Love this kind of tutorial where you're actually taking the time to talk through what you're doing and why. thank you.
That's awesome to hear, thanks 😊
@@sketch3436 I love Your Work But Not Views Fulfil it
Missed this one, an actual tutorial rather than yet another speed design. Thank you
i'm gonna follow every tecnique you used on this video in order to create my tutorial level. thank you men, i needed this video.
I love Follow-alongs. They really help learn IMO, at least they seem to be the method for me. From 2021, thanks for this :)
Amazing, looks great. I think this is one of your best level design.
Thanks I really appreciate it 😊
Lol Saving my Project every time Contrl + S while watching your tutorial and pressing it while watching video on your editor
Oh wow! The lighting style in this scene is beautiful, and you taught me how to make a lens flare. It looks astonishing! Keep up the excellent work.
Thanks, I really appreciate it 😊
How to make it ? can u teach me too plss the volumtric one.
can you recommmend me similar pack as unity enviornment pack. it's not available anymore.
So helpful, thank you! I didn’t realize reflection probes made such a drastic visual difference.
All good 😊. And yeah, reflection probes are great there are must for all environments in my opinion.
This was amazing and enjoyed watching the creation of the project, and learnt alot too! Subscribed!
Bro graphics is mind blowing mannn!!Thanks for such a tutorial
Thanks for making a tutorial with an afternoon setting! I’m really unable to do them! As always amazing video!
Thanks, I really appreciate it 😊
This is really helpful and we'll made. Please continue to make more videos like these!
Thank you so much for dedicating your time to do this!
this tutorial is very good man. Thanks a ton!
Thanks so much for this video! Very helpful and kind of you!
I like you're level design. nice work!
I just started creating in unity a few days ago and I can already make this! It is so amazing how easy it is to make textures and games! Instead of coding to make my player move, I just to to the FPS mini game and delete everything and remove the gun 😂 thank you for helping me create my own games!
@Random Gaming Ik I tried
Looks really cool! Thanks!
Your Tutorials are Great Thanks
Stunning
Watching this video is strangely relaxing and hypnotic. Great tutorial love these walkthrough style tutorials.
That's awesome to hear, thanks :D
@@sketch3436 Would you consider doing a city tutorial using Sun temple or Flooded Grounds that would be awesome.
@@xaviergordon1343 Actually that's a really good idea. I've been wanting to a do a more complex follow along tutorial but not have to force viewers to download a bunch of different assets. Might do an abandoned city with the flooded grounds pack. Thanks :D
Yeah I think the rocky environment pack with the rocks and boulders pack would blend quite nicely with flooded grounds.
Thank you !!!!!! Your scene looks completely like the game named " The Forest " , there're tall big tree and small tree
All good 😊, I do know that game and interestingly it was also created in Unity
Thats what l was thinking
Dude thank you so much, i really did. Thank you.
You're the best men ! Your tutorials are so cool ! 😲😀
Thanks, I really appreciate it 😊
we rlly need more content like this... it has helped alot thx
Currently working on one ;)

Thanks 😊
Amazing sir i love your work
Thanks 😊
Awesome! awesome again .... and again
Thanks 😊
Wow this is so amazing! And using free assets too!😯 And It does look like “the forest” haha
Thanks :D
I really like your videos. You have almost a Bob Ross quality. Very calming easy to follow. That said I take small issue with the title It's not really done in 30 minutes there's a time lapse.
Haha, thanks 😊. Regarding the title, it's hard to judge what time it should be at since it depends a lot on how large your scene is. So instead, I decided to set it at the video length and imply that you will learn how to get this look in 30mins rather than create an exact replica of what I've done in that time.
maan i`m 100% sure you work for Rockstar and you made whole Rdr 2.xd nice vid
Nice. Subscribed.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks I really appreciate it
Hey nice Level Design!
Thanks 😊
It's great
Thanks 😊
What a wanderfull forest scene. Can you try out to make a kind of in the "forest house or abandoned house" maybe using the flooded grounds asset? Im pretty nice doing it myself but i really enjoy seeing what kind of interesting and nice things other people do with the same assets.
Thanks for the suggestion, I might try it out for one of my insta posts 😊
I am officially a fan
That's awesome to hear, thanks 😊
@@sketch3436 Me too....I mean I am also a fa of yours...
thank for you help 😎😎
amazing! what computer specs do you need to do this stuff at high level such as a large full project?
You are the Bob Ross of unity terrain
Haha, thanks :D
nice work
Thanks :D
good tutorial
Thanks 😊
make more of this, i want to learn environment design
Great
Thanks 😊
I love you videos and I love your toturials and plss make your own game that would be cool
Thanks :)
I would love to start a larger project that when I have the most fun with Unity, however, I just don't have the time at the moment. I do have some game ideas though so when I find the time I will for sure start and probably make a devlog series out of it :)
Hello Sketch. Thanks for the sharing. With the good tools, the good materials and the good teacher it's really more easy ;) I've a small question. I've noticed you are always on "Auto Generate Lightning On"... How dow you do this miracle without having the need to re back lights ??? May be you have talk about this in another video? I haven't noticed in your setting in the start of the video. Or maybe it's may english ;) I'm French :). Thanks.
Hi, how did you add the post processing layer to the inspector? Great video!
Great video man. How do you export the scene as a video?
u should write forest scene instead forest level design^^
because u are doing all this just for a single perspective.
level design would include the whole forrest.
i hoped to see some inspiration here for a bigger forrest :D
but its still nice.
Great, free assets
Thanks 😊
This is really interesting, and informative. As I am having real problems with the Lighting of flowers, and grass, with Unity default settings. They look awful, with too bright metallic grass, and all my flowers just end up being dark/ black flowers. I wish it were easier. It looks like I have to invest more time with the post processing stuff, you explain here so well.
But I am using Unity 2021. Doe this still apply ?
I am also developing for mobile. I guess I cannot really achieve, or expect the same effect on mobile games?
Is the music from Imphenzia ? - It sounds familiar to his composition.
Can you please tell me whats is volume?
The one in which you put post processing profile into.
Thank you.
thanks . i like that ...😮🤨
Hello! I was following your tutorial, but I do not know how to change the grass density and make it look like the grass you are placing. I can't seem to find a way to set density in the inspector. Could you explain how you made those settings?
Hey! I wanted to know, how did you created that "volume" material? I am lost, again lol
@@omk8631 Thank you mate !
I would really love a tutorial on how to make the ambient forest and bird and wind etc sounds.
For my videos, I usually just add the default windzone and then find an ambient forest clip on YT and use an audiosource to play that. However, it would be interesting to make a video on audio design since for an actual game I would set it up differently and there doesn't seem to be many tutorials on it on YT
Sketch okay :)
@@sketch3436 Have u done any yet? If yes can u please send the link to that video I'm kinda searching for such video related to music lol
Are the grass assets from unity's standard asset pack? If so I cannot find them in the environment portion. Please help
Hey what's up I really love your work I was wondering if you could do a level design follow along for city build or town build etc highways roads, all the good stuff thanks! I know thats asking alot.
Thanks I really appreciate it, also thanks for the video suggestion I will be sure to note it down for the next follow along tutorial :)
@@sketch3436 Actually I also want a city or town build tutorial, That will be huge and amazing, and you are a cool and chilling tutorial guy, so I am solely suggesting you to do that.....
The best thing about this tutorial is that you use free assets.
I need help. then I did the whole forest perfectly with the trees that moved with the wind as per preset, only that once the project was saved and then returned, the trees no longer move instead the grass remained unchanged, by chance you have a method to solve?
is everyone getting this invalid editor window error message, i'v been getting this for days and no idea what's causing it.
How did you get the post-processing effects attached to the camera? I cant find it anywhere (using free version)
Question resolved: Check out Sketch's video on achieving AAA quality in Unity: ua-cam.com/video/pPar4bWpHFk/v-deo.html
Nice tutorial bro. But sorry, i can't find a forest ground texture and mud texture. Where can i find it? Sorry for my bad English xD
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I asked this question on a previous video, you might have missed this. But yeah,in reference to the post-processing profile but with the attached box collider for volumetric lighting and fps camera:
I wanted to use an FPS camera to notice the changes. Unfortunately,Unity Standard Assets FPS camera is attached to a capsule collider so it forces the camera out of the profile when interacted with the attached box collider profile. Was wondering whether you knew a workaround.
EDIT:solved. I missed the part where you mentioned to change to trigger.
Great tutorial! where i can download the sun glow?
It's already in the "AllSky Free - 10 Sky / Skybox Set" Asset.
How can I remove the fog when I zoom out the terrain?
I tried to create the post processing but I don't have it. It is because Unity upgraded or i need to download the post processing ?
Im completely new to this. My Question. How do you make the Rocks bigger and smaller?
Select the gameObject and press " r " this will set it to the scale tool, you can drag the central cube to scale of all axes or you can scale a specific axis (colour-coded).
You can also manually change between move scale and rotate tools in the top left corner.
Hope this helps :)
Awesome work, but i do have a question. If i want to use Post Processing, how can i create a scene with a dynamic day/night change? But keep a scene likes yours, for a sunset or upcoming sun in the morning?
Thanks. The flare method shown here wouldn't work well for a dynamic scene, instead your best approach is to use volumetric lighting as it will change with the colour and angle of the directional light so as the sun sets the flare effect will fade out.
HDRP comes with volumetric lighting built in or you could use some free assets if you still want to use standard Unity.

Sketch thank you very much for your comment :D
Idk if you know how to fix this but if you do, please help... Whenever I paint in the trees I got from the naturemanufacture forest asset pack on a slope, the roots are above the ground on the downslope side.
The only way to fix this is to edit the tree models in some program and offset the transform so that in Unity when placing the tree it is placed lower in the ground and therefore removing the issue.
Here is a video of how to do it in Blender:

Hope this helps :)
Hi... I want to make a game of my own... but I don't have any game making knowledge... which course I suppose to learn ... Need your suggestion
What did you use for the water?
Water is from Unity's free environment pack. You can download it by navigating to Assets > Import Package > Environment.
Hope this helps :)
This tutorial is very useful especially for a beginner like me. Thank you so much! however, I downloaded all the assets you told yet I can't find the one with the grass if you could reply soon that would be great!
Thanks, I really appreciate it 😊. The grass is from Unity's environment pack which you can get by navigating to Assets > Import Package > Environment. Alternatively, you can download the standard assets pack from the asset store which has the environment pack among others in it.
Standard Assets:

Hope this helps
@@sketch3436 Thank you so much!
what version of unity is this? its not letting me open the project in 2019
i love you
i want graphics and assets like this but with snow , does anyone know something i can use?
what assets you use for the small river ? looks nice
Thanks. That's just the waterProDaytime asset from Unity's environment pack which is apart of their standard assets:

@@sketch3436 okay thank you ! :D
Can anyone help me out?Can anyone tell me how to get it in FPS mode? When i open unity hub i only get 3d and 3d with extra and the 2d mode. I dont get FPS mode.
Total environment Unity noob. That was FUN.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it :D
Just reading the read me. Am I supposed to replace the Assets folder with the #Follow Along Tutorial? Even then I do not seem to have the same folder structure as you do in the video and nothing shows up on my scene in terms of materials. Would love to do this as the end product is truly incredible. I would appreciate any help if you have time to point me in the right direction.
All you need to do is download and unzip the folder to anywhere on your computer. Then open Unity Hub and click the 'ADD' button, then locate the downloaded folder and select that. When loaded it will tell you if you have the right Unity version or not, it should work with any version 2019+ but to ensure you get no issue it is best to use the version used in the video.
Hope this helps :)
@@sketch3436 Thanks for that. I was being a bit dim. I thought that the follow along dir was the route. I double clicked .unity file and am now ready to go. Amazing work on this. I am a web dev but want to explore Unity for fun. Your level designs are very inspiring
yo dude pls help, I don't have the bloom dirt thingy where can I get it?
Yeah, the dirt effects no longer appears in the v2 of post processing. However, you can just search "bloom dirt texture" online and just take any of those images and it will work
Great work however I find the main sunlight is a bit to bright. Still amazing
I actually agree with you, whenever I look back at this video I wish I toned down the intensity of the flare. I guess I was just going through one of those phases where you overkill on bloom and light effects, haha.
Also, thanks it's awesome to hear that you like the overall scene :D
@@sketch3436 btw you are really awesome dude and the fact that you also shared your proj file, hope you get 50k+ subs real soon
@@arsil_ Thanks I really appreciate it 😊
where/which websites can I download assets, please?
which extension should i convert if from zip
For downloading the project all you need to do is unzip the file and open via the Unity hub 'ADD' button
How do you get textures.com textures into unity? I downloaded too but they are not showing up in my selection...
That's strange, I've never had any issues before. I usually download the texture and then drag and drop it into Unity. Some folders don't allow textures to be drag and dropped-in directly, maybe try in the asset folder section. Alternatively, create a folder on your desktop and place all the textures in there and then drag that whole folder into Unity.
Hope this helps
How did you create "Volume" in the hierarchy? Just an empty object?
I'm assuming you are referring to the post processing volume?
Cause if you are it is actually a component which you can add onto any gameObject. So, you would create a new empty gameObject and then go to add component and select post processing volume. Make sure the layer of the gameObject is set to the one you used in your post processing layer which is located on the scene camera.
Hope this helps.
@@sketch3436 Thanks a lot, Sketch!
Amazing tutorial! How do you zoom ao smoothly?
Thanks. Could you elaborate a bit more on what you mean by zoom ambient occlusion? Doing you mean like animate changing ao values?
@@sketch3436 Sorry, kkkk i mean "so". When you apply zoom, it's like a First person movement in game mode. How do you do that?
@@tiagografico1152 To do a smooth camera zoom you would alter the camera FOV overtime using Mathf.lerp:
