mine's 6 yrs old, so my parents are buying me a new one, my screen protector failed to protect it, and you can see the inside of the ipad, so it's pretty broken. It still works fine, it still turns on, i can type on it, but it's hard to read messages.
@@gopronomad4381 what about clear nail polish? I tried epoxy but it didn't seem to fill in the cracks. After I scraped of the top it doesn't seem like it seeped in the tiny cracks and I assume nail polish would be better for that.
I have tried nail polishes. I do not know if they shrink when dried or how much opacity changes in time. if the epoxy does not seep in into the cracks, that's fine. my suggestion is just to use them to help the cracks stay where they are and avoid air gaps between the cracked glass surface and the tempered glass. Air gaps will not protect the tempered glass from cracking prematurely.
No, it's literally like you're looking at the original glass itself, and most of all, it feels great to the touch. Better than a plastic or matte plastic screen protector.
James Chia thanks for sharing your opinion but correct me if I am wrong: any plastic layer whether it is tempered glass or not lowers the video quality. it really hurts my eyes since I've installed a so called premium tempered glass! I must choose between the safety of my tab and the wellness of my eyes.
Hmmm, I'm not sure what kind of screen protector you bought but from all the ones I've used and applied (and trust me you can just look at my channel and you'll know) I have never had that problem. The ONLY time I have had a reduction in quality from the screen was when I used a 'matte' plastic screen protector and I never used those again. Since I discovered tempered glass, I have never gone back. Make sure you buy reputable brands such as "Nuglas" and "Nilkin". If you have one of those, you wont have any issues at all. I have stuck with Nuglas as my favorite brand. And of course make sure you're cleaning the screen every now-and-then with just a cloth.

@@sbkmarkel my protective cover was removed from the screen of my cracked iPad. The screen did not adhere to the protective cover when it lifted off. It seems to be a suction lock adherent mechanism. My protective cover did absorb the impact and shattered but my screen had hairline damage (it was stepped on). Just dropped my new one in a parking lot. The case was useless as it landed on the edge/corner when hitting the ground. I have insurance this time (Verizon).

You should apply phone glue vivo 1000 or 2500 and than put glass on so that all would seal together.
What about gorilla glue? Any other kind work, I have loads but never heard of that one.

I wouldn't use the word 'hide' but it will be a quick fix so that it seems as though you have a new piece of glass on top.

Adding a dab of resin or transparent epoxy could have helped with the crack
Can you elaborate please? I am about to cover my cracked screen with a tempered glass protector and a small section by the bezel is shattered.
Adding a dab of epoxy on the crack could help eliminate any gaps and or level any irregularities on the surface I.e from glass fragments etc
It should also reinforce the broken glass so the cracks don't creep towards the center of the screen

You need to use those tempered glass with black corners where the corners are plastic and the screen is glass
