Just hearing her talk in a regular way is also very special. You would think that she only sings Beautiful Music all day, and not talk in a matter of fact way. Amazing, Beautiful Woman🎁🎀
Rest in peace & love Irene Cara 😢. 💐💗💐💗💐💗💐 Thanks for all the beautiful music! 🎶🎶
🌺🌹🌹 RIP Dear Irene Cara 🌺🌹🌹
This album was amazing. It should have been a big success. Top writers and the great George Duke producing. This album was full of potential hit singles. My favorites were "Get A Grip" and "Be Your Number One". I also loved the poster of Irene Cara that was included.
RIP Irene Cara
Sadly she passed away at 63 yrs in Nov 2022. She lived in Largo FL. an area I'm very familiar with in Florida. Praying for family and friends trying this difficult time.
Thank you, Irene Cara, for taking us down memory lane and the years you have shared your talent with us. Wishing you continued blessings and success.
Maravillosa
Dearest Ms. Cara thank you for the music, movies and dances. You inspired me so much over the years. Rest in Eternal Peace. 🙏💔🙏
It is so sad that this was your last podcast! I'll miss you!
Good time music! Got me dancing 💃
I love it ❤❤❤ still blowing. I always wanted to sing like you. A gift from God. 🙏
I miss her so much 😔 but now she lives forever eternally and her music will never die 🎶🙏🏼 peace be with you Irene
I love you ❤️.
Truly Wonderful Vocals from Irene Cara. For me, she's definitely in the group of Greatest Female Vocals of the 20th century worldwide. Those are very demanding notes for the vocal chords! Hats off. And although we hear the studio recording of Now That It's Over, apparently, on stage, Irene made melodic variations upon it when singing it live there in Tokyo. That's always very unique & rare and for me THE proof of a Great Artist! Xx
Thank you for sharing! I use to run around the house playing your music and singing my ❤ out.
Big big fan of Irene... such an artist... some beautiful latino blood (Boricua blood?)... beautiful woman, a winner, a strong person in every way. May the Creator in Heaven bless this fine lady.
I would love to know any back story about "Anyone Can See." I first heard this song in the Winter of 1992 on a DC10, Eastern Airlines, travelling from Richmond to LA on my long journey home to Australia. I met a sweetheart in Richmond VA which became my teenage crush, and later a pen friend and a life long friend across the globe. And ''Anyone Can See", I played over and over on that DC10 Eastern Airlines flight, I believe it was featured in the American top40 countdown flight audio. It brought out all the emotions of teenage love. Hearing it on your channel... just chills, I am taken right back there like it was yesterday... Thank you for creating suck beautiful memories.
The greatest of all time. Simple.
R.I.P.
It's good to know you are still at it. You are one special lady. You made a difference in my life when it mattered. Thank you for blessing us with your talent. "The More You Know The Less Your Fear"
i love this cd especially say goodnight irene. and i also loved precarious 90s.
You are amazing! Labyu always, Irene❤️
RiP sweetie 💗
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🕊❤️ Oh, that unique and beautiful voice!!!!
Cantas hermoso Irene. Saludos
Beautiful song
Rest In Power LEGEND ❤️🌟❤️
The second song should definitely be the closing song in any movie about a love affair gone wrong. It made me sad thinking about my husband of 38 years who I lost in February, 2020. We were lucky to have a love 💕 affair that lasted 45 years and I miss him every day. Thank you, Irene! Hope you are doing well.
Such a great album! I have 2 cd copies and a vinyl copy. I remember being so jazzed to see Patti Austin (one of my other favorite vocalists) in the music video for Girlfriends. Your work continues to entertain and inspire…thank you for sharing your talent with the world.
Hello from Tokyo! Very excited to have found this channel. I was a big fan growing up in the 80s and have followed your career over the years. Thank you for creating this channel and sharing so much great music and stories!
This is so awesome... I had this album back in the day [lost most of my vinyl over the years]. Would love the backstory to Sparkle soundtrack - why was there not a recording of the movie's actors, only the Aretha Franklin soundtrack? Always curious about that... I had to create my own soundtrack with a tape recorder by my tv lol!
I know that's right! NEVER understood why the film's talented actors didn't do the album. Love Aretha, but her recording that album was seriously confusing...😶
I am so pleased I have discovered your channel. This takes me back to a beautiful time of past years, and at the same time, lifts me in the now, the present. I just love your voice, your talent which had such an uplifting and emotional impact on my teenage years, and now, can once again enrich my life down here in Australia. Thank you! I love this podcast!
RIP QUEEN
Hello from Vancouver
J'adore.
Glad you have you masters, hope you are during well through hurricane Ian.
Now That It's over! love this song and your voice! ...Irene, you're unique! 😉
1980s, late night, quiet storm R&B stuff.
I wish I had found this channel sooner - does anyone know if Carasmatic was ever issued on Streaming sites or if it's going to be released as a CD here in the US finally? Listening to that 2nd song - "Now That It's Over - wow - incredible vocals. I wish we could get this song released now in Irene's honor - and give her another big hit that she so deserves.
when will we find "Carasmatic" in Spotify and other digital platforms?
Will start o that next week
