Great episode, Gary. I'm enjoying learning more about the organized crime history of St. Louis, especially as it is a place that I visit occasionally. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Thank you so much Paulie. That’s music to my ears, telling somebody a mob story they had not heard before. Wait until next week, this story becomes a doozy.
@@GaryJenkinsMafiaDetective In no way bragging, but I've been a "mob aficionado" for well over a few decades now lol.. but I still always learn something new thanks to you, Gary. Which reminds me; I was very fortunate to grow up both here and in Italy. This allowed me to also learn the history and dynamics of the mob _back_ _home_ ... From the very beginnings to even current day, I've covered all of North to South... and why I am **finally** kicking off a channel of mine in coming weeks! Should you ever wanna hear some juicy stuff from the old country, or even back in the old days of the Bay Area (CA), I'd be more than honored to talk your ear off :) Salut & Cheers, Paulie
Giordano was born and raised in the old little Italy of St. Louis his sister married a Detroit gangster named Mike Trupiano and had a son named Matthew Mike Trupiano in Detroit
Don Anthony 'Tony G' Giordano declared indepedence from The KC Mob in 1960, & from then til 1980, he ruled St. Louis & managed to keep a very tenious peace in St. Louis *almost* 'til his dying breath. Unfortunately, it erupted as Gary describes, even moreso whenever Giordano was gone. Giordano was able to guarantee Horseshoe Jimmy's life so long as he was alive... But 'Don🙄' Matthew 'Mikey' Trupiano, as Gary says, was a do-nothing 'boss,' & you'll find out what happens to Jimmy in Episode #3. Nice one, Gary!👌🏼
I have lived in KC for 20 years now and grew up in south STL. I know or knew alot of these old guys and its interesting to hear this part of the story. Love your podcast.

Well we don’t but it could have been anybody.
Who killed Al Schnaar, 1946 or 47 approx? Why was he executed?
watching this makes me think Trump is right about the influx of migrants coming illegally across the border.
