Austin tells James about his train ride with Paul McCartney where they discussed the legacy of Elvis, and James explains how his son was named after McCartney. Jeff Goldblum describes how he fell in love with Jazz as a kid. Then, Austin expands on how playing Elvis was initially terrifying, but also incredibly special.

He’s hot for sure. Dreamy.
Jeff's attentiveness during Austin's story is what is meant by being "present". ❤️
Considering he's talking about meeting a Beetle, it's a tad attention grabbing. In all fairness though Robert Downey Jr. does the same thing in interviews

He has just finished filming a movie about war and has already started shooting Dune 2. He will be the villain!
@@priscilajunger6276 Yeah, I heard that it was a war miniseries with his "Elvis" co-star Tom Hanks. It's supposed to be directed by Steven Speilberg. I could be wrong, though. As far as Dune 2 goes, I can't wait to see what his performance is going to be like.
I watched Elvis twice! First time on June 30th and again yesterday August 4th. Let me say… WOW I was super blown away! Austin Butler has been underrated to me for a while, I'm glad that he's getting the recognition he deserves
Underrated is when an actor does solid work at top level and doesn't get credit for it. This is just his first role at top level, if you don't count the Tarantino movie.
Doing supporting roles in teen comedies doesn't qualify you as underrated, it qualifies you as unrated.
Yeah before him playing Tex on once upon a time in Hollywood, I really just knew him as zoeys boyfriend in zoey 101, the dude who can’t sing with a one legged grandma in an episode of icarly, and a reoccurring extra in neds declassified. I’m sure he did more, that’s just literally all I know him for.

A star 🌟 is born. At last the well deserved light is on him. Austin has been acting since 13. Austin, is only 30 years old but he's been acting for 17 years, actually most of his life. He sounds like an old soul. He dosen't loose his flow at all. He's sweet & humble. I'm wishing this talented young man a lot of success & good health to never loose his composure. 🙏🏻
I think Austin’s humble nature comes from the fact that he’s a great “student”. He loves to observe things, he realizes in the moment how special some things are and just the way he listens to Jeff’s story says a lot. People haven’t seen this type of humble nature in a while especially in Hollywood so maybe that’s why people make fun of him 🤣

Damn he has a fantastic ear for accents. For a couple of seconds, there, he sounded just like Paul McCartney...like on the fly, just worked it into telling a story. Can't wait to see what he does in the future. Hoping he'll be the equivalent of a Meryl Streep for this generation. From his Nickelodeon/Carrie Diaries persona to Tex Watson to Elvis, he's already shown us quite a range.

That is the most handsome couch I’ve ever seen on TV! 😘😉. I was tearing up when Austin told his beautiful story of his interaction with Sir Paul McCartney on that Paris train ride, listening to the same song, that Elvis played on his jukebox at his place in front of The Beatles. It warms my heart that Priscilla and Lisa Marie are pleased with Austin’s performance of their beloved Elvis. My sister and I have got to take our mom to see this movie, because my parents were big Elvis fans. Before I end my long college dissertation of a comment of this video, I’ll share with all of you reading this comment this story. Back in 1973, Mom was 9 months pregnant with me. I know that Elvis performed at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel during the 1970’s (1972-1976). Mom wanted to see Elvis in concert in Vegas, but Daddy (RIP 😪🙏) didn’t go to Vegas to see Elvis’s show, because he’s afraid to be away from their obstetrician here in L.A., in case Mommy ended up delivering me in Vegas. So they stayed here in L.A., and I was born on October 7, 1973. Once or twice, my sister & I had “What if?”, conversations if our parents went to see Elvis’s show. Mommy ended giving birth to me at his show. Would Elvis serenade to me, after Mom gave birth to me(?). I do remember seeing Elvis’s tribute special hosted by his leading lady, Ann Margaret, after Elvis passed away in 1977.

@Nicole Everett - From what I can remember it was good. It was a long time ago. It was a made for TV movie from over 20 years ago, so Franco was much younger at the time.
@@dceplay I definitely want to watch it. I'm a James Dean and James Franco fan
Austin still has that Elvis voice lol I believe it's become a part of him
No Austin has HIS voice? His has changed over the years as he has aged. It’s a common thing for males to have happen to them. I have raised three sons and witnessed this.
@Lynn Shrader he didnt have this voice 3 years ago.
@@lynettebr Elvis’ voice changed 3 times over the years
@@lynettebr Voice training. All actors have voice training and it fundamentally changes the way the speak.
@@anadubar4819 Yes, even the muscles inside your mouth change. I don't know if he'll ever speak as he did 3 years ago. I hope not. LA accent...boring. All I see all over the internet is people going crazy for his voice.
There’s something so special in his eyes…..absolutely beautiful🥰
I admire this man so. much. he's so down to earth and humble, I LOVE HIM
I’ve watched this interview so many times and I still smile so hard my face hurts whenever Austin story tells. What a doll and beautiful soul!

Austin looks like he would be at home on Graham Norton. He's so relaxed and comfortable.
