Thank you for the mike jones reference 👏
WHO?!?!
I broke my neck when he said ts🤣🤣 i love me some hoge
Saying you’d rather have the McCaskey style of ownership is absolutely ridiculous. The McCaskey style is to allow mediocrity & wait too long for change. It’s also to hire the wrong people up top time after time after time
Jacobs and Barkley were the most expensive on the market. Swift has played well when the offensive line blocks it well. He was a solid pickup and should make even more impact once Poles (he better) selects top olineman in the upcoming draft
I'm down with #1 and one of the #2s on Oline.
Maybe a FA and the third too
The bears are one of the most attractive jobs. You got Caleb and a playoff roster and they have a very healthy salary cap. Also three top 40 picks. So the coach would be walking into the bears already able to make the moves he wants.
The worst contract the bears will have on the books next year will be Nate Davis’s. I hope poles and Warren are allowed to make the hire.
Agreed on keeping poles and warren through a next hire.
The 1-2-3 punch of Hoge going from questioning what poles has done, to saying it's the best roster for a potential new coach, to then saying he wants Belichick, who decimated the patriots roster in recent years with that extra personnel control, was a chef's kiss.
So you think "we got Caleb" is a selling point...hmm
@@jrhayes6901it is.
The Bears don't have a playoff roster especially the O and D lines !!
@@jrhayes6901 lol there's nothing to hmmmm about. That's literally the main selling point that sells itself. Unless of course you're a hater then you'll think otherwise.
The Bears were a proud franchise before I was born. Shanahan would be nice, obviously. I really can't see him leaving SF
Belicek and Caleb… Oil n water.
Fire Flus. Btw you guys have amazing wigs
I love how the media cries “fire flus!” And also bemoans the cycle of firing ahead coach at the end of a rookie year. Come back to reality guys!! You make the best decisions you can given the information you have at the time.
Eberflus is historic in his ability to blow games. But yea let’s keep him around.
Regarding skipping over Carter: He has similar temperment and focus issues as Stevenson. It's clear discipline is an issue especially mental errors and dumb penalties. I don't think we need another productive but problematic player on defense.
You wouldn't be saying that if the bears were top 3 defense in the league with a relentless pass rush. Sorry you just wouldn't. Plus if they hired a tough coach who demanded respect from his players or else then it wouldn't be an issue. We just have a fake accountability SHITS principle coach who talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk
AMAZING SHIRT
Hi is there possible that Shane would be available next year I heard he is on the hot seat
More players should’ve reacted in the locker room like KMet did. That locker should’ve been trashed and tore up!
Bears blew it not firing Eberflus in the offseason because there will be much more competition among NFL clubs. Last offseason, the Bears would have by far the most interesting team with a HC vacancy. Now, we have likely maybe Cowboys, Jets, maybe Giants, Saints, maybe Browns, maybe Raiders, maybe Jaguars, maybe Colts and then the Bears. Bears still might be interesting but they aren’t the clear favorite in this scenario
We should also consider Kevin Stefanski and Zac Taylor. Offensive coaches with good track records. Belichick and Vrabel run a 3-4 and would require changing the entire defense. Also, Belichick is not in this for the long haul. He's going to get the all time wins record and peace out.
Bears nation, how would we feel if pending how we finish, next year flus stays (which feels likely just cuz of how committed to flus poles is) but he is HC responsible for the all things defense…Brown gets retained as assistant HC but runs all things offense. Thoughts?
I see it as similar format to how ditka and buddy Ryan were. Not that we’ll have the same success…but the structure would resemble that
I was screaming at the TV when Tyrique Stevenson was pushing and shoving the Packers after they stopped Jordan Love on 4th down. The guy needs to be fined again!! I would consider trading him away!!!!!!
You know he’s great because he’s a dawg, so if you have an aggressive dawg, you have a leash. Who is the on-field leash? The captains. The leaders. We all have those friends who are a little more mouthy than the rest who at a bar someone may need to say, “hey, shut up.” The bears need a guy to do that for Tyrique.
Not saying I’m for it, but what are your thoughts on bringing Lincoln Riley in?
Bears will be lucky to win another game !
I kinda hope “THIS”
Brown help the O rest of the season, n the BEARS hire one top 3 Oc to be HC n maybe keep Brown as OC ?
Asking Warren to do things to be ahead of the curb when he himself is behind on his "stadium" project is something so Bears like. Isn't it Warrens "experience" with Jim H one of the reasons they did NOT consider hiring him, aside from the dating of the McCaskeys and his strong personality? The Bears have an organizational and culture problem and it starts with George. This organization hires folks that are in George's image character-wise, and as much as he denies involvement-evidence shows that he does have influence and final approval on hires. George is not the Papa Bear type but more like a sloth which reflects his hiring process and results. If I'm one of the top coaching candidates, aside from the QB, I would strongly consider ownership/organizational structure and the Bears does NOT have that as long as ownership remains the same and/or can't stop getting their paws in the cookie jar of hiring "football" related things. If Thomas Brown have more success, Flus will consider him a threat and I got a feeling this will cause unnecessary conflict of interest.
McCaskys are the problem !
Best ownership has to the eagles KC 49ers.
Can bears media do a deep dive into packers ownership? In reality they’re operated by the nfl.
How so
They’re publicly owned in essence
Are you alleging that the nfl is picking favorites to have the smallest sports market in the US have a winning team?
On field goals against, why is Jack Sanborn doing ?
You are dumb if you think that Santos is kicking the ball different because they moved the ball up 3 yards.
The special teams needs to do their job!
Tell that to Harbaugh
Respectfully, if flus wants a job come spring, he should be looking into candidates to replace him and a spot to land in. Help us transition into a winning team, or get booted from it.
Go Chargers! Let’s go Jim Harbaugh!
The hardest part about jumping from college to the pros is your network is almost non existent. Also landing has a buyout with Nike and thats why he hasn’t been poached by the sec yet. I don’t think the bears can stomach paying two coaching buyouts.
As an Oregon alumnus, Dan Lanning is the real deal. I think he could make the transition to the NFL.
There is a clear disconnect between what these two think Bill is in 2024 and what he actually is as a head coach.
Shane steichen would be great with a good DC. He schemes things open perfectly. He also had Herbert rolling quickly
Belichick???? Lanning????? STOP
Why doesn’t Gruden ever get mentioned?
10
Passing on Jalen Carter should be a huge stain on him. If his argument was they were worried about the character then why draft Stevenson in the same draft a round later?? Fire his ass man.
Wrong go pull up their stat comparison poles got atleast a starting level rt and Dexter whose better than Carter go look it up
@@mmatip123 this is just untrue if you look into advanced stats. Carter is a menace in the run while Dexter struggles. Carter 11th in win rate, Dexter is 20. By the way you could of had BOTH instead of Dexter and PIckens.
New owners would also help. Chicago owners don't share the passion of the fan bases.
Can you ask Hoge how it felt to have Olins hands around his throat, squeezing the life out of him?
Is there a lawn care sponsor on the back of that shirt?
Bears should really start to think about, research understand the sunk cost fallacy because they clearly don’t get it. 22:24
No way McCaskeys will bring in belichek
Who else needs teeth
An illegally blocked FG....
The Bears are far less attractive as a coaching spot than they indicate:
#1- The NFC North is loaded. For the next half decade, the division already has 2 likely SB Contenders. Going to the hardest Division in the league is usually a ticket towards getting fired.
#2- The Bears ownership and history is awful. Bad ownership is a huge red flag for coaches with option.
#3- Caleb could potentially be a bust or at minimum just meh
Caleb doesn't look like a bust at all.
The bears have a playoff roster with a young qb that looks like he’s well on his way being a top qb and their salary cap is amazing so they can go and get guys you want.
@Tetanoman Depends on your expectations. He'll never be a star or a Superstar. He won't be an out of the league in 3 years bust like Jamarcus Russell, but he'll be someone between Ryan Fitzpatrick and Baker Mayfield.
#1: I'd want a HC accepts the challenge of a hard division, someone with the competitive fire to handle the gauntlet and the media/fanbase.
#2: Ownership is a challenge everywhere (Jets, Cowboys, Panthers, etc.). A counterpoint is that the McCaskeys have been willing to spend money (Halas Hall upgrades, Arlington Park purchase) and have long-term steadiness. They're not owners who have a team because they weren't hugged as a child, but are in fact the Bears down to their core. While that does create blind spots, that's not something that exists everywhere.
#3: Caleb has already proven that he's talented and any coach should want to have a QB like him to lead the team.
The Bears also have a great cap position and draft picks to continue building a competitive roster.
I'd argue, however, that one downside to moving into a HC spot with the Bears is that as a 4-3 defense, you'd have to accept a bit of a transition to build a 3-4 defense if desired.
Didn’t see Dan Campbell refuse taking on a Lions team that was in shambles after Matt Patricia
Bb is name chasing he's mid without tb
What is there to be concerned about for Stevenson? He’s a punk and always will be. He’s probably another bad pick by Poles and won’t get a second contract from the Bears
Terrell Smith has NOT played better than Stevenson. No way. He’s soft and misses countless tackles. I don’t like how much Stevenson gets beat on 3rd downs. He should use more Bump n Run, but Smith keeps playing very soft.
Me personally, I’d switch Kyler Gordon for Stevenson. The Nickel is the best CB in this D, but I don’t like taking Gordon off the field that much in base D. Put him at SS in base. He can do it all. He really looked off against GB though.
The talking points of the Hail Mary hangover is such bullshit. What other bullshit narrative can you blame losing on that doesn't involve how terrible Caleb is playing.
I don’t care what anyone says…. Trade for Kevin Stefanski
Alright you can’t say Antonio Pierce hasn’t worked when he has absolutely no quarterback which is out of his control
Hoge must be carter's agent. He bash tyrique but wants Carter on this team. Make it make sense. I deleted chgo now this show. Sorry adam jahns.
So it's everyone "still not worried" that mR gEnErAtiOnAL has six games without a TD?
Anyone else noticing he very much has not been the "day one upgrade" and "transcendent talent" he was hyped up to be?
It's not reporters fault, no your fellow man, that you believed people saying he was generational. What does generational even mean? Like outside of Andrew luck, who was/is the last rookie QB to light the league on fire? Maybe use your own brain before getting mad at others use of theirs
@gotti70899 I didn't believe them. I knew Williams wasn't going to be anything special.
But the hype sold by these two, and every Chicago sports media figure refused to even entertain the idea that he'd be a disappointment. And now that he is underwhelming at best, they are just ignoring it
@@bk138gt6then you aren't listening properly or you're just mad to be mad. These 2, and plenty of others, are saying Caleb needs to do better.
Dexter has better stats and production stop it
Elon Musk needs to buy the Bears.
Gross
Put your red hat on and gtfo of here
When he would run them into the ground like the rest of his companies
They're already in the ground. He would bring them to the Superbowl.
@Harold-w2y in his cybertruck?
Matt Eberflus should start Bagent to win some games. He has nothing to lose, we know what Caleb will do, (lose)
Dumb take
Do you watch the games? Absolute idiotic take. Caleb has 2 GW drives this year making plays no other Bears QB has made and then it’s blown by incompetent coaching. How the fuck would Bagent be better
So Caleb was the one who kicked the ball? Stupid bandwagon uneducated Fake Bear fan. Problem is Coaching and GM.
@KennyJ093 stats don't lie, people do
@@garygwinn5818and Bagents stats are worse than Caleb's lol
