This song really means something when you preserve a relationship even tho the other person doesn't actually love you and/or they love someone else but your so in love with them that you just cant leave so you keep pretending everythings okay and they keep pretending they love you even though you know deep down its all fake. But it also describes how illogical and naive can blind love make us. I mean we give money to the shopkeeper and he gives us the stock we need but why give our feelings to someone who doesn't reciprocate. With age, fortunate people learn the art of letting go and moving ahead. It is better to love a person who loves you even if he/she is not that handsome/beautiful than a physically beautiful person without love for you. Personally I have confessed to a few people who rejected me at first, it hurt painfully, shed some tears, moved on, climbing the ladder of life only to see those same people wanting to give them another chance.
Golden fact : for ordinary middle class men with not so exceptional genetics, 18 to 27 or even 30 is the hardest time with regard to everything, love, money, opportunities. But once settled in life, it gets very easy given that what you learnt in those 20s of urs...

i had a crush since childhood okay? he and i are the same age, our families are best friends, almost family, so we used to see eachother a lot back then. I remember when we were like 7-8 years old when he told me that he "liked me alot" me of course being a girl just brushed it off as if nothing happened. I just said "uhhh okayyy???" right then and there I knew I had a crush on him. FOR YEARS I only thought of him. We weren't exact friends since we were both from a religious household which meant no boyfriends/male friends. since are both introverts we didn't talk at eachother that much. but since his family and my family were always together I knew what he was like. he. was. PERFECT!
But as we grew older I realized that we gew more and more apart. He usually never leaves his room and I never went into his alone since, as I already said before, that would be weird. He always had that blank expression to his face, I guess bc he was irritadet that he couldm't be left alone when me and his cousins came to visit lol. he would always shout at them to get out, but never me. Yea I know it might be bc he was just polite to me but still, at that time it felt special.
now he only shouted at me once! (long story why) but I KID YOU NOT weeks after that we were alone and...he actually apologized for it. I was so shocked, relieved, confused. so many emotions as to why. Then it clicked.....does he like me back???
