisfying vid to watch with nice music. Very nicely done
You make it looks so easy.. we all know its not. Amazing.
This is bad welding.
Genius stuff 👍
This so soothing
So much work, marking out and cutting not to mention grinding away 80% of your weld ....wow....
Two words ... mitre joint
Super videos Bro. 🙋🏻♂️🇵🇪
Great video. Thanks
Genius 😮
Gr8 vid! Thanks ⚡✌
Ain't got a clue about welding but that looks tip top 👌
No. Spot welding is just bs, those welds are weak af
@@batziii8745 yh I suppose mate good point
Nice work u area a professional👏👍
Mesmerising.
Dude, your amazing! 👍😎
Genius!
Baela int forstui mej mei opansu geronda!!! Mei geronda! 😊
that square tubing weld from 3:30 would also even look cooler if you put half steps in and zig zag weld but leave the welds ungrinded, that would look real cool 😊
With all the awesome cutting, I'm kinda surprised that you can't weld. Some good welds would step this up.
Always check your angles after you paint
It would help more to actually weld the metal up, first, instead of just a row of spotwelds which do nothing but waste welding wire.
Nota 10 muito bom
Tengo más de 40 años trabajando hierro pero siempre se aprende buen video buen trabajo
"GOOD VIDEO, GOOD JOB" ?!? He can't even run a bead!
Thank you for posting. You do great work and the videos are very helpful. I subscribed to support and I look forward to watching your videos.

God job👍
Very nice and awesome and you qre not welding but actually you are making art.
No, definitely not welding, for sure!
This makes me wanna get a tig welder! 🤤
Super💯🌹
Good gob . Your amazing 👏
Nice!
Are those quick little welds actually strong? I’ve heard that doing it that way looks good but is weak.
It’d be cool if you tested it compared to traditional welds
They are weak. (I have a degree in fabrication and gave been welding for 20+ years). The beginning and end of a weld is the weakest part. So the multiple tack method= lots and lots of beginnings and ends. This method will fail any actual inspection in any industry
@@dannyberg4294 buddy, hope you help me with a question. I'm a furniture maker and sometimes i fabricate metallic legs for tables, metallic bookshelves etc...I always groove V the edges where I'm gonna tack/weld them and after that,i usually grind it with 120grit flap disc and 200grit orbital sander to make the welding spot invisible. Regardless of start and finish welding spots that u already said that are weak, is it weak in general because i grind it to make it as flat as possible?... I use a stick welder, not mig or Tig. Sorry for my English, hope to understand what i mean.
@@dannyberg4294 is he doing it this way to stop it burning through the tubing, or just no idea?
@@dannyberg4294 🤣🤣🤣🤣 degree in fabrication
Yeah and I have a degree in making coffee 🤣

Good Job bro
Greetings,
Great skill. Its tubing I believe.
Very good and very nice bro
I have no tradesman skills whatsoever. Would these joints hold or is this just art?
Your grinder skills>welding
Interssantissimo😊
A lot of negative comments from those who know welding. Regardless of the welding technique, some very interesting work and nice looking results....
yeah, ideas aren't bad, but it's not a good welding method
Bad influence to new welders
Nice _looking,_ sure. Not good welding. Just for being pretty. I wouldn't even trust it for a stair railing! And if anyone tried this kind of welding at a job? They'd be told to pack up their toolbox before the day was out.
Cool pie cuts, now learn to weld.
*MASTER*
Dope
I like his templets he goes from.
I typically program and cut a part like that on our Trumph 7040 5 axis laser. It's much faster than an angle grinder. Surprised you didn't know that.
I'd have used either a plasma cutter or even a torch at the shop where I welded for 2½+ decades. We were a semi trailer repair shop, so didn't have a laser. 😉
Programing is faster than drawing by hand?
Engaging and cool
Really satisfying to watch! 🤗
Really non structurally safe at all. Don't even use it for a stair railing.
Ай красавчик!!!
Valeu!
Гениально
Anda sangat luar biasa
Bon courage
Yes, totally handy 😉👍
Unless you actually wanted to, oh I don't know, actually _use_ those pieces for anything important. I wouldn't even trust it for a stair railing!
