Hi Amanda and Felix!! It was great having you both visit us at CM chicken!! Just wanted to clarify that the sauce you refer to as spicy is actually our red hot sauce. It's our 🔥 sauce that is 3 chili's hot. The spicy sauce is a sweet spicy sauce that Koreans call yum yum sauce that's 1 chili hot..
AAHHHH!!! Lynn is my mom!!! This is crazy to see her like this! She talks about her job all the time and how much she loves it so it's great to see her be so proud! Thank you for shouting them out!
Thank you baby girl!! It's been so long since I've had a job and I am grateful for it!! I love and miss you so much baby!! I'm so proud of you and hope to see yoi soon!
I LOVE that you guys just randomly went into the Korean chicken place and they knew you and gave you the works! Honestly I hope you two are so proud of the identity you've created in Hawai'i food culture and know how special and awesome your content is 🥰❤️
We are definitely proud to be able to support all these amazing local businesses and more importantly meeting the locals behind it! So thankful to be able to spread the aloha! 🤙
Had the ahi katsu at Pupkea Grindz. Ahi katsu was cooked to perfection, not dry but moist! Loved their potato macaroni salad and their rice was not dry! Yummy!
Another great review and reveal!!! I have never been to the waipahu area to eat but this made me want to go! I think it’s cool how Korean food is opening up in variety on the island! The flavors sound intriguing. Plus, i love the blast of genuine Aloha you captured! The drinks you got were also more unique than the usual boba offerings! Bloopers were classic as well! Stay safe guys, both from covid and cars!!!👍🏿💕😀
That place is relatively new. Just built out that whole area about a year or so ago so haven’t tried yet but now I’ll have to check it out. Right down the street from my house.
Ohhh my gosh my ole stomping grounds and I didn't even know these gems existed....Cant wait to dig into that Chicken onion, calamari & shrimp dishes....all favs.....Mahalo's for the awesome post you two!...Epic!
Never seen potato mac salad, but it makes a lot of sense. Most popular deli salads with mayo in continental USA are Cole slaw, potato salad and macaroni salad. Never seen any of them combined, but I guess people can combine them by themselves.
Awesome finds. That onion chicken dish was kinda scary looking when Felix was adding the onions but after he added that sauce, it looked so good! All three places in one spot! Amazing!!
Aloha Amanda & Felix. So happy to see you both doing part of your video in your car again! Food looked great there and also in the CM Chicken place too. Those drinks looked really interesting and tasty. I would definitely be interested in seeing you both visit more of the restaurants in that area.
Aloha y'all. The first joint's grindz looked goodern' heck but man that CM Korean chicken joint with all that crispy chicken, sauces, and have mercy, the creamy onions that Felix chased the spicy chicken with. Totally onolicious grindz from both joints but CM Korean Chicken stood out for me. Y'all da bess and bombucha shakas and mahalo nui loa to y'all!
Ai yi yi. Ahi Katsu!!!! Guess I’ll miss out cause I would only cruise that side on the weekends….and Google says they’re closed. Boo 😢 But CM chicken sounds deelish!!! Thanks for the video 🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼💕💕🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
I love CM chicken- we live right by there. My favorite is shoyu - the plain one is good too. Also their daikon banchan is good too We’ll try PUPUKEA GRIND too… I wanna try the chow fun. ❤️
Aloha Foodie Ohana ...you two look so comfortable filming your vlog today !!! Very informative & yes Felix I saw your sour sop ! Love you guys ! Enjoy your onolicious drinks from Hangs !!!
That’s exactly how I found CM Chicken. I went to Pupukea Grill for their pastele stew (was WINNAHZ!) and I noticed CM Chicken. Their Spicy Chicken was BrokeDaMout!😛 And they’re like that for real. While waiting for my order, we were just talking story and cracking each other up!😆
I'm Korean. Adding curry powder to batter has been a quite general recipe for long time in Korea, but we don't call it 'curry chicken' because it simply doesn't sound yummy..curry chicken..haha. Probably the major difference for Korean chicken from other fried chickens is Korean fried chicken fry twice so the chicken is crisper. Oh and the size of chicken...Hawaii chicken looks like twice bigger than typical Korean chicken...oh my
Hi guys the Korean chicken restaurant was awesome, the fried chicken looked so crispy and delicious. I love onions as well so I’d love that chicken with onions. All the food you both eat makes me so hungry 😳🙈 lol
That's the strip mall where the original Highway Inn was located while they opened the Nimitz location and moved that restaurant down the road to replace a Chinese restaurant next to GoodYear Waipahu.
I used to go to Hangs all the time when I worked in downtown, I got the mango flavor it was always refreshing. The chicken and ahi katsu looked amazing!!
Pupukea Grindz is now on our must try list. The ahi katsu looked so good and I’m curious about the sauce. Thanks for showcasing all these local businesses 🌺♥️
Did you notice the Grand Opening sign in the CM Chicken store? That looked like one whole big raw onion, which is a whole lot of onion. It should cleanse your breath, by over-powering any bad breath. Someone once told me an onion a day, keeps the doctor away. I always felt that raw onion juice is anti-bacterial.
Waipahu got it going on. I feel sorry for tourists who stay in Waikiki and miss all the good food in towns like Waipahu and Wahiawa. They don’t know what they are missing.
My fiancé and I been waiting on this video to go up lol. That day we went to Hang’s for boba drinks and we last minute seen you guys on the corner by the sign and I yelled out “Felix and Amanda!!!” Not sure if you guys heard, but my fiancé threw a shaka out the window driving past by ☺️🤙🏽
I like C M Chicken. Loved the calamari. Love the pickled daikon. I sat right where Felix was 😃. When Amanda said that the spicy chicken packed a punch, that’s an understatement! It was Korean hot!! And the people there are so happy. It’s a feel good place.
@@AmandaFelixEats , I was there almost a year ago. I left a puny little yelp review, small but positive 😃… Puny compared to your wonderful review. These are good people. This is good food. I’m glad that it’s going well for them. Mahalo for your kind words.
Another request. Are there any restaurants making wet kine pipikaula that you know of? Used to be a small, hole-in-the-wall restaurant at Kekaulike St. & Hotel St. called Kamehameha Grill. They made the best opu stew and wet pipikaula. Mahalo.

Man,shoyu chicken is my fave. I feel sorry for those that go to HI and don't try it. I've only had that flavour in HI. Chinese soya chicken is not the same or as good IMO. I'm gonna make it in Canada using Hawaiian local auntie recipe. 😂
