      @@carolfaulkner6896 I'm so glad Carol 🤓 I have two really nice designs I'll be doing a video for. One is hearts 🩷 easy to follow and looks like beaded crochet 😁 I really appreciate your encouragement. It means a lot to me. Big hugs from Nova Scotia 🤓

    Love this, Emma! I have watched how to do this but never tried it. I love using ropes with focals. I’ve been trying to finish a piece for myself for 2 years! Making gifts, memorial pieces, and repairs of old jewelry pieces for friends has pulled me away from it. I was using Russian spiral as my rope, which I love, but is very time consuming. This is beautiful, and looks like it is quicker. Thank you for sharing your incredible talent!

      It is super fast Sharon 🤓 I made a few Russian spiral but I felt it was loosey goosey 😜 Maybe I needed to practice more. I think the tubular chenille would work so well with focal pieces. Using all the same colour rope can really make it look like chain. I'm currently working on a heart one but will make a chain one using all gold beads. 🩷

    Hi Emma I'm so glad you mentioned the other way to do this stitch. I saw it and tried to copy that design and man did I mess up. It was way too confusing, going through all the beads. Lyour design is much easier. Thank you so much.

    By the way, as you mentioned, you can make flowers by using the same color as a base then use a different color to be petals ( while adding the 2 beads) then for the single bead next row use a color for the center of the flower (use a base color and petal color before and after the single center bead) and then again use petal colors for the 2 beads that end up right above the center bead on the next row. Best practice is use only base background beads for the entire rows above and below the flowers. Also in between flowers just use base color beads. If doing sets of 4 as you did here, you can alternate flowers to be in between the previous flowers and that creates a better spiral look instead of straight rows. If you need an example, let me know. 😊🎉

    Hi
    I started started trying to make wrap bracelets , could you share when I run out of thread in the middle of doing a bracelet how would you recommend I finish the thread and start with fresh thread.
    As well what cord would you recommend I use for wrap bracelets?
    Thank you so much for sharing. Just subscribed to your site.

      @@masterdunc1 Hi Duncan 🤓 Welcome to the channel. I have a playlist for leather wrap bracelets. There's a few that show how to add thread and others explain how to calculate the length of cord needed. Big hugs from Nova Scotia 🐿️

      Pretty good for the first time 🤓 I have look at some more videos to see how people start it 🤔

    • @susanroberts
      @susanroberts 26 днів тому

      @ if you follow beaders that learned from a school and not just watching videos, we were taught to never put knots in our work. Except for half hitch knots. Always start with leaving a 6 to 10 inches of thread at the beginning and use stop beads. Weaving in your threads with half hitch knots is always the way to closes your ends. I know you know this because when I started watching you that’s what you were doing. The knots are unsightly and/or they clog up your beads so you can’t get the needle through the bead 3 times. Especially when using crystals it’s a minimum 3 passes of thread. I love your channel. GGC TREASURES WITH GINA AND LUISA FROM MOON …. Sorry I just forgot the rest. 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ . I love listening to you speak. Makes me feel like I’m with family. You know I think you’re great! I’m not sure if I told you yet but the Doctors are putting me in a nursing home. I’m only just turned 63 on the first of this month. Just waiting for a bed to come available. My neurologist let me go 10 years without medication for my epilepsy and that has caused short term memory loss so I’m forgetting what I’m doing and do other stuff. They disconnected my stove bc I was afraid I’d forget and start making something. I have a friend that make me soups and puts them in the fridge freezer for me but I forget to take them out and I forget to eat very much they said. It’s frustrating. I know they’re not lying to me but it’s hard to accept sometimes. I have two cats. Maggie is a Himalayan she’s 9 and Oliver is all black and only 5 this coming summer. I need to find a home for them both. Oliver loves to play and cuddle in the evening. Maggie already had a different home before me. She was left alone a lot but now she’s very social and loves people and treats. Oliver is a Covid cat. If others come to visit he hides until it gets quiet again. He does come out when my friend and her husband come to help me. He likes Jim. He gives him treats so they both come out for him. I think it might take a couple weeks to adjust their schedule but if you know anyone that is looking for loving kitties please keep me in mind. This is killing me. Giving up all my possessions is easy compared to giving Maggie and Oliver up. I just want them to have good homes and I’m afraid if I don’t find them a home before a bed becomes available they will have no other option but to take them to the pound and that would break my heart like nothing else. I live in Brampton around the GTA. If you’re reading this and can help please answer. I will keep checking. Thank you. 💝🥰

      @ you used to go around twice with a stop bead and come back later to weave your ends in and attach a clasp. 💝💝💝🥰🤗
