I forgot to mention the handles have a rubberized grip making these scissors comfortable to hold and work with. What scissors are you using?

Be aware that these people do not respond to any communications from their customers. I do not know how they are getting these flowering reviews. They are not even shipping my order though they have charged my card for them. I have emailed them multiple times and gotten absolutely no response. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!
Thank you for giving the heads up about wiping off the oil before the first use. I ordered a pair a few days ago (that half price sale!) and eagerly await delivery.
Hey Michael, that's great. I love mine, and they are still sharp! Let me know your thoughts when you receive them. I think you will be pleased with them. Have a great day. 🙂
I love the sound of fine shears, too. I am a hairdresser and have used highest quality Japanese cutlery and they sound wonderful cutting or just sliding open and closed
i'm so happy for this video because i was straggling to get a nice pair that will work well and hurt less my hand then boom my friend suggested this scissor to me and here i am enjoying my sewing🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Hi Carmen, I saw a Facebook ad a while back and ordered a pair. I love them! When a deal became available for three pair at a good price I ordered them for my three sister-in-law for Christmas this past year. Now I have ordered pair for my brother-in-law: who does auto upholstery work!
Hey Lavada, that is great to hear! I am hopeful these will continue to perform well. Thank you for watching and sharing your experience with the scissors. 😊
I had already ordered these scissors through an ad on FB, and was looking for some reviews, I really liked your demos, The comparison was good, glad to know they come oiled.
Well now.....I think I may have to get these! Ive heard of the company of course but never read/heard a review on the scissors. I'm impressed. Nice review.
Hey Nancy, I'm glad you found it helpful. I forgot to mention that the metal handles have a rubberized coating making them comfortable and secure grip. Let me know what you think of them if you order it. Thank you for watching. 😊
I just got mine today, can't wait to wipe the oil off the blades and get cracking!! So far I am pleased with the look and feel of them. I am using shears I purchased over twenty years ago, still sharp but I couldn't find the brand anywhere so I ordered these. Thank you for the review, I also so the coupon on FB and decided why not?
Great review! I'd love to see a side-by-side comparison with the Kai brand. I love how pretty the Guggenhein's are - that black color is so sleek and the handles look really comfortable.
Hey Jen, I will try that comparison next. I forgot to mention that the handles are rubberized making them very comfortable and secure to grip. Thanks for watching. 😊
I just ordered some, too. I have two great pair of shears but can always use another good pair. I also have my mothers pair but they are just for the memories since they are really DULL.
Yeah, these are well-made scissors I was at fishers was the best and then I got a pair of these. Thanks for the review I was debating on either selling these are keeping them.
I just ordered a pair of those a few days ago so I can't wait to get them. It's my understanding these scissors are super sharp so I was getting a little nervous watching you cut because your fingers were very close to those scissor blades.
Thank you for watching out for me 😉 Yes they are sharper than the Fiskers. I promise to keep my fingers away. Let me know what you think of your scissors when you get them. Thank you for watching. 😊
Since you have music over your video we can't hear the sound of the blade. When doing this kind of review, you might want to not use music over the sound of the scissors. IMO music is unnecessary and even a hindrance in how-to and review videos.
Another thing that’s really great is there agronomic around your thumb area so if you have any arthritis or pain in your thumb and the way that designed the handle is much better than any other scissors ✂️ out there, right!🎉
*I HAVE 2 PAIRS* of these - only a different brand name, but Identical in every way - had them for about 2 years, they have been excellent for detailed and fine work. IF they get "gritty" in the action you will think they need lubricating - they DONT they need CLEANING. something about these they tend to pick up a lot of dust etc?
I use a brand called Wiss, They work great but I wanted a good pair for my Sister so I just ordered a pair of these. I think she will love them , I just hope I don't chang my mind and end up keeping them... lol
I'm a bit confused. Your Fiskas are 3 years old. I think if you compared both as new or both as 3 years old, it would give us a better idea what to purchase.
If you want to blunt your scissors quickly, cut paper. My late mother used to have a pair of dressmaking scissors which looked very much like Ginghers, but I don't recall the brand. What I do remember is that I was forbidden to use them on paper - which for the kind of things I did as a kid, pretty much ruled me out from using them. So how do you cut paper? With a guillotine (which does a better job), or a pair of scissors that doesn't matter too much.
I Have Tons Of These Shears. They Are All The Same Pair Of Shears..…Just With A Different Company’s Name On Them. Same Set Screw, Blades & Handle. $8 Pair Is The Same As $30+ Pair.
Please kind lady, I really need your suggestion!. My mother is almost blind (900%) however she makes bags and many other stuff from fabric or using yarn to knit etc.anything than what a tailor does. What's the best pair of scissors, I can buy for her please? I can't find Gingher in my country, only KAI, Fiskars,Singer and Chinese similar to the one here on this video. Would KAI Dressmaker knife edge, be the best for her, or order the non knife edge version? Please, I need the best for her, She deserves it. I Just need a suggestion please
Hi Linda the company is working on a left handed pair. I can hold and cut with these using my left hand but the handle has a slight curvature to fit the right hand. I hope that is helpful.
I exchanged text with the company about shears for a lefty and was not impressed with their response. Yea, I got the usual response about working on a left-handed model but that was over a year ago and nothing so far. Alas, we live in a right handed world and it is the primal and most primitive prejudice. @@carmensalome
I just got mine, I think the bogus 50% off sale is a bad idea myself, I realised it was a never ending 6 hours left sale before I bought and I very nearly did not buy because of that deceptive marketing tactic, but.. They came today and there was a little oil on the blades but very little, the handles someone else said were sticky rubber and I doi not find that to be the case at all, they are smooth and comfortable to use. I touched the cutting face of the blades with a finger, and for the first time ever I thought to myself dont ever do that again! I only touched them lightly but they cut my skin, not to the pint they bled because I was gentle, but man they are SHARP! DO NOT RUN A FINGER ALONG THOSE BLADES! I am not a scissor snb by any stretch, I have a pair of fiskars fabric shears I have had for many years and they still cut but not nearly as smooth or easy as these, nor have they EVER cut as smooth or easy as these. Cutting a doubled over tea towel with the guttenheim took barely any more force than closing the empty shears. I cant speak for the longevity of course, but at the moment I have to say I have never been as impressed with a tool as I am with this, they are a work of art!
Hi Carolyn. They did not last year, but they were looking to add that to the collection. You may want to chk with them directly. Thank you for watching 🙂
LOSE THE MUSIC.......I want to hear you NOT the background LOUD MUSIC! You are giving an opinion review on a product. The music detracts from that. Just purchased a pair of these scissors. Current scissors are Fiskars.
Hi Del, The orange handle fisker scissors where my very first pair of fabric scissors. I have been using them for over three years. I am using the guggenhein scissors now more. They are sharper and work better cutting knits. Thank you for watching. 😊
Buyer beware. I bought a pair of shears on the recommendation of many UA-cam sewers. Mine are very sharp but there is a burr on the bottom edge that makes it hard to advance. No customer service number and no response to multiple emails.
I am sorry to hear of your experience with these scissors. Mine are still sharp and work great. Steven usually responds to emails quickly. steven@guggenhein.com
Couldn't hear the scissors cutting because of the background music. Why did you have to spoil your video with that added noise? It didn't do anything useful. Your voice would sound fine without it.
I try to avoid buying Chinese goods where I can. I don’t want to feed the dragon and I’d prefer to pay a little more (when I can afford to) for higher quality goods made in the West or by allies of the West eg Japan and Taiwan.
beware. great if there is no problem. No customer service number. no response to multiple emails. no way to leave a review on the website. mine have a burr that makes them useless.
Hi Jacob. That may be true, but it may have occurred during shipping. In either case, they were responsive and sent out a new pair. Thank you for watching! 🙂

Just received this exact pair from Guggenhein. They're currently running a 50% off sale on model. Beautiful and sharp scissors. Best I've ever owned.
Mine are still sharp and precise. So glad you love yours! ✂️
They are on a permanent sale lol
Thank you for giving the heads up about wiping off the oil before the first use. I ordered a pair a few days ago (that half price sale!) and eagerly await delivery.

Thank you for your input. I ordered a pair as a Christmas gift. I'm sure they will be loved now.
I love and use mine daily. Enjoy your new scissors ✂️ 😊
I purchased these shears almost a year ago. So far I like them.
Hi Cynedd that is great to hear. I love mine. I also have the thread snippers and a smaller pair of their scissors. ✂️ love them.
I love those scissors! I know of them from my aunt who had a pair.
Hey Jeannie that is good to hear. I will keep everyone posted how they continue to perform for me. Thank you for watching. 😊
Well…. This sold me. I’ve been seeing them on FB too. Thought I’d look for a review. Thank you! Nearly a year after your video but still helpful. ❤
Hey Jessica I am glad you found this helpful. Let me know your thoughts once you get them. Happy sewing!!
Thank you Carmen. Great review. I immediately purchased a pair at that price.
Hey Carol you are welcome. Let me know what you think of them. Have a great weekend 🙂
Thanks for the review. I have been considering getting a pair.
I am sew glad you found the review helpful. Thank you for watching 🙂✂️
I got them and they cut AMAZINGLY well! I had no problem going through upholstry fabric.
Thats awesome to hear!
My brother gave me those exact scissors for Christmas 2020 - I love them so much - they cut so smoothly!
I agree! Even cutting knits they cut smooth. Thank you for checking out the review. 🙂✂️
I’m eyeballing these scissors. would make a great Christmas gift. Thanks for the review.
I love mine. Enjoy yours. Thank you for watching. 🙂
Fantastic review. Thanks.
Hey thank you for watching ☺️
Great review! I'd love to see a side-by-side comparison with the Kai brand. I love how pretty the Guggenhein's are - that black color is so sleek and the handles look really comfortable.
Hey Jen, I will try that comparison next. I forgot to mention that the handles are rubberized making them very comfortable and secure to grip. Thanks for watching. 😊
Rhe Kais will destroy the Guggenhein scissors but Kai cost far more.
Great customer service. Wow, what’s that? That’s amazing.
Right?! 😀
I absolutely LOVE my Gug scissors....I purchased a second pair! Makes a great gift as well!❤
Hi Dawn that is great to hear. Mine are still very sharp. I love the sound they make when slicing through fabric. Thank you for watching! 🙂
I just ordered some, too. I have two great pair of shears but can always use another good pair. I also have my mothers pair but they are just for the memories since they are really DULL.
Hey Sue that's great! Let me know how they are working out for you. Mine are working great 🙂✂️
You can get your mother's shears professionally sharpened and use them!
Sweet looking shears!!
Hey Mitzi 🙂 it's a very good pair for the price. Thank you for watching 🙂✂️
I ordered a pair, thank you

Could I have the address to order mine? Thank you

Just bought a pair. Waiting on the mailman.
Let me know your thoughts. Thank you for watching.

Hey thank you for watching! 🙂
I agree... rather hear the blades
No kidding!
Music on review is too distracting
Cheesy background noise [music] puts a spoil on otherwise great vids.
Another thing that’s really great is there agronomic around your thumb area so if you have any arthritis or pain in your thumb and the way that designed the handle is much better than any other scissors ✂️ out there, right!🎉
Yes! Thank you for sharing!!
I purchased a pair after seeing this video. I absolutely love them.
Hey Ada that is awesome! So glad you love them ✂️
Just bought some!
Awesome! Let me know what you think. It's a great pair. Cuts smooth and the rubberized grip is comfortable. 🙂✂️
It's difficult to hear the scissors with the background music.
I do plan to order these regardless.

Also take into account the Fiskars are old comparable to the Guggenheimers newness.
Thank you for watching ☺️
How old are your fiskers. Sounds like you're comparing brand new to well used scissors. Not a fair comparison in my opinion.
You commented how you could hear the scissors cut through the fabric but your music was so loud it drowned out the first fabric cutting.
Hi thank you for the review. How have they been holding up?
Great! I love and use them everytime i sew.
I love mines. I bought several different styles.
Oh that's awesome to hear! How long have you had them? Are they still performing well?
@@carmensalome I've had my scissors for 2 years. I bought them when they on a sale. They are still cutting good.
I'm a bit confused. Your Fiskas are 3 years old. I think if you compared both as new or both as 3 years old, it would give us a better idea what to purchase.
Thank you for your feedback.
How are these on cutting a stack of 3 pieces of paper?
Hi Jonathan, I do not cut paper with these. If you try it let me know. Thanks for watching.
