Tired Eyes Slowly Burning was a random purchase I made one day back in late 80's... It was love at first sight. (well, first listen, anyway..) I had never heard anything like it before. It still gives me goosebumps today.
At that time, I discovered SP and Severed Heads maybe 2 years ago (in 1985), I saw the cover art and it was fascinating. In Germany at that time we could open the CD-case to read the booklet in the record store. I read "Produced by David Ogilvie" and then I bought the CD. At home, it was a mindblowing experience !! Like it was in 1981 with "Computerwelt" by Kraftwerk or "Technodelic" by YMO. It was sound/musical art from the future. Still one of my favourites, the Tear Garden-Album.
After being familiar with only the Skinny Puppy version of The Centre Bullet, a piece that I absolutely love, I must admit I feel the vocal in this version takes away from it.
Yep, plus 1st LP "Tired Eyes Slowly Burning" -- These two records I listened both looped for months. Random purchases influenced because I was yet a Skinny Puppy big fan, and wanted something different. A bit later, I've tried and have liked too many Legendary Pink Dots tracks...
Ow YES listening 2 this I still wanna take a Trip at 65, just checking the Departure time that's All !! 😅😅❤❤
