What an awesome video!!! Thanks for all the detailed instruction for this fabulous machine! I've had mine for over a year and have been to intimidated to set up the sensor pen. Easy peasy now!! Also was intimidated by updates. Not anymore!
What an awesome and very detailed video. I have the Flourish 2 and am looking to upgrade. I really like the features the Pathfinder has. Thank you for a very detailed video.
Hi Pat, Thank you very much for this very informative tutorial. I learned a lot about the machine. You answered every question I had.I just received my Pathfinder yesterday.
This is a great video and I love how you take time to explain all the features. You are so very thorough in explaining all the features. I just checked and I do need the update. Can you use the 8 x 12 magnetic frame with this machine? Wish I was closer to your store!! Thank you so much and so glad I found this!
What a great video. Thank you for going so in-depth on this machine. I learned a lot from you. I have the brother VE2300 and I believe it’s the same machine as your baby lock. Just got the machine. Now I know what all the buttons are for. I do have a question on the color sort. The little monkey you did. Does the machine automatically color sort or is there a button you need to push for it to do this step? Also when your finished with that color sort it goes to the next color to embroidery? If that color only has one color it stitches that out and goes on to the next color? If the next color has multiple colors on the item it will color sort to embroidery that color? I want to make sure I understand the process of how it works. What a great feature. Again thank you again for such a great instructional on this machine. 😀
2 questions, the pathfinder manuel says to use 90 wt bobbin thread? you said use 60 wt? The manuel and the machine says to always hit the icon on the screen that looks like embroidery arm, before taking the arm off, you didn't do that? Thanks for clarification on these issues.
Hi Mary! When you select the pocket icon, you are given options for how you would like to save your embroidery design. This Pocket feature is used to save the embroidery design you created or are working on. Hope this helps!
Excellent on all points. I purchased the Pathfinder 3 years ago but have had limited time to use it until recently. My primary question is where can one purchase the optional hoops from an online vendor, especially the 6"x6" and 1" x 2 1/2" ? I found several sources where the same size hoops are available, but none specifically mention the Pathfinder.
Hi Midnight Writer, You can find those hoops on our website! 6x6 Embroidery Hoop: sewing.net/products/blma-150-6x6-embroidery-frame-and-grid 1x2.5 Embroidery Hoop: sewing.net/products/ef73-2-5x1-embroidery-frameand-grid
I just got a Baby Lock Pathfinder but am very familiar with machine embroidery. The simple but elusive answer I cannot find is "How do I go to a specific stitch number or backup a few stitches due to a thread break?" This simple common occurrence is driving me crazy not finding an answer online.
Hi Jill! If you go into your custom settings in your machine, and set it to have a grid in the back of your embroidery design that might help you align the font from your pattern better. Hope this helps!
This is the best video I’ve seen on the Pathfinder!
14:20 how to wind the bobbin. Excellent. Thank you!
Absolutely awesome! Thank you for putting this together. I just got my Pathfinder, and watching your video is going to be a great help!

I wish i can have this machin…my life will change…
My pathfinder skipped some stitches in my pattern….how do I go back and fill in this spot?
Do you know if there is a way to align patterns? I am using font from a pattern I bought and have a hard time aligning the characters.
Hi Jill! If you go into your custom settings in your machine, and set it to have a grid in the back of your embroidery design that might help you align the font from your pattern better. Hope this helps!
