I'm sorry but if you specifically only have a problem with Mia's Vocaloid tuning when it's remastering the vocals of one of my older songs, I think you just got too used to my wonky untuned versions after listening to them for so long LOL... These changes were necessary. That vague "charm" some see in the old versions is probably just attachment, and that's ok. The vocals in Sidechain Fever & Supastar Tennis used a rough draft of my own before Mia redid them too, only difference is you never heard them before. I hope you all can give these remasters a fair chance 🙏 EDIT: To clear up a misunderstanding I've been seeing, Mia is a professional Vocaloid user, NOT the singer. The voice is still Cyber Diva, the same voicebank that was used in the beta version, only now being used by someone with more experience using the software.
There are a few moments in Mia's tuning mixes that made me clap my hand over my mouth at how neat they sounded. They did an amazing job really bringing out the vibe and emotions of each piece, for example whether Melodii feels bubbly or confrontational or more relaxed. And the little subtleties to the vocals are so tight and so professional. The mixes are going to take some time getting used to compared to the betas, yes, but I like them a lot.
Personally both the old and remaster vocals are great! I love how much more emotion Jam and Mel has here, but the old one also sounds so unique !! I love both versions tbh, keep up the great work Lj!!!

The new voices definitely sound more fluent and natural, but i definitely have a special place in my heart for the older voices, they sounded more vivid and like classic vocoloids
You know, the beta versions of the songs were already phenomenal. Now that the vocaloids have been fine-tuned like this, it's like they're good in a whole new dimension. It's fantastic!

I love this version a lot, it sounds a lot more natural and the tune and rythm are better made. Actually a joy I was able to experience this game with this version first, the older one is pretty rough around the edges (Still, I can see why people liked it though)
This might just be me, but I personally prefer the older versions of the demo songs. I'm not saying these remakes are bad, but the vocals really throw everything off for me. Before, they used to have that fun, goofy, low quality type of vocals, which gave it a ton of soul and personality. It's great to hear them nice and polished, but now it feels like the music has lost all of its amazing qualities that make it so much fun to listen to. (I don't mean for this to be taken as an insult, and I could never make something as good as this, this is just simply my personal opinion.) edit: This version is still great, just in my opinion, I prefer old version.
i honestly agree, jamtine has such a nice voice but i like the old mixes more it fits a lot more with the sidechain fever girl but that makes sense since we've never heard the old style of vocals with her
I love it! I keep coming back to listen to this and sidechain fever. The vocals for this are so cute and suit Jamtine super well! Keep up the incredible work.
I think I see why some people feel this song sonuds slightly off compared to the beta. The notes for the lyrics are held for longer than before, which also makes it sound slower. It's still the same song, but its as if the sung notes have been changed from 8th notes to quarter notes.
I for one think both versions are FANTASTIC! I can understand how most who played the original think that might be the better version, but you're already clouded by nostalgia.
It threw me off the first time but the second time I loved it! It really does sound much better, good job for changing it despite the original blowing up! I love Jamtine in Superstar Tennis too!
It's been a few days. I really appreciate how it doesn't sound as jank. It shows. I still honestly prefer the old version. I dont think you should chalk it up to "people are used to the old one." theres some lines that fall completely flat in this updated version that the old mixing really made work. Lines like "Man i dont know", "wondering if the bell will ring" and the infamous "I Wannaaaaaaa" just don't hit as hard and i think thats where most of the complaints are coming from. Im not sure if this the completed version but if you continue to update the mix i would say while its great you can understand the characters now, its a matter of losing the charm and personality the old beta version, dont be afraid to let the vocaloids pitch. Other than that, keep up the great work. You got a lot of talent. This song didn't blow up for no reason! (Ps. Was the tennis match ever uploaded here? I can't find a beta version on your page.
