That’s a good idea using clothes pin to support ripening fruit. I saw this in your vids last year. Also thanks for letting me know who you got your smith becnel from. I was able to get one from Peter this winter.
Im ready for some candy figs i started a cutting this year hopefully it wont take too many years...if i stick it in a big 27 gallon pot will i get fruit faster?
Lol. Probably not faster ( that depends on a cutting ), but transplating young rooted plant into that size container might not be as convenient if you would need to move it during dormancy. But if that is not an issue, it is doable, your tree will grow faster and larger in 27g. pot. For reference, my CC is in the 10 g grow bag.
@@backyardfigs nice yea im in california 9b i started in fig pops and 4x12 tree pots most cuttings are now in 5 gallons and some in 15 gallons hoping to put them all in 27 gallons before end of year as i can procure them at 5$ per half of a 55 gallon barrel and i got 47 out of my 50 varieties to root!
