  • Lie your baby on their tummy on a soft flat surface. Let their arms find their natural position. Turn their head to the restricted side and hold with one hand. The other hand can rest on their bottom to prevent movement. Your baby will not tolerate this for long, so little and often usually works well. This exercise will help to improve rotation in the neck, especially useful in cases of torticollis.

    Is this for left vs right side torticolis?

      If your baby has a tight left sternocleidomastoid muscle, the baby will look to the right, and vice versa. So do this with the baby facing the side that they DON’T like to look. I’d just do both sides, it’s just a stretch so no harm in doing both sides.
