I am willing to work with Lagos state regarding these issues. In fact, Lagos state will generate money from my ideas. However, these folks are not willing to listen to our ideas. The flooding issue can be resolved easily. I wrote a project a couple of years ago regarding infrastructure and drainages. I asked someone to give it to then governor Fashola. I believe it didn't get to him because nothing was implemented. It's possible to resolve these issues.

When Nigeria starts carrying out full package projects consistently, we wouldn't suffer all these issues. When budget is raised for roads and all supporting infrastructure such as covered drainage with standard depth, side walk and so on, they would just slap the ground with substandard asphalt, no drainage no side walks, nothing and they call it project when the full money was budgeted. We are suffering the consequences of this stupidity. Every state in Nigeria has a plan and I mean a world class plan that rivals the world power nations but the government does not follow/enforce the plan because some people want to keep pinching the budget like litttle children that can't resist pinching on the bread their mother bought for breakfast that is why Nigeria is like a big village.

The issue began with the government not enforcing the plan then fraudsters masked as agents and environmental agents took advantage of the government's slumber. The funny thing is that they decided to wake up starting with specific areas occupied by certain demographic after travelling several miles away from areas where the main problems lay.

Aside all your interventions, I think what is causing the flood in Lagos is Lagos state government greediness ot resources and wealth. How can a 4000sqf of land house 22 million people? Maybe it is time for Lagos state to move some of its establishments to other south west states like Ibadan in Oyo state and Abeokuta in Ogun state. This I believe will decongest Lagos state. Maybe when the population in Lagos reach 40million people then you people will understand the damage the government is causing to the state.

What is the state of the available drainages... They are mostly filled with dirts that becomes very obvious during the dry season... A serious government will have a yearly project to ensure drainages are cleared during dry seasons and put enforcement in place to purnish people who throw dirts in our drainages... And not keep speaking english after these unfortunate events that have become a yearly occurence...

Mr commissioner, pls with due respect you stop measuring Nigeria 🇳🇬, with western world as regards to flooding. These people have gone a long way decades ago with strong dirk that pushed flash flooding as soon as possible whenever there's rain disaster. And not demolition of the peoples homes if even that's done an alternative is provided and not leaving the poor masses homeless. Climate change has come to stay and mind you lands are being reclaimed world wide with houses built-in. How many houses will you demolish? With the excess of obstructing the fash flooding. Besides, what was your government to help those in immediate danger like every reasonable government dose world wide?

Lagos is poorly planned and developed. The Lagos governor, commissioners are grossly incompetent. They built houses, buildings, bole-holes everywhere without drainage systems. Lagos is surrounded by oceans, rivers, lakes. Whenever it rains, the entire metro Lagos will be under water. In the United States, the city will make sure that there is a drainage system in place. Before the developer will start building the houses. There will not be anything like destroying peoples properties. DO NOT BUY ANY PROPERTY IN LAGOS or ABUJA! DO WILL DESTROY YOUR PROPERTY!
