Hi mama thank you so much for these tips my son is three months old n his head is always on the right side I will most definitely be doing these exercise with him every day. Thank you and God bless u n ur family
Hi 😃, I’m so glad that you’ll be doing the stretches- I saw a huge difference in my son after two weeks. Just be consistent and don’t forget to do lots of tummy time 👍🏽. Thanks for watching ! !
I know tummy time is important for the child to prepare them to start crawling. so they can move all there muscles. Great exercises thank you for sharing them!
Absolutely! However, there are situations in which in addition to tummy time kiddos need individualized exercises and stretches to improve their development. Baby Z was so tight on his right side that he was not rolling over in both directions and is now delayed in crawling. These exercises have helped him tremendously. Thanks for watch and always commenting :).
Glad to help. Just be consistent with the stretches and consistent when helping your child move both sides equally. When possible talk you your child’s pediatrician 👍🏽.
Hi my son is 4month old we r having PT appointment in next week.he is doing tummy time well and milestones r good.but he is having little flat head on his right side.may I Know how many months it took for your baby to get rid of torticollis?
I first noticed my son’s side preference at 2 months old. His torticollis was fully resolved by 11 months- but keep in mind that he was referred to at PT until he was around 4-5 months. The stretching really helped him! I hope your kiddo responds well to his treatment.
There is no exact “number” as it all depends on how tight your child is and how often you do these exercises. You should, however, be able to see an improvement within a month. Hope this helps!
Yes, adults can develop torticollis too. And after torticollis has resolved itself there is still a possibility that it can come back, therefor it is important to always stretch once in a while as a maintenance routine.
Hello doctor I have this problem I'm 19 years old I suffer from this problem and Idid a surgery but it didn't go very well please give me suggestions what to do please 🙏🙏🙏🙏
It depends on your child. I am not able to tell you how long it takes to resolve itself. But do follow up with a physical therapist if you are able to.
That reason I not consulting any pt session but mam pls replay it late for my son. But mam his all milestone are perfect not any issue and his neck also better and stright but some his head tile left side that thing I confused and worried about my son pls reply mam.
For my son it took four months of home stretches and exercises to help him strengthen his weak side. He was late to crawl and walk because of low muscle tone too. Your kiddo is 11 months, continue to monitor his gross motor milestones and be sure to tell your doctor any other red flags. Some examples are, hand dominance this young, delays in walking, difficulty in feeding himself, and any deformities of his head. I hope these things to look out for are helpful.
Bringing the child's knee to the head for the deep stretch doesn't necessarily mean they have to touch right ? It's just about facilitating a deep stretch up to what is comfortable/tolerable for the child...

Aww, consistent stretching will most likely be necessary. I am glad that he will be going to the doctors. Wishing him health and happiness 😘. My little guy was a little delayed I’m his gross motor development due to the torticollis. But I can seriously tell you that the stretching helped a lot in addition to physical therapy.
@@mightykiddos do you recommend to Take him my baby to therapy my pediatrician said yes but ive called 2 places and their extermely expensive my insurance doesnt cover it .. ive watched this video and not sure to just go with strechimg myself
@jenny Melgar it pediatrician advices physical therapist I would do as adviced. However, if it is too expensive I would try these stretches for at least 4 weeks everyday. If you don’t see any improvements, it would be best to contact a PT. And if you noticed that your baby falls behind on developmental milestones I would definitely get professional help. These stretches really helped my kiddo and he is now on track with his developmental milestones. Let me know if I can help you with anything else! Best of luck to your little one 🤞🏽😘.

Hey mama my God bless you 😢 for me it's works like magic
@chizon_king I’m glad it worked!
Should neck streching exercises need to be done in both sides? Or only in the affected side?
Yes, it is only necessary on the affected side 👍🏽.

for a mild to medium degree it takes 9-12 MONTHS of daily exercises according to our PT assessment.
The torso is so important. Can adults get this? I feel like one side is stronger.

Hi, I am not a doctor. I recommend you follow up with your medical team for individualized recommendations. Best of luck! !

How long time to continue treatment to correct torticollis perfectly
It depends on your child. I am not able to tell you how long it takes to resolve itself. But do follow up with a physical therapist if you are able to.
