Their "for brown" line is supposed to be super pigmented (since it's supposed to show up in darker hair), so that's probably why it looks so pink in your lighter parts

Beautiful! i used on my brown hair with some highlights and it came out like CRAZY pink, and faded to really nice rose gold, i think it's my favorite overtone color i've done purple, green, and extreme pink too!

My hair is similar in color to yours and I just purchased the rose gold for brown hair but I wasn’t quite sure what the after product would be like and for the price I hoped I wouldn’t hate it 😂 but it looks really good so I’m excited. Definitely not the color I was expecting though
I'm glad it helped!! I definitely recommend leaving it on for longer than the instructions say. I redid my color a couple days ago and I find it's good to leave it on for about 30 minutes. I hope it works for you 😊

You probably need a blue or purple toner to make it not go so pink. Ask overtone which one you need. My grey hair turns orange with the chocolate. They told me I needed a blue toner to mix the chocolate with, before applying.
Their "for brown hair" products are hyper pigmented for truer color results on darker hair, so it makes sense that on your lighter blonde/warm brown hair it would come across more bold. If you wanted a more subtle rose gold you'd be looking for their original rose gold product.

Would love an update! I tried the regular rose gold and it seemed like after one shampooing it came all out 😣 even using the daily conditioner didn’t seem to do anything.
I've noticed that it does seem to wash out fairly quickly. It's still evident in my hair, but after a few washes it is much more toned down. I'm actually going to be doing another video soonish trying out a similar product!
the purple for brown hair really sticks. I did mine two weeks ago and I shampoo every day, and my medium to dark brown hair still has mega purple in it.

Hi! I would say it lasted for a few months. I used it early October and it lasted until I went to get my hair lightened in January. I wash my hair 1-2 a week so it may have lasted longer for that reason
I actually ended up getting my hair bleached a little less than 3 months later, and it had faded some but it was still visible. I wash my hair about two times a week so maybe around 24 washes?
Over time? It seemed to last for a few weeks. It never totally washed out. A couple months after I did it, I ended up bleaching my hair. So while it was a lighter pink after a few weeks, I still liked it!
@@SarahMarjorie luckily I have my own gloves but I pulled everything out of the box and there's nothing. Maybe they assumed with the pandemic that everyone has their own gloves now 😂

Hi sarah! How did it look after a couple washes? I've seen many different pictures, some pink, some more rose gold.
It definitely washed out quicker than the Overtone. It's something you would have to continually use to keep the color

With light hair color like hers which has been lightened, a tube of dyrect dye for under 10 dollars would have given better results...

Also, my stylist said the Overtone was making it harder for the bleach to penetrate the hair so it could have lasted longer!

Did you end up using only one 8 fluid ounce container or did you need to buy more to cover all your hair?
I actually didn't use the entire jar on the first application. I was able to stretch it to apply a second time 1-2 months later
How did you get the color off of your hands and neck?
It rinsed off my hands pretty easily, and I believe it washed off my neck the next time I showered.
Does it wash out completely over time?
It lasted until I went to lighten my hair again but I think it would eventually wash out completely. By that time it was just a light pink hue

It is. I like that feature because it means I can change it often, but if you are looking for something longer term, it wouldn't be the best option

That is NOT rose gold. It doesn’t work.
she used rose gold for brown hair, and her hair is blonde, therefore it didn't come out as rose gold. It did work. Really well.
