      Can you please tell me how to measure 1/5 cup? I'm not sure what the equivalent is. I was going to just change everything to ¼ cup but that might mess everything up...

    I just made this, and it is easy, delicious and I can't stop eating it! This would be perfect for people who have digestive issues too, though perhaps it might be better with just vanilla instead of lemon for that, but it is just a great recipe. Thank you!

      Did you use cream of wheat or farina? Also, how long did you cook it? I'm in Kentucky and I've never noticed farina in the grocery store.

      @@stellamozzarella1 No problem! I hope it works out. I can't imagine this going spectacularly wrong. It's a simple recipe. The failure modes would probably be "too eggy", "dense bready", "not setting liquidy", all of which don't seem catastrophic. Even if it doesn't set properly, just use it as a sweet creamy topping for ice cream or waffles or some such. :)
      Btw, there are translations, if you turn on Closed Captions.

      Oh yes, Cream of Wheat will make it very dense, but it should still taste good. I was thinking perhaps this would be good cut into smallish chunks, rolled in flour and fried in butter. Of course, I like to imagine almost everything rolled in flour then fried in butter. :-D

    I've just subscribed to your wonderful channel because of your delicious recipes and your presentation of them. I appreciate that you show the steps, have the ingredients shown on the page, you don't have annoying music playing during the video and you don't need to talk to convey the method. This makes for a very practical video presentation of a recipe and it's very much appreciated!
    I usually end up writing a recipe down to actually make it as the video presentation is too long winded whereas, with yours, I can actually use the video while I'm making the dish. Thank you so much for an enjoyable, practical channel!

      @@taffitabing Bake for one hour at 350 deg. F. and then leave to cool in oven with door open. Enjoy!

    I think it just like the cream inside choux pastry, which is one of my favorite food.

      Yes, I mean the pastry cream for choux.
      I even eat the pastry cream with plain bread, and it is sooo delicious.

      Yes you're right, I work in a French pastry shop and the way she make the cake is very similar to the cream we use for our pastry. She uses flour instead of cornflour, but the result is the same, just that she bakes it instead of hardening the cream in the pan (Sorry if my sentences don't make sense, I'm not English but French 😅)

    I am a little over robust but when I watch this Sardinian Sweetheart make something positively as luscious as it is simple, I have to make it. I try not to overdo it. I really try. : /

      @Icecream Headache oh man monk fruit sweetener taste just like real sugar no after taste at all. I enjoy it much and tell others about it. It really has zero aftertaste .. and sweet like sugar.. it’s the best alternative sweetener for diabetes or for anything there is.

      @Icecream Headache I sprinkled it on thin apple slices with some cinnamon an dehydrated them. So good and different for applied slice. A pleasant snack

      @Icecream Headache and I’m gonna try it on sweet potatoes.. it made a nice sugar crust on the apple slices. If you don’t have a dehydration device use the oven. I surprised myself they turned out to be pleasant snack.

    Испекла данный десерт . Слегка студенистая консистенция . Мне кажется надо было добавить щепотку соли ( нет вкусового баланса). Но попробовть можно . Всем удачи и счастья.

    Just made this cake! It came out perfectly. I used a 22cm dish and I also added vanilla extract. The texture is really like a flan... À lemon flan... Soooo yummy! 🍰😋 Thank you. I've been watching your channel a while but this is the first cake I made but certainly not the last 😉

      А по мне, так по рецептуре это "Датская детка", только ее пекут при более высокой температуре и тесто тогда пузырится сверху, но потом оседает и получается не таким высоким. Но хочу попробовать и так испечь....

    Sans le citron, ce gâteau s'appelle tout simplement un far, toutes les grands mères le faisaient en Bretagne et notamment dans le Finistère, venez le goûter dans notre belle région 😉

      Eggs have a high fat content so if you get sick from fat in your diet like me...U quickly get used to Not using eggs ....it can make people sick!

      María da graça...
      4 ovos
      150 gramos de açucar
      150 gramos de farinha peneirada
      Raspas de 1 limao e o suco do limao
      450 ml de leite
      Untar a forma e levar al forno aquecido a 180 graus , mais menos 1 hora . Esfriar e desenformar e colocar açucar glas por cima.
