Jake, have been keeping up with your channel & the thumbs up. The first of September, the business shift gears. The self-service slows down, to our commercial vendors. But, the best is a community just over in Alabama. Who helped with testing of our kiln with a load fresh cut dimensional lumber. So Carl's brother James & our #1 James are in Al. installing Version 2.0 of the Kiln & Colling down shed.
I really enjoy your videos. I’m sure you’ll get to 3000 subscribers and we’ll beyond. I’ve dropped a lot of trees in my 72 years, but never climbed. I enjoy watching a good climber work. At 6’ and 270 lbs climbing was never in the scheme of things for me lol!
I have been doing some SRT climbing with a RADs setup for fun, low and slow. Watching some of your dismantling videos, are you taking new customers in lower CT?
Very nice James! I’ve done SRT a few times, certainly helps with ascending up into the tree however I found it to be kind of a nuisance when trying move around and work the canopy. Where in CT are you, I cover most of Fairfield county.
That particular rope is 1/2”. I have various sizes (1/2”, 5/8”, 3/4”) and lengths. All of the ropes I use to pull with are retired rigging ropes so they have been cut to different lengths. That was sassafras that we chipped, super lightweight and burns fast!
Cool video. I like watching people climb and cutting trees to get them cleaned up. Have a Safe Day
Glad your enjoying this new topic of content David! Plenty more where that came from!

Question: what size and how long are the bull ropes you use for directing tree falls.
