Definitely the Mandarin....this inspired me to pot some citrus, I haven't added any to my garden because I didn't want big trees taking up too much space. I would love to try the blend in my garden!
@@infiniteadam7352 Glad we could help inspire you! 🙌 A dwarf citrus in a container would be ideal for you if you don't want them taking up too much space.

Finally, a video of an actual big citrus tree in a container. Thanks for the information and for showing us how it's done. There are so many citrus in container videos, and none of them show us anything close to these trees. Thanks
I love growing kumquats bc they make me feel like a successful gardener! Prolific, easy to grow in container, cold hardy, pretty in landscaping & year round fruiting. Delicious too. It was my gateway fruit tree and now I have 15 & counting.
That is incredible! Kumquats are a very attractive citrus to add, well done! (plus they smell, and taste delicious!) One time I said to Bob, "Why do you use so many kumquats, why don't you use Mandarin Oranges, which are a lot more popular to eat?" He answered "I don't want them to be eaten!" He likes the way they look on the tree.
I added your Blend to my Lime and Orange trees this year. I got a lot more foliage right away because i pruned too much at the beginning of year. I also had a nice boost in fruit production. But the trees look so much healthier now. I can see the results for myself now. Thank you!
@@JohnandBobs i am gowing mine in a pot as well. mine had 6. What would be the best season to fertilize it ? When i say fertilize, using Blend and some citrus organic fertilizer
For a long term container planting (5 years and more)use a minimal size of 15" wide & 18" deep and anything exceeding that size is great - really from the citrus standpoint, the bigger the better.
I love the delicious oro blanco grapefruit (along with navel oranges). I won't be growing these in a pot, but Blend would be the right boost for my in ground trees. Thanks for the great citrus advice.

@John & Bob's Smart Soil Solutions I loved the video and have always been a huge fan of your products. Where would you suggest to source the Murcott Mandarin Dwarf/semi dwarf's from ? any nurseries that you would recommend ? By the way whats the difference between the dwarf versus the semi-dwarf ?
I prefer dwarf because in a container, the smaller the better in terms of roots and plant size, but I usually use semi-dwarf because of availability and the semi-dwarf make a better initial statement in terms of immediate size. No difference in fruit quality or abundance. I find that Lowe's and Home Depot are good sources for these and other excellent mandarin varieties.

@Alec Brown I love Nagami Kumquats! Nothing better than being able to grow delicious, and handsome, fruit to share with others. Thanks for sharing 😊
@Alec Brown Those (Komquat) are a community tree, I see tons of people brings bags and pick for their families.

I just got a blood orange and my new growth the leaves are kind of Droopy and I was wondering how can I fix that
My favorite citrus is lemon. I love lemon flavored everything and would love to be able grow a lemon tree in a container in my zone 8 garden.
Meyer Lemons will grow great at your Zone 8 garden. Not as "lemony", but still a beautiful, useful fruit 😊
Thank you very much great information and for showing us how to do it the right way. Can you please tell me the size container you used on the video.
We're glad you found it useful! The nursery industry would call it a 20-25gallon size container.

I have a dwarf meyer lemon tree it's my first year and it already has 10 lemons!
Woo! 🙌🙌 Are you growing it in a container or in the ground?

Should I add sulfur to my potted citrus trees? How much granular sulfur to add?
Are the containers terra cotta or plastic. I love this video. I have planning to plant citrus in containers.
These happen to be concrete, but plastic and terra cotta could all be successfully used! Glad you liked the video :)
What size container would you suggest for Satsuma or Murcott?
