13:22 I think those Painted Ladies are actually a Caulkin’s Gold…I just went through the whole mix up with an Etsy seller. Green/very pale petioles is Caulkin’s Gold and a painted ladies have vivid red petioles

Oh I can’t wait for the melanochrysum video! I am propagating one in perlite right now. It barely survived shipping. I ordered it without knowing how poorly they ship. I had to chop off all of the rotted roots. But it’s got some big healthy roots going now and I am getting to pot it soon so hopefully your video gets posted before that happens! I will definitely watch!
Our local big box store in Canada has an 8" prince of orange and I am SO tempted every time I see it, only $24! I might have to grab it next time I see it, when I seen you at trader Joe's I said "Get it!" I would put that in a beautiful orange pot 😍 I also would have got the golden pothos and melanochrysum you picked up. Great plant finds 💚

I have got a Prince of Orange. Have had about 2yrs and prop. By cutting in half and just stuck it in a pot of soil and it grew like it had always been in this pot. Beautiful plant and so easy to grow. Love all your videos.
I would have gotten the prince of orange and also that philodendron lauderbacia also known as silver sword. Both at Trader Joe’s and maybe the ring of fire at Kings nursery ❤
I have a melonocrysm. It's on a moss pole. I've only had it for about a six weeks but, so far, so good. I did read they like high humidity and moss poles are better because they assist with keeping the humidity up.

The alocasia at TJs was an alocasia lauterbachiana or purple sword. I picked up a massive one recently at B&Ms a UK store similar to your big box stores. The biggest leaf is about 3 foot long!! Would have had to have had one of those ring of fires, such a good price and a plant on my wishlist!

my local plant shop has ring of fire for $300. 😭 they had a glorious for $900 and a 6 in. Monstera Albo for $600. anthurium crystallinum for like $300. i’ve resorted to just ordering online and crossing my fingers it’s as good as the photo.
I am really struggling with my Melanos, i have a big one and already twice the new leaf rotted in the petiole . The small one that sits in my cabinet is ripping out the leaves at 70% humidity (my queen anthurium has no problem unfurling in the same cabinet). I am quite ready to give up, i propagated the small one in a last effort but i don't want to cut the big one yet. I would rather try and sell it localy.
but.. where are you got to PUT the golden pothos? 😅 Hawaiian is just a name for a big Golden. same plant. Alocasia is lauterbachiana. wish we had a T.J. I have never been to Trader Joe's, I might have to check it out. I would say your pothos is a Hawaiian. I have a golden and a Hawaiian. The Hawaiian has rounder leaves and yellow varigation.
