99% of parents in Sri Lanka never say "I love you" to their children. Their love is in their hearts. Parents think that expressing love to children will spoil them.
Very wrong... I am a Gurati bohri born and bread in Srilanka... Sinhalese parents are amazing and they always express their love to their children... and the children are also cultured in taking blessings from their parents before they leave home...Maybe you are talking of the few uncultured parents in the cities... 🤫🤫
@@mansoorasgerally2828 Blessing someone and saying "I love you" are two different things. Yes they do bless you according to whatever religion they belong to all the time; before leaving home and even before going to sleep but they don't say "I love you". At most it could be a gentle pat on the head. Actually the city parents are the ones who say it most of the times.
I m Sri Lankan and we are blessed to born in this country. Coz Sri Lankan parents love their daughters and sons same way and unconditionally. Even they love their Grandchildren more than their own.
@@mrkslva4231 Ikr. yes it is unfortunate cos gender bias either way is wrong and our society is just brushing it off. As a srilankan girl I see many parents favouring their daughters over sons. My mil to be adores me too, 🤭
I am Sri Lankan, I most of the time I say my children "love you" my child. But not my parents but they did everything for their children as much as they can
Amazing.who ever said that thing about parents saying I love you to kids is definitely from the top middle class( high class you know Richie rich rich western kinda) family for sure.
Really ,Sri Lankan parents say I Love you ???? Guys my mom even tried to keep the iron on my butt whn I said I love you on Children's day because she thought I was taking her as a joke and treating her like a kid , I went to Sri Lanka after 4 years in Canada just for my vacation and that's how she treated me and the most emabarassing thing happened inside the airport whn I said bye mom and tried to hug her and then she said " Bye Bye only all the other girls of your age are even having kids but look at you ,I have to come to the airport to drop you like a baby" the security and the ground handling must have heard her and I didnt even look back until I sat on my seat in the flight .
Well I think Sri Lankan mother in laws are great and I think the “I love you” part is also true cuz growing up I’ve heard it (in our mother tongue mostly)😊
She is very good on stage. Just tackling couples she can get a lot of laughs. She is also attempting matchmaking Oh you have two sons. She has two daughters. You know what's coming next. She is less impressive on the podcast. Every indian immigrant family live the same issues. Their family is nothing special
Sri Lankan here, If we said I Love you the other party would think we are dying, or they're dying.. or that we need money.. (U won't get it). And for a good long time they'll be suspicious of U.. 😂 but I have to agree with the other comments.. Sri Lankan parents live their daughters over their sons 😂
Bull. Shit. WHoever said that must be the outlier. I having the nicest, over-protective parents any Sri Lankan son can have (and I'm the only child). Neither of them have said "I love you" ever in my 34 years on this Earth. They let their actions speak so I know they love me. But they'll never outright say it.
This is not comedy ,making money by making someone uncomfortable . People whoabout ugh about this, should ask themselves what the hell .feel sorry abot these people 😢

Her mother in law definitely is ok, SriLankan parents love daughters over sons. 😂 anyone’s daughter would be treated better than their own sons. 🤣
As a Sri Lankan boy, this is sadly relatable 😅
My elder sister was favoured by everyone over me.

@@StarlightUnderDaSea well that’s good for your future haha.
Trust me. In every single family I've seen, daughters were less favoured.
In Sri Lanka girls are loved more but definitely not preferred at birth but has much less freedom unless she decides to move far away from the family

This is not comedy ,making money by making someone uncomfortable . People whoabout ugh about this, should ask themselves what the hell .feel sorry abot these people 😢
It’s how stand up comedy works most of comedians interact with crowd if you uncomfortable you shouldn’t go
Time wasted
Is there even a real audience?
This is bullshit
If i were Zarna's MIL, i would never have liked these talks. Though it is for joke. I would never visit their house
maybe that’s what Zarna is trying to achieve 😂
😂😂😂🔥
