- What's your lie?
Warm glance and fake smile
Eyes meet, your mind runs wild
This game you play, I like in a way
You expect to grab a child,
You think I'm innocent, not wild
Take me, let's see how much I'm tamed
Never thought a little boy like me could
Ever know how to embrace your body
While, in turn, embrace your soul
I'll show you feelings
Pleasure, pain is in my control
Left your body laying there,
Red flesh, dripping of fear
Warm glance and fake smile,
Hatred rips through your insides
This game you play,
Intimidation each day
You think it's all a lie
They wanted to destroy our lives
Anger twisted your life into pain
I wish I could take control
I wish I could let go
I wish I could break this mold
Inside I'm so fucking cold
I'm cumming,
I'm cumming,
I'm cumming on you...
Warm glance and fake smile
Eyes meet, your mind runs wild
This game we play,
I like in a way
You expect to grab a child
You think I'm innocent, not wild
Take me, let's see how much I'm tamed
Never thought a little boy like me could
Ever know how to embrace your body
While, in turn, embrace your soul
So I'll show you feelings
Pleasure, pain is in my control
Left your body laying there,
Red flesh, dripping of fear
I wish I could lose control
I wish I could let go
I wish I could let go
I wish I could break this mold
Inside I'm so fucking cold
Wipe this aside so the truth unfolds
I am done
That was so fun
This was real
How did it feel...
...it feel when,
I was cumming,
I was cumming,
I was cumming on you?
I'm cumming,
I'm cumming,
I'm cumming on you!
This song is about betrayal of friendship and how the whole "I'm cuming on you" part was a metaphor for being "fucked over," only he took the metaphor to a much grittier more sexually sadistic extreme. Him shouting that at the end is like the betraying friend shouting it to him.
Man, i wish they still recorded like this. Raw snare sound. Guitars and bass sound so good. Feels like watching a band live not over produced music like now.
that snare fucking made korn
yes it's distinct, (and missed) but made, I dunno
I agree, it's fucking spine tingling. The production on that first album...wow.
***** David is badass.
That's what was sorely missing from their sound later on. It helped make them sound like an actual live band instead of an over produced studio group.
Brett Bewley exactly. I enjoy their later stuff but that edge they had with their first two albums was gone because of that.
This is an interview of Jonathan in 2010: "That was good! Sean Olson used to work for us. He was my tweaker buddy. He was just this funny ass character. The intro of the song is "What's your lie?" He would always come up to me and say, "What's your lie?" [Laughs] He hung out with us for a while. It's hard going back and trying to remember what I was actually thinking at that time, but I know it was about Sean and I delving into that meth-induced, dark place. It really came out in that song."
As a man named Sean olsen I approve of this message
🤘
Did John .. . come on you yet🤔??
Hell yeah!
I’m cummin im cummin I’m cummin an yo!!!!
As a man not named Sean Olsen I concur!
I love that old Korn sound, there's just something about it that makes it so awesome.
It was set apart from all others. Pioneers Bro.
@@LTzEz03z Yeah, definitly.
Its the depriatvity of the lyrics and the desperation in Jon's vocals
the guitar tone and the drum sound is so unique an different from the other albums
It's not a sound that's easily described.
To clarify things: Sean Olson is not a "character" nor a "jock who became friends with Jon". Sean Olson is a close friend of the band, since the early years. If you look at the credits and "thanks to:" from the ST album, you'll find Sean Olson there.
This shit is absolute legendary. We need another band like this. A vocalists who truly puts his soul into it. Nothing beats this at this point JD is a legend but we can't expect this from him anymore. He did his time. He is a pioneer.
I am putting a band together I think you will very much enjoy. I'll keep you posted.

Try coal chamber
Jonathan Davis, you will always be my hero!
This song is soo underrated!
I knoww its so good
Big shout outs to I know what you did last summer soundtrack for this track and introducing me to KoRn when I was 11 years old. Good times!
Totally agree
@@cherrybomb5551 i see you everywhere man xD
@@joshuaromero8993 Lol
The most raw, darkest, and heaviest form of Korn. This is timeless.
Just once I wish they'd make something new that emits similarly this slow heavy gloomy vibe.
The rage only lasts so long.
I don't think they want to revisit meth addiction.
@@javrak or being molested.
They quit drugs, so...I find it pretty difficult. Just as Javrak said.
@javrak understanable. If THAT was what it took for them to have made this, then nvm.
Korn is a fucking good band! This song and "Daddy" is from another world...
I would put Ass Itch, Kill You, and Hemet in the Bush in my top songs as well.
@@LTzEz03z the drums on kill you especially the last section are sublime!!!!
@@bareloots9488 David Silvera has that groove & feel that each Korn song needs.
This drummer always did kick ass
Silveria is the OG. Luzier is ok but Korn definitely lost this type of groove when he left
@@andrewz58 for real everyone says they fell off cause head left but theyll never be the same without silveria. him and abe from deftones are super underrated and both a huge part of their bands sound
That guitar sound is their own...no other band plays like that
What about Girls Aloud?
@@jehanariyaratnam2874 idk man…I ain’t into that kinda music, to each his own
Well, technically no one played like that before KoRn released their 1993 demo then many bands were inspired by them...bands like Slaves On Dope, Staind, 40 Below Summer, Taproot, Soulfly, Mudvayne, and Limp Bizkit were all inspired by KoRn.
@@leadme2thebliss21 forgot slipknot
20 years later...this remains my favorite Korn song of all time
John Michael really fucked up cuz im 31, been listening since i was 13, and this is the first fuckin time im hearing it. very mad at myself rn
like i love Korn. heard Camel Song and Queen of the Damned originals, and everything else, but never this song wtf. 17yrs ived loved them, minus the dubstep shit. and ive never heard this?? shiiiiit
Dude same! Not too many of us I feel
That soundtrack was ridiculous. Not the first time I listened to Korn, but his song, Deftones Teething, Jurrasitol by Filter and Boogieman from White Zombie were all the badest and some of the most underrated songs from those bands.
@@jacobboone7453 Camel song kicks
This song is so raw!!! This and some others are the reason KoRn is, and will remain a part of my life forever. It's so crazy this song wasn't on there first album.
It was on the shoots and ladders promo djcd single
Camel song
yeah would have made a perfect hidden track
Their whole first album was mind blowing
It was on the soundtrack of "The Crow"
As much as I love korn's new stuff I sometimes wished they would've stuck with the dark and gloomy vibe of their older music
The way Korn. Should have stayed DARK!
Jerry Bouvette agreed! This is far darker than anything in recent history that they’ve done for sure. Just the sound alone has this dark, evil vibe!
no, they're still the best. And they're still dark, just a different kind of dark.
@@lochlord wack dark
@@denisn8336 Yeah they are lame now

Some of the darker lyrics from Korn and that's saying allot
Their bass just kills :D
man i love his eyebrow ring
Leonardo DiCaprio he has three rings on his eyeb
I truly love them too
Jonathan actually made them look cool unlike the rest of the world
This is a sad song. The man must have been in a very dark place.
He was molested as a child, and worked as a coroner's assistant for awhile, so yeah....
This song was about a friend who passed away, so a lot of pain here
I wish Korn would re-release the first album with this song on it
I wish they would remaster the first four albums and add ALL the b sides from the eras on them. Some of the stuff is hard to find.
@@dereklong3977 If they remastered the first album I wouldn't expect much to be different. Hard to better something that's already perfect.
This and Layla
@@Livinglegend621 yes!!
This is honestly one of their best songs
Im confused, why cant i find it on Spotify?
@@lazynoodle_4881 it was never released it didn't make it as part of the first album
It so should have. It's brilliant.
Even though this track appears on _The Crow: City of Angels_ soundtrack, this is a B-side left over from both the 1994 Debut (_KoRn_) and the original _KoRn_ EP, both produced by the king of nü-metal himself, Ross Robinson.
"What's your lie?"
Shame they didn't put it on the album.
Actually didn't know that. Loved this song on the City of Angels soundtrack. Would have rather had this than Helmet in the Bush on the S/T. The song is named after a friend of theirs right? Also if I remember correctly this was only played once or twice on tour.
Ross Robinson also produce Vanilla Ice!!!!!...awesome...
they played this for the first time like 2 years ago at a concert. It was for the 20th anniversary of the self titled debut album. Idk if you knew this but it's something factual about the song.
If Korn would have just stuck with this sound and not chased radio hits later on in their career, I'd still be happy to call them my favorite band today. So unique and ahead of its time.
I love old Korn I was a fan in 94, but with that said I have to acknowledge that I dislike Godsmack and disturbed beyond their first albums because it sounds recycled beyond that to me. The music has to evolve.
I agree
@@shhimbusy7616
Check out Godsmack's songs Bulletproof and When Legends Rise. Sounds nothing like their old stuff in my opinion (that is, I'm comparing those songs with Voodoo, Awake, and I Stand Alone)
But you have to keep one thing in mind when talking about metal..... and that is the physical lifetime of a metal musician. We all get old, some faster than others. Doing thjs shit every night takes a toll on your body, and the dark shit takes a toll on you mentally as well as physically. They got old, then they got sober, and now they ride around the country playing a set list comprised of the last 20 yrs. I loved Korn in the 90s and EARLY 2000s... I still own the first 4 albums, and a few ep singles bc that shit molded an entire generation of metal musicians.. and they've managed to mold a completely different generation with their "sold out sound" from 2005-present. I'm not mad at em, I still have massive amounts of respect for every one of those dudes.
@@failuretoappearband4971 I have a comment on I stand alone lol. That song is sick
2021 and still rocking this shit!
Same as, mate. Such a great track. 🤘🏻

This should have been on the first record.
Fieldy is a beast on the bass!!!
Drums are so sick. Dave was so damn nice on the drums.
Love it!
The "Old School" Voice
I love how people ask me about my favorite KoRn song and then I pick this one up, and they don't know what the hell am I talking about. Seasonists...
They probably only know bullshits like Got the life or Coming undone...
It's almost like it's a rare outtake and not everyone goes out of their way to listen to demos lmfao
@@trentdavis1768 Got the life is a banger. My favorite korn song without a doubt.
This is my second favorite, but it's no My Gift To You. That intro still gives me chills, and the "I hate you!" bridge/breakdown is incredible.
I definitely know about this song, and everything else they have ever released. All KoRn fans are different, some are into the band more than others. I can tell you all their names, including their middle names and nicknames, but I wouldn't expect every KoRn fan to know all of their names. Hell, a lot of them think Munky's name is spelled "Monkey".
What a masterpiece.
That guitar riff is crazy with John Davis voice out of this world love you guys would love to see you live
Still a SICK B-side, LOVE old Korn!!!
Sounds like a heavy version to Porno Creep
Porno Creep segues into this rather well, a la "Twist/Chi"
Lonny J Dunn Jr dood right!?
This is absolutely my new favorite KoRn song. I knew this song existed, and listened to it before, but it never hit me how good it is until today. It captures the spirit of They're first album so perfectly. My absolute favorite contribution to music history is this era of KoRn.
I wish they still played like this
Bands need to evolve. They get older and shit changes... its part of life. enjoy it all for what it brings.
@@magneteye yeah don't get me wrong I still like there new stuff too..
I remember hearing this song for the first time in The Crow: City of Angels and it still has a chokehold on me to this day
Best of the self titled and Life Is Peachy era. Shit was so raw, heavy and emotional!
One of my favorite songs by Korn to this day.
Brutal
The intro reminds me of Coal Chamber "Loco"
Other way around...
@@ThePilate30 no I'm not. This song came out in 1996. Loco in 1997
I know, Coal Chamber sounds like this. The way you worded it sounds like Korn copied coal chamber

one of the best korn songs...so good.
fabulous cover shot, really!
All Korn fans have a little Korn in us.
I still can't over the fact that korn was on the show Monk more than once. Makes me laugh every time.
I remember hearing about this song and noy finding it for ages, until it popped up on Napster one day I'm about 99 or so. This one and Proud plus session tracks from FTL and the XMAS song, and maybe some others that were still rare at the time. It was like having a new korn album! Although to get half a dozen or so 5mb songs took about the next six years to download on a 64k modem, it was still so cool and worth it.
Ahhh the days of Napster and Bear Share.
At the time I was 16 years old and had never heard guitars sound this evil before..
This song was one of my favorites! This one and predictable
Ultimately, my favorite song from KoRn!
Props to Ross Robinson!
I remember this song from the brother bear 2 soundtrack.
Itd be so obnoxious to hear this there lol
LessIsMorphine what are you talking about?
😂
I remember that part. When Koda is pissed off from Kenai betraying him and has all these pissed off parts and this plays. I remember that.
No. This is very true.
Silveria and Fieldy really bounce off each other in the older songs, it's crazy how much I miss that sound. It's like an engine full of metallic parts. To this day nothing sounds more 'heavy' than this.
Korn fucking rocks, Not so much their new shit but they're still in my top 10 favorite bands. The 90s rocked.
Nihil 666 Agreed. I'm in my 30's and I still listen to the 90's. Today's music just doesn't do much to me. I'm going to meet the band before they perform their first album at a local small venue in October. Can't wait to see them live and meet the guys. I've never seen them live but have been listening to them for 20+ years.
the fillmore?
the fillmore?
+Masternunu Suppose we're just stuck in the 90s? I for one don't mind... Besides a few bands i like like Bloc Party, Arctic Monkeys...and some electronica... i can't find bands i really like. I'm English so naturally i was more in brit-pop like Blur and Oasis and Radiohead in the 90s; but Korns first two - three albums were cool. And Pantera, Nirvana and Tool... definitely better times.
+Nihil 666 Right?! 90s music rocked. (said every generation ever, but whatever)
I printed this image out in high school and slid it in my white binder with my perfect Jonathan Davis drawing I drew with burnt edges and ace of spades playing card... So crazy... I wish I would have kept everything.

when i went to a korn concert back in '09 i was front row rocking the fuck out with the Bassist and he was just zoning and when he was done the song. he threw up the rock hand and threw me his Bass Pick. im gonna put it to good use real soon!
Wait, what? You sure it was Korn? Fieldy plucks and slaps, I don't think he uses a pick...
..Anymore, because you stole his only pick xD
No picks EVER from Korn bass yo. EVER
It blows me away that they didn't include this on their actual album and used it for a soundtrack instead

Wow lol
This was Korn...the way they were meant to always sound...
dont understand why they cut out like half of the album
Probably because they were limited by length. They had to fit in something stupid like a cassette or an audio CD.
parasti0 right
Almost every one of thier albums has a few more songs that were cut sometimes those songs are better than some on the actual album
This is years old but they didn’t really cut half. The only b side songs were Layla, This broken soul, alive (kinda since it became need to and idk if it was even recored for self titled) Sean Olsen, Christmas song and an early my gift to you.
