    I owned a million dollar trucking company and had shops to work on the trucks and equipment but STILL customers would find me in the shop getting dirty because I started out with nothing and while I coulda Sat in the office and smoked stogies all day I wasn't geared (pun) like that..

      Also you really don't know how your business is doing employee wise if you don't get out and work for them. When I worked in shops as an ASE Master technician seeing the owner jump in even if it was just to pump out some tires or oil changes was great for morale. It's what being a leader is vs a boss. Glad you did that at your company.

      @@Self.reliant I also started out new customers so I could get an idea what we could do to best serve them.. bent wrenches, fabbed parts, rebuilt motors, rear ends, transmissions, built one of the shops, booked freight.. worked with my farmer customers, drove beet, grain and barley trucks, whatever was needed

      My best managers and owners were always helping and were experts at everything. That way they had the respect of their employees who saw they knew what was going on and were approachable and worked just as hard as them. They weren't fat cats setting in an office all the time.

      Thats all small business thinking. Nothing wrong with that, but you'll always stay small. I've had the luck of being able to see inside some larger operations, and the big guys that make 10s of millions are definitely no longer involved at this level. Again, nothing wrong with involvement, but it trashes all your time and energy that could otherwise be used to continue growth.

    Brandon it's because she is purely focused on deals and making money. Not the trivial day to day bs like routine maintenance etc. I understand being hands on since there is no promise to find someone fantastic at doing repairs without the possibility of going through several business' to find the good match for you.

    I don't see anything wrong with getting your hands dirty--especially, if you like to do that sort of thing. I get where you're coming from, but always remember that it was the quarters that got you where you are and it's still fun to pick up a quarter when you can. I guess it all depends on where you are in life too--you're a younger man than I am and more ambitious in your stage of life. Me, not so much. Not that I''m rich--I'm not but I'm not hankering to be either, however, I'll be there to pick up those quarters you leave behind.

    I actually watched her too. A gentleman and I were having a discussion concerning Chik Fil A, and my comment to him kept getting deleted so we could never finish our conversation. That’s when I was told that my comment was on the opposite side of her views. At that point I realized her content was more for views, and not accuracy. I watch content that gives me pros and cons because that’s the only way I can grow.
    Note: I subscribed to both channels at first. Now only subscribed to this one.

      What was the chickfila concern?
      We tried to get one.... The process is.... Next to impossible

    • @CS-qc7np
      @CS-qc7np Рік тому

      @@InvestmentJoy Yes. It is a very hard process. A friend sold their Lenny’s Sub Shops to become a Chik Fil A owner. However, she stated that being an owner under Chik Fil A is completely different from other franchises. At Chic Fil A, you are an operator. You cannot sell the business you help create. You have to work in the business, and receive a operator’s salary, but the business is retained by Chik Fil A corporate. So, due to this concept, you don’t have any equity or upside except for your operator salary which I think (not sure) is about $200,000 a year. The gentleman and I was trying to determine if this business structure runs against what we think of as an entrepreneur’s mindset.
      I have been trying to catch up on your videos. Great videos, great content!

    I've been a Codie Sanchez fan for quite some time as well as a fan of yours. However, connecting with Grant Cardone may not be the wisest thing to do. He's fishing in different waters with a different kind of bait. Don't ruin your brand.

    I am glad you are getting out of the low paying things, like low end rentals, and getting into higher margin things. I know you want to help them, but you have learned, they will take advantage of you.

    Ok, so you keep getting bigger, at what point is enough enough? Whether you have 60 million or 2 billion, does food taste different? Does your car run better? Does your house act anymore like a home?
    When you are comfortable and enjoy what you do, then that's what I would say is satisfaction.
