@@RedZoneRogue Re:incarnation is the latest set, the 11th in the key selection series. I havent opened it myself yet, but have some boxes in my possesion. Not every pack has a foil nowadays but you can pull 5 parallel foils (the full arts), 5 sr, 1 lr and a secret. Small chance that youll pull a lrp (lr parallel) or a very (!) rare ??? card. When i open a box i always look the cards up on the Wixoss fandom page. They have the names up there with the flavour text. Great to see where they based the cards on, and also Google translate some funny flavour texts.
@@bobwalrave1877 That's good info! What's the best or most fun sets to open? I might be on the lookout for more since this video is going over well so far XD
@@RedZoneRogue Uhm difficult question, because youre asking a fan. The older sets (wx-01 to 22) have their own kind of charm. I think the first two three of them dont have the zoomed in full arts parallel cards. Ive opened the first set and it definitely doesn't have them. From wx-14 or so, you were guarenteed to get a secret card per box. Wx-17 to 22 have some extra rarities such as reprints and themed series (calender girls, album covers, office ladies, baseball girls etcetera). The wxk sets are solid, with the first five having a foil per pack. Utopia was the third set. There are also two all star sets (wxex) that have only foils, with a sr or lr per pack. The first one is a tiny box with 5 packs, the second set has 20.
My favourite tcg. The two weird things are coins, they are a game mechanic. The single double sided card is a token if i remember correctly. The l in lc and lr stands for lrig (girl backwards). You get 1 lr and 1 special per box: both are textured but the special also has gold hot stamps. The gunsmith cat like sr you got, is drawn by lack. Im sure you remember him from Force of Will. He has drawn some of their best art (rulers) such as zero and (more recently) Reiya!
I love Wixoss! I learned about it from the anime, been looking at picking up a starter deck or some packs but haven't really pulled the trigger, but this video has me really considering it again lol
The gold cards that you pulled are Coin cards. Some of the recent cards have effects that can only activate by paying with a "Coin" card, You could use an actual coin if you want. In the anime, the "Coin" card is what is used for those effects.
haha not gonna lie I really considered learning just to read Wixoss! Did you see that there will be English cards coming to the NA market later this year? I made a video talking about it, I'm so stoked
Man I wish wixross had English printed cards. I bought a few decks before and loved playing the game but found it really hard to get into because of the language barrier.
Yeah definitely sounds like a lot of work haha It would be tough learning that way - I have a bunch of non English cards in various MTG decks but I have them all memorized so it's so much easier
I so badly want to play this game and get my Fiance into it, but I can't read Japanese. :( Also, I may have missed you saying it, but how much does a booster box like this cost?
I'll be making a guide on how to start buying Japanese card games - but they're typically $50-$70 depending on the set - some rare ones are much more. Just know that they're very hard to buy outside of Japan (Amazon Japan and AmiAmi are my go-to sources....ebay can work but it's spendy)
@@imnullandvoid1224 Cheers! I try to make one Wixoss video a week but sometimes I don't have the time to fit it into the schedule haha there will be one for sure next week though! ^_^
So Utopia is actually the 25th(?) set...and I definitely bought another Wixoss box. I couldn't help myself XD
Great Idea, which one did you order?
@@bobwalrave1877 think it's called Reincarnation?

definitely in for more of this! if only because you're having a ton of fun with it!
That OutLaw Star comment made me like this video. Hands down my favorite anime
SUPER underrated show imo!

Thank you for the insight! Also Lack is fantastic, totally didn't realize he did art for Wixoss but it makes sense!
Quickly becoming a big fan of the channel, amazing work
I can tell you this much
I didn't know i needed ruko in a swimsuit before. Until now that is

I've actually justed started watching the anime after all of the feedback on this video - its actually pretty good so far!
AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHH....
You made it look like they finally made an english print. Oh well at least we have pretty Jpegs.
Oh dude I wish haha
WIXOSS actually has a quite original madoka-like anime series. At least original in card game genre.
Hm, I may just have to check it out! Thanks for the heads up
Please open more WIXOSS! Hard to find openings by English channels :(
I may have brought 1....or 4 more boxes haha XD 3 are coming from Japan so it may be a month or two

@@RedZoneRogue I need to rewatch the anime myself. Very good series though.
And I thought TT release english ver of Wixoss. Yeah this game is amazing, but our player base in Malaysia started to drop.
I wish it had an english release!

Yeah I really wanna give it a shot but the language barrier seems pretty steep for me too haha
There are a few translation sources out there but that can be a lot of work making card inserts with English translations.

Hello there, greetings from indonesia
I play wixoss too
Hope you upload more wixoss content
I definitely plan to! Maybe once per week if I can ^_^
Where can I get these cards alone? I want guzuko 😫
Card at 9:50 min has a mech from a series called drivehead
Ah I wonder if they do crossovers like that often
@@RedZoneRogue They even had Transformers crossover and few more
Yo I'd buy it just for that box omg
It's honestly one of the best looking boxes Ive ever seen
Does anyone know if this card game has an English release? Looking for more games to try out.
I've been told by longtime fans that there will prob never be one D:
