This was my dream boat, but after Ferretti was sold to the Chinese, I just think of the boats off the coast of Taiwan that thing funds...and how our grandchildren won't be relaxing on a boat off the coast of Italy.

@@WOW-li4uj Anything that is not Chinese-owned for a start. Pretty easy. This is not rocket science. China is literally the enemy to the West, to Europe. They are the enemy. They have horribly evil intentions and they have in the past and continue to commit massive crimes against us. Don't give your enemy your money. It's that simple. If you want an Italian yacht there are plenty of Italian yachts to buy. I don't see a single reason to buy a Chinese yacht, and I know of very many massively, astoundingly important reasons not to buy from them. You can even get a yacht just like the Pershing made independently by many European companies if you ask...at approx the same price. And why on Earth would Europeans or Americans want to fund Chinese companies and support them in their competition _against_ European and American companies?
Call me crazy but anytime there is a dining table in the salon, it makes it a DINING ROOM! Princess figured it out!! Imagine laying around after a great day getting skin cancer and there’s the BIG table right in the way! Still, this would be great fun , eh? 😂 Jack, I hope you guys are able to do more Ferretti products in the future 🤞👍👍(I don’t imagine they let you test drive this one?) 😭
Serious piece of kit in term of performance an technology. However, the design is not at all cool in my view. For example, the steering wheel looks like from a Citroen AX from the 90‘s. The outside is overdesigned and the leather looks cheap, accommodations are not even close to a Princess or a Riva. Besides all this, it‘s a terrible gas guzzler and not up to date in terms of efficiency.
Bland, uninspired, styling, design, and decor; dungeon-like galley and crew quarters, cramped engine space; all Pershing traits. But, it's pretty fast. It can't go very far. But, it's quick for an eighty-footer.
Hmmm, I can see that this is appealing from the perspective of anything that large with the potential to move that quickly always is. However, I question the rationale of this existing at all. It surely has to be one of the most environmentally inconsiderate ways of moving across the surface of our planet and like it or not, we ALL have a responsibility to think about that - billionaires included. I can see no obvious consideration given to those responsibilities incorporated in this yacht - not even some solar panels to feed back into the grid when it's moored up. Yes its impressive, (if only in a one dimensional sense) but its time to face the challenges in front of us by supporting and investing in technology that mitigates our impact on the environment while still being able to enjoy ourselves - boats included. Personally, I wouldn't buy one of these even if I could afford to - it just seems wrong.
If you owned one of these and didn't want to drive it yourself and didn't want to drive it from the flybridge...you are..whathat British word...'a proper wanker'?
It is one of the most regrettable things how Ferretti Group (who owns Pershing among many other great yacht companies) was allowed to be sold to the Chinese. Who would buy a Chinese yacht and give massive support to the CCP in their evil deeds against us and others, and help them directly compete against European & American yacht companies? I don't understand how anyone except the Chinese can possibly do business with Ferretti Group after 2012? Such a huge shame, as Ferretti Group built so many amazing boats. Hopefully the key people resign from Ferretti Group and do their magic in newly founded or other European companies.
I had not heard it was sold to the Chinese. Ferretti Group must have the Three Stooges on their board of directors. That really turns me off about the Pershing line. I like the boat, but I see there could be huge logistic problems when something goes wrong, and you need parts, or a warranty claim honored. Especially if an American owns one of these boats. Very disappointing to hear this about Pershing.
@@kevinleukhardt9560 Like in so many countries, but especially in Italy, the Chinese have had clear strategies on how to get to the "owning class" and the mafiosos. Not to mention their overwhelming resources with which they can basically blackmail any industry/companies to either sell to them or then get destroyed.
@@kevinleukhardt9560 I just don't understand how this works long-term as their huge cash injections to invest in the company and over-invest more than the competition will work short-term, but I doubt they'll recoup much of that money really...they're just giving CCP leaders their toys from "their own company" and give them a short term "win" to present to the bosses. No mention of how much the "win" costs them...and when the burden hits what the Europeans will do when they can just form a new company or move to the other companies and push out better product than ever, without massive multi-hundred-million investment to burden their books. It could be that the Chinese are trying to do what South Koreans did to some industries and what the Chinese already did to solar panels and some other stuff: totally snuff out European industry so there's nothing left but Chinese...

Interesting boat, she is a fast boat, I'd like to see a test drive.
The owners decor choice, naw not my choice. They'll be an owner who will want . 😊
For the same price i.e. £4.5 million you could have a Riva 88' Folgore. A bit bigger, almost as fast, and Riva is a more prestige brand.
thats a fast machine

I wonder how many billionaires watch these videos to figure out what to get next
The exterior is beautiful! The interior is not much to look at and that one-spoke steering wheel on both helms is hideous.

The way this is edited made me feel lost.
I’m sure that Pershing will be devastated to hear that I would spend my zero pounds on this machine. Not for me. Sorry.
