I think Michael has expressed wanting to return to the franchise as Burt in interviews for this movie. They filmed this scene two ways and universal went with this one to not have to pay Michael for any new tremors movies. Payment disputes also lead to Jaime Kennedy not returning in this one.
@@Sev3617 It's unlikely but maybe you're confusing Michael Gross with Bruce Campbell who retired from acting and stopped playing his character from the evil dead movies. Michael himself said that Burt may return.

Or alteoris video review might’ve mentioned something on it, I’d have to go look at it again.
yep what we didnt see was him cutting himself out at the last second as he road it down so when it went boom the camera was on the wrong side as he walked away like a boss with the explosion behind him

Don't think he's actually dead. The stuff they recovered of him was too neat. He didn't throw it off before it ate him, nor did it get spit out by the graboid. He wants to be left alone and didn't do a good enough job hiding at the beginning of the movie. Who's going to go looking for someone everyone believes is dead?
He got a good ending! But, and I say this full heartedly. There will never be a greater underdog than Burt Gummer! Thank you sir, it’s been a pleasure seeing these stories all these years. Now the only hope they have of maintaining older fans of the franchise if they dare make another sequel is to bring back Kevin Bacon.
What I love is they are smart enough not to show the body. Burt could be alive. Could be dead. Choose your own ending for him. It’s the best kind of finale for a beloved character. The kind we get to choose vs being disappointed by an absolute.

I had to slow it down to confirm the Graboid did in fact swallow burt. It did. That being said, if there is one man that could survive being swallowed alive, launched off a cliff onto a bed of spikes and blown up it's Mr. Gummer 🫡

This is the first time I’m seen this scene. I’ve seen Burt get eaten alive by those tremor worms but I never thought to see day to see him go out like that. Yes Burt Gummer Yes! Telling the worm off. Lol 😂 so funny and memorable.

Guy was 75 years old and these movies were terrible after the first few. Honestly I didn't even realize for years they kept making them. Loved them as a kid. Sometimes a series needs to end before it becomes what this did.

Should the tremors franchise make a comeback with another film,i say that it would be the perfect opportunity for kevin bacon to finally return as val, along with the actor that played rhonda and any other living actors from the first three installments and the old tv series. Years ago there was a channel that posted the full episodes on UA-cam but it disappeared and that was annoying too. They don’t seem to care about it now so I wanted to reach out to the tremors community and ask for anyone who would be willing to help ensure that the tremors series is available to all fans across the globe. I would ask if they’d be willing to record and post the full episodes of the series on UA-cam so that we can help keep a piece of the tremors franchise alive and available for everyone to watch and enjoy.
