Just found an incredible copy of this on vinyl! Only pressing - from the Netherlands. Mine is autographed and dated on the back of the jacket and personalized with a note by the lead singer/instrumentalist (obviously at a live show). Furthermore, the generic paper inner sleeve has 2 hand-written lyric blurbs, another note [in Spanish!] and another signature. So F*@KING COOL!!!
Wow! I’m amazed at how well this album is sounding right now… just discovered it. I hear a lil Sad Lovers & Giants so far! Excellent production too🎉🎵🥰🎶🙏🏻 still listening and loving it entirely ✅
Very nice album. Some of the songs have a definite R.E.M. instrumental sound to them. Another band in an endless list of bands that showed great potential but unfortunately, for whatever reason, never did make it.
I bought this record decades ago, but it is with great dismay that I found out that termites had invaded one of my music cabinets and destroyed 5 vinyls, including that one. Now, I'm listening to it, trying to figure out the reason why I had bought this record in the first place. Usually, it's because of a song, but so far I didn't find any song vastly superior to the others. The second thing, I'm trying to figure out, is to whether I should repurchase this album. It's not cheap and to complicate matters, the shipping now is usually outrageous. I think that I will put the decision on the back burner and think it over.
thanks for the upload! i was looking for something exactly with that sound. energetic but calm. introspective but happy. this is so much more original than all the other things i found classified under "post-punk new-wave". why is this band so unknown? what else would you suggest, similar? the closest thing i could compare this sound to is probably talking heads, of which i'm an enormous fan.
marlon williams vibes towards the end... wonder if he got some inspiration here? luv it been into the post punk lately, the sound, the chameleons, joy division, etc
Conventional thinking dictates getting widespread radioplay and sales equates to "making it" in the music world because cash is king, but I say NO!!! Making exceptional music like this should be the measure of ones achievement not commercial success. Better to be a sage then a sellout.

Kind of like if Talking Heads and Fleetwood Mac had a kid

Where can I find something about them?
Also sound like China Crisis.
The band has some of XTC, specially the bass line on You and I, it has very much of Colin Moulding style.
I was going to mention XTC and Sad Lovers & Giants ❤
