Mother Mary actually brought me to the Catholic faith. I was raised Lutheran but was so intrigued by Mary that I began watching numerous videos about her apparitions and that led me to adult RCIA and am so much closer to my faith than ever before!
This video has helped me, I was born Protestant and I’m thinking about going to the Catholic Church in town. There’s been fear of rejection but I’m willing to set that aside even if I’m not living perfectly because I believe that this is the way I should proceed.
I went through the same thing. I DID experience rejection but it was totally worth it. The Catholic Church is the fullness of Truth. Life with the sacraments and Our Lady is infinitely superior to life without them. Come home!

What do we find in the roman church? We find an emphasis on Mary and less on the Lord Jesus Christ the author and finisher of our faith. The OP stated this To Jesus through Mary yet you will never find that in scripture . John 14:6 excludes any reference to Mary as being of any part of salvation. Yes she brought Jesus into the world and raised Him up along with His stepsiblings as recorded in the gospels of Mark and Matthew, however beyond that she is not part of salvation nor does she impart graces as only Jesus is God.

Wow !!! This is one of the most profound talks i have heard. This will indeed help me to answer some of the objections i often get to my Catholicsim. You don't need a mediator in coing to God. Jesus is God and He does not need a mediator. He is our mediator in the sense that He died in behalf of us. But He does not need a mediatrix.

I get really tired of Protestants telling me what the Catholic faith is all about. I ask them how they know what Catholics believe, they are always wrong, and I tell them before you hate a group of people which is a hate crime in itself investigate and research before you open your mouth and embarrass yourself.
Respect of Mary as Jesus’ mother, as our mother, as our mediator to her Son should be basic for us Catholics father Chris. I had the privilege to study at Marist School in the Philippines from 1966 to 1977, from elementary to high school. The very motto or adage instilled in our minds was To Jesus Through Mary, our schools battle cry Ad Jesu Per Mariam. Now I get it. We were trained to bring our beads in our pockets and pray it, and I am proud to still always bring it with me. Ever Forever We Will Sing To Mary…our school hymn. Wow! So proud father! I think the main thing we need to take from Mary is just as she carried Christ within in her self in her own womb until fully formed that we also should carry Christ within ourselves until he is fully formed in us.

4-year-old Fr. Chris holding the hymnal made me think of a story my dad still likes to tell was when I was about four the priest had us little ones come up during his homily and sit by the altar and asked us questions. One question was, What do you do before you go to bed? The answer he was looking for was pray. What did little Jay say? Read the bible lol I couldn't read yet, but I sat in bed with a Bible wishing I could read.
In our culture, we celebrate Feminism often incorrectly. The strength and Altruism of the WOMAN is never militaristic, selfish or harsh. Ask a child who has done wrong or perceived wrong who fears/respects the Father but who seeks Mercy, softness and intercession through the Mother. It is nature, inborn to defer to the Woman as children. I agree it's kind of "loophole," in the Divine law as Fr. Chris said. Thank you- I really like learning in "Seminary."

I am just wondering how Jesus Christ feels about ALL these non-Catholics who despite CLEAR explanations on this same topic continue to ignore with hardened hearts. They are deliberate being ignorant, deaf, spiritually blind and their views may mislead other people who regard themselves as Christians as well as lukewarm Catholics. Jesus is not deaf. You don't need a mediator in coing to God. Jesus is God and He does not need a mediator. He is our mediator in the sense that He died in behalf of us. But He does not need a mediatrix.

I had the privilege to study at Marist School in the Philippines from 1966 to 1977, from elementary to high school. The very motto or adage instilled in our minds was To Jesus Through Mary, our schools battle cry Ad Jesu Per Mariam. Now I get it. 4-year-old Fr. Chris holding the hymnal made me think of a story my dad still likes to tell was when I was about four the priest had us little ones come up during his homily and sit by the altar and asked us questions. In our culture, we celebrate Feminism often incorrectly. The strength and Altruism of the WOMAN is never militaristic, selfish or harsh. Ask a child who has done wrong or perceived wrong who fears/respects the Father but who seeks Mercy, softness and intercession through the Mother.
