@@mariovomhof2775 damage inc has isolated bass available so it’s already been done, just not the intro because that’s like 15 different multi-tracks we don’t have
Because Cliff knew what he was doing and wrote the bass to tie the drums and guitars together. Unfortunately the producer handling the mix didn't know what he was doing.
Cliff is awesome as always. The bass sounds like an hammer in the head… the wah wah effect at 2.51 and 5.28 drive me crazy. Cliff has never missed the opportunity to prove to be a true genius. Love you Cliff
Nasty ass bass coming through, crystal clear too. Was trying to get through the play list before commenting but why wasn't this done originally? Thanks brother! Very much enjoyed!
as someone who lived, breathed and bled metal in the 80's (and even now), and a bass player as well, (Cliff is God), i can tell you i absolutely love this. better than the original. more garage band than overproduced mega studio. please make more. i'm replacing all my Metallica songs on my playlist with your versions.
Unfortunately, 80s thrash metal was all about the guitar riffs and drums…. Not so much bass. That’s what people liked to hear so that’s how the songs were produced and equalized
I hate how they almost always put the bass so far in the background in the mixing that you can't fucking hear it. It adds so much dynamics to songs. Let it be heard!!!
I honestly could have done with the vocals at their original levels and the rest of the changes the way you have them. you can hear the echo too well here and it detracts. for me anyway.
Surprisingly, I found it distracting. I don't believe twin guitars playing in sync should be drowned out by the bass. With NuMetal you can do whatever you want but old thrash was about guitars out front.
The problem with all these things are they sound disjointed. They weren't originally mixed this way. When you turn levels up in a mix you usually have to make adjustment s to other instruments. Can't seriously listen to it!
@@stevenlee1075 yeah this guy is clueless, he's probably one of those people who have listened to like 2 metallica songs and thinks they're an expert in everything about em.
We really need a bass enhanced version of the call of ktulu
Theres a youtube video of the entire Ride The Lightning album. with monster bass emhancement called Cliff The Lightning
There's no isolated bass track
@@CaptainRudy4021 that sucks. I also want damage inc bass only ä.
If only we could
@@mariovomhof2775 damage inc has isolated bass available so it’s already been done, just not the intro because that’s like 15 different multi-tracks we don’t have
Why all Metallica songs sound all so juicy with enhanced bass?

Because it's *BASS*
That's the power of bass
@@theapexsurvivor9538 You forgot to mention Lars also being a chode when it came to bass
wonder why
that's how it should be done from the beginning
Man, I love how people are able to do this sort of thing these days.
Sure man, we live in the right age.
had no idea there was wah fills in this song
I thought it was Kirk's guitar °•u•)
Theyre in F2B also
It is a Morley power fuzz wah!!!
It's cliff's bass, he scratch mute string with his nails + wah and disto
@@duke_of_destruction Morley power wah boost + electro -harmonix big muff ( or possibly Ibanez Tube screamer some say)
Oh good the little hammer ons in the main riff don’t sound like farts anymore
I didn't know there was another person who has the same opinion with me
WHAT?
Love this clear tone of bass.
Awesome! Love the bassline for Seek And Destroy. RIP Cliff
This is the way the official remaster should have sounded. Cliff still too quiet in the mix on the official remaster for my liking
BRUCE PROPHET that would be cause it’s a remaster and not a remix
Even worse was lack of Jason still in the remaster of Justice....lol
The bass sounds like little farts in the original song
Thank you sir! Keep them coming. Do all the best songs of the first three albums please.
Ian Ronde He's probably not a Newsted fan?
You deserve a Metal of honor sir for doing these. See what I did there?

This is very good, pefectly ecualized.
Surprised Lars hasn't sic'd his lawyers on this yet.:) Amazing mix! They way it should have been done.
sounds soooo much better like this, no comparison!

Cliff was just fuckin' ripping it!!!!
this should how rock songs sound like, bass enhanced.
I don't understand why the original could not have a louder bass, sounds much better like this...

best version for sure
Yup,these are great..nice job!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

damn the rhythm guitar need to be during the solo no idea why people like removing the rhythm guitar

Not bad, But needs to be Fuller the sound is very narrow
The vocals seem higher??
Can you enhance the bass on the live version Seek and destroy on Jump in the fire? It is in my deem the way best version ever of Seek and destroy.
Hetfield sucks live but I agree

Omg he did this to make them sound like a power trio u dummy
yes finally someone who knows atleast a little bit about mixing
Idiot. He did this just so you could finally hear what Cliff was playing. This isn't meant for casual listening
Shut up, Lars!
Metal just ain't metal without bass. Just sayin'.
I can't even listen to the original song. The bass sounds like little farts
recorded bass not the original

So the original bassline wasn't recorded back in '83? Wow, then how did Jason and Rob know what to play during live performances of this tune?
It is. You can even hear his wah dum dum
This is not Cliff 😒😕
it is, there's isolated bass tracks pulled from guitar hero metallica. look it up instead of just assuming.
Bruh. Yea it is smh. I have live recordings of him playing this exact bass line
