Hi, I'm Chommang. :)
Today, I uploaded a short video of how to draw a face.
This method is largely divided into two steps.
Step 1, you have to draw a simple face structure.
This is the most important thing.
You need to get used to this step.
(There are many videos on UA-cam that explain this step, so look for them.
And there's a video I made, so I'll hang up the link.)
And step 2, you can decorate it by looking at the pictures.
(You can find the photo I refer to at the link below.)
I hope it helps you practice. 🤗

These videos remind me how much I need to stop overthinking art😭 like i really need to stop over polishing the base sketch bc that will eventually come just last
Yeah same
Gahhh same :' I almost thought it's just 'perfectionism' but what I did is definitely useless so yeah- I should be more confident ;-;
I forget what youtuber said this, but they something along the lines of “all art has an “ugly” phase, just keep going it will look way better” and honestly that changed my perspective completely and it’s so true
👍🏽
Do what you like... I mean if you like to trace the lineart/final over your sketch and you need it to be exact then do so, if you want to so messy sketch like this and won't have trouble "adding details" later then its good too
The strokes of the pencil... So smooth and confident. Cant wait to get to this level 💜
I'm at this level with face but with face only 😂 so face is easy peezy and looks good and body and everything else.... Uhm
Same
I love your pfp and username
I wouldnt say the lines are straight though but good nonetheless
That's great, if you wait you won't get anywhere
You know someone has been doing art for a long time when even their rough outlines look better than your attempt
THATS WHAT I WAS THINKING I JUST DIDN'T HAVE THE VOCABULARY!
Because he jumps steps, (draw a circle now draw some details) its not very helpful
@@HowToEatChihuahuabro it’s helpful
@@HowToEatChihuahuahe had a few seconds. What do you want him to do. Go see his full videos
That’s where I mess up at, trying to draw details to early 😤😤 I just need to take my time 😆
Lol same, i always start with the details and then the face looks like a monster because it has no proportions
@@MonkeFlip2000 LOL
Yeah lol you do
this is the most rerlatable comment that ive seen all week
Yo same, my problem is that when I draw, I always want it to look "perfect" right away, which I now know is a mistake and I should be focusing on getting the fundamentals to be right
1st step: draw a circle
2nd step: add details
This is the equivalent of "I did some building off camera"

The drawing of the person has more confidence than me
Ikr 😶
Yeahh it shows how skilled he is ahhh so cool xd
As art is the outer expression of the artist, you can also some that the artist themselves carry that confidence with them. Cultivate confidence by improving your art. I just found that out and it's helping a lot. Best of luck
Haha lol omg you're so funny, make a talk show, be the host or something
@@burntchickennugget8142 lol you have the BEST sarcasm in the entire world, so funny that it’s cringy
i've been drawing for 4 years, faces and heads are supposed to be the thing one learns first and should "master" at this point, but somehow i always manage to struggle one way or another. to me, they're the hardest thing to draw, but seeing you draw them helps me a lot, and since i've started watching your videos i have improved a lot and they're not so hard to draw as they used to be. thank you
it’s literally ridiculous how much this just helped me, omg, i’m always over complicating my art when i start drawing and simplifying it when i begin sketching like this helped me so much
Bruh how can such a simple sketch turn into something that beautiful
Cause the simple sketch is needed to finish the drawing
Ikr
I'm not suprised you're wandering cause they ain't explaining shit lol
@@rozaliakaleta1762 How to start drawing like a pro: stop sucking at doing art

Ok, I can do this,

Wait, where’s the circle?
You made my day XD

why is your name so edgy

Never pass judgment on an artist's unfinished work.
I love how he's process is like
Draw a circle.
then draw :

It made so much of a difference drawing faces
The confidence in every stroke just blows me away
Is this me or anyone else also find the sound of pencil lead satisfying.
Yes
Same here...!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩
It really annoys me
I found it awful in this case
It’s literally hurting my insides
"you need to get used to doing the first step"
dude knows our suffer of drawing circles 😂😂
😁
Practice drawing circle that’s what I did
Yes so true.
Bruhhhh Sameee Drawing is Sure Hardd
True
I absolutely adore your art. I can stare at it for hours!!!
Accidentally stumbled upon your channel and couldn’t be anymore grateful for the tips! Your tips on the base of a face by far is the simplest and the best one! Thank you for sharing, hope to see you fly high in your art career!
thanks so much for inspiring me to draw in this kind of style! my art has never been better
So thats how you transform a rough sketch into a complete drawing 😯
That simple structural face already looked greattt ur a natural wooww👏👏❤
This is the greatest tutorial. Its so easy to follow and the simple face trick works so well. I'm drawing better than I would have thought. Thanks for this tutorial.
That reminded me of the times, when I was overthinking every sketch. But nowadays, I feel really confident and I sometimes don’t even need to erase more than two little things. ( I love drawing / art) (sad story I am a perfectionist haha )
1st step: Draw a circle **very easy!**
Me: **Fails** 👁👄👁
Fr tho
Ikr
LOL same
Oh no
I never tried drawing because I thought it was a natural gift I wasn’t born with, but what I realized is many of the amazing drawings you see are made with patience and erasers
Being an artist myself...everytime I hear sound of pencil on paper.... best feeling 🤩👏👏👏
The reminds me of minecraft tutorials. They will be like "Follow these simple steps" Then the video=
"How to draw a face"
*proceeds to draw a face without telling us how*
Its a watching tutorial you see how he does it how he makes the first step than put the eyes and features
Just copy from the reference photo that you have This is not a step by step tutorial ok
This is not a step by step tutorial ok
You need to get used to the first step.
Chillllll
his basic structure is my masterpiece
I know some people don’t find things like this particularly helpful, but as a more advanced perhaps intermediate artist, it’s simple things like watching the subtle variations in other artists’ processes that can teach you some new tricks. The part before any details are added is seriously the most important thing. Beginners struggle to believe it once they see detail.
the initial sketch looks better than anything i’ve ever done
relatable
thats a lie right
Thats sad
69 likes that’s cap bro
This gives me the appreciation for anime artists who have to draw every frame and repeated this complex process so very often.

I dun been doin it all wrong for almost 2 years
Turns out a realistic face you draw a circle and half of that yo draw a line under the circle and here its the whole circle tha face.
Thank you i finally get it
It's been 2 years since I watched this video now I've gotten a lot better It's so nostalgic to see this video again
Ouhhh so that is how you do it
That went from cute to HOLY MOLY THAT'S FANTASTIC
Whaaaaat? I normally get the same result without the beginning but I love how the beginning looks. Feels so professional.
Wow, incredible tips, guys. First draw the simple stuff, there's tutorials out there. Second, add details. I never thought of that
I am from India I love your videos
Thanks :) I live in Korea, haha. 🤗
I'm from India tooooo
Step one: *draw a circle*
Everyone: *leaves*
Thank you this is my first time drawing anything near realistic and this is really helping me so far
As soon as I saw this guy draw a circle, I instantly knew I would be able to do this
this show how exactly practice goes to perfection
This is the perfect example of “don’t judge a drawing by its early stages.”
1st step:have talent
2nd step:draw
3rd step:DONE.
You have no idea how much this has helped me thank you so much
Just a bit reminder:
You don't have to follow the exact of this drawing (unless you want to). This is more like a tip to draw head so it'll be easier for you as a guide to drawing head.

Amazing how you can turn a circle and some lines into a beautiful picture

It's more realistic than I thought I love it❤
This is very informative for new artist when me personally draw realistic and realism i sometimes finding the right shapes. Art is just shapes with complex details
hey!!!! sending love from Brazil, your videos always have been helpful for me!!! thanks 🙌🤠💖
i love to use double circle when draw a head
Drawing is such a mind boggling process
I hate the fact that I’ve only ever drawn fully detailed from the beginning. On one hand, not smudgy from lead but it has taken me 6 years to be able to draw freely without any pencil circles and lines. That’s 6 years of persistently detailed drawing and it’s been one hectic rollercoaster. It’s paid off though! Somewhat 😆
The Loomis method is great for that first step. Even better, you can download his books for free; they are in free domain and available in pdf form.
Yes👍:) I already have it 😁
This is actually very helpful, thank you so much ♥️
After watching this I now feel braver to attempt a face.
Best example of trust the process
The way you do it makes me laugh at mine, this is amazing.
Lmao I developed a crush on your drawing
Same
Thanks for this step i really need it for my teacher its my assignment❤️
Y’all make it look so easy
My art teacher use to say get something down on paper as an indicator for where things should go, even if its just a line or two. Make sure your proportions are okay and then go into details
Tysm!!!
My teacher request me to draw her. I use your steps. And she likes it! Tysm!!!!
I really like you're art style simple yet beautiful
It worked for me :D my 7 years of drawing paid off
I love your work, it makes me want to continue doing art too!!!❤️
I can’t draw such style but I can draw that in manga anime style so I guess I’m at your level
Even the rough looks good
I like the sound of the pencil
Its statisfying
I love how it just goes from:

Ameiii o desenho, meu sonho é desenhar assimmm 😍❤️
This helped me much more than i expected
Thanks so much this was perfect, now I can draw faces with ease 😂
Tutorial videos be like:
Step one: draw a circle
Step two: finnish the drawing
Lol
First step : *takes 2 minutes to learn*
OK BREATHE DEEPLY
Second step : *take years of practice for details*
Thanks for watching guys ☺️
Hope you guys make it
I love how every drowning start with some circles and ends up with a beautiful art bwt great artwork
I never knew my imperfect circle can make a masterpiece 😳
You don't need a step by step tutorial for drawing, return to the fundamentals, start with lines, and then the three basic shapes in organic life, boxes, cylinders and spheres, draw these, draw a ton, try to take perspective into account.
Move on to looking at standard objects and breaking them down into these three dimensional shapes, without filling in details, start to learn to see shapes, fail miserably, but continue to observe and mark what you did wrong.
Heads are just a series of shapes, study them and observe them, break down the shape of the skull and draw lightly.
Look into the Loomis method, reiley method, and so on. This is the path to progressing, this is the path that will show improvement beyond any step by step. Drawing requires you to learn to see, it's up to you!
First step: Learn how to draw a face just without nothing only with a circle bc u r badass
Second step: draw the circle
Third step: add details/the rest of the face
So easy xD
This is a really good tutorial thank you
Beautiful Very nice.. I watched the full video
I feel like the title is directed at me. I need to get used to drawing big drawings lol
Me: draws circle
*blinks*
“Okay now we are going to draw the details for the face-“
You only need 2 lines.
This looks like he's drawing a map 😂
Wow. It went from undefined to art so fast
I always get so inspired watching you draw 😖😖😖
I would try this but I'm a perfectionist so i feel like I would start to freak out in the very beginning
Same, same. 😭✋🏻
He begins with a few construction lines to make sure the features are properly in place, then he begins to refine them one after the other. That's how all good artists usually work. The artist must have the idea he intends to draw already developed in his head before he puts any mark on the paper.
This is a real masterpiece
Thanks for the tip now I can draw much better :)
Es muy lindo :) ♥️
After making the outlines
Just add some tiny "details"
Greetings friends,
very good. face sketch.
